  1. As some know I'm part of FLK

I started a few years ago and a week after I started FLK, I came into my first job which was arable contracting. Which meant long hours and virtually no spare time. Coupled with boozing weekends and all that other stuff young people do, there was very little time for the mod.

I then went to North America (I'm from New Zealand) for 6 months on a harvesting cew. Came back to my same job, no time etc.

I'm now in the UK, where most of the mod people are from and do not have a computer here thats mine to install the modelling software.

What I'm trying to say is it's just an example of how one members time is very restricted to what he can do. I very much love the mod. But my personal life does come first. This is what some people don't realise. We work when we want to work. If you don't like it, take it elsewhere because we don't want to hear it.

As far as rumours go, well rumours are just that.

  2. Hi.

Yes P Machine is a Kiwi as I understand it. He was around some time ago. Not sure where he went to. But I think he was also working on some NZ landrovers. As a Kiwi myself, I'd love to see someone start building some NZ army thingies.

I currently reside as a modeller at the falklands mod - check us out. Falklands Mod

    Cheers. Nick.

  4. We are looking for a person willing to give us a hand with our MOD.

We require someone who is competent at modelling and can create items in Oxygen for the islands. You must also be able to texture. However the main type of person we are looking for is someone who can place island objects, such as bushes and rocks. You must have experiance with Visitor/WRP Tool/WRP Edit. You will be required to have knowledge of the Falkland Islands and the type of terrain and prevelant features.

We can and will assist you with any queries that you may have regarding your works accuracy.

You will be working alongside the ship god CBFASI mainly. But you will also be heavily involved on the forums.

As rewards for your efforts you will get to beta test certain things that will be released at the authors descretion.

We are not looking for anybody to do this. You must have a genuine intrest in the conflict.

Please reply here if you are intrested.

Cheers - NJN - Falklands Modeller.

  5. Those are those Aeromacchi MB332s (?) right? I didn't know they were flown by the Argentine Navy. Cool. They look great! smile_o.gif

I was going of a series of pictures for the camo scheme. The same scheme which also had the ARMADA text on the side which does indeed mean Navy.

Thanks for the positive feedback all. Credit goes to Crippler for the textures!

  6. Most famous beers here (so probable the best ones too) are Jupiler, Stella Artois, Palm, Duvel, etc

I sometimes drink some beer, but i'm only 16 so i don't do it a lot at all.  It's legal to drink it here, as far as i know in the US you need to be 21 to buy it.  Or was it 18?  Oh well...

Here you can buy beer just like you buy normal food...

    21 to drink

    18 to smoke

18 to get in a strip club

18 to be charged as an adult

17 to register for selective service

17 to get drivers license in NJ

Raise your hand if you the drinking age should be 18 biggrin_o.gif

    Heh New Zealand Rocks _b

    18 to Drink

    18 to smoke

    18 to buy porn

    16 to have sex

18 to be charged as an adult (i think)

17 to register to vote (18 to actually vote)

    15 to Drive!!!

    16 For firearms licence (A cat, 21 for B and C cat 18 for E cat)

Heh it's not like anyone actually obeys the first four laws anyway, especially the fourth one.

Anyway back on topic. Favorite beers are (in order). Tui, Speights, Heinikin, VB, DB Draught

  7. Hi all.

Please do take note of the Alpha/beta text in the lower right hand corner of the images...

Alot has been done since then on the Macchi (MB339), middle drop tanks replaced with mk 82 bombs, new wheels and landing gear, new sneb textures, and just did some more general tidyness.

I'll be rebuilding the fusalage for the fourth time because theres an error with it that needs fixing. (You can't see it in the pic)
