You have to DePBO the dtaext.pbo located in OperationFlashpoint\dta\ -folder, there you can find file(s) called "equipment.html" (it's in all game's languages). Open it and edit it with a notepad and you'll see all weapons and their info. I guess if you include your weapon to this list, its info will appear in game. But unfortunately editing dtaext.pbo for addons is useless because every other addon user must have similar dtaext.pbo which may lead to problems. I tried adding a "equipment.html" with my guns info to get it working easier way, but it didn't work. I made a few changes to dtaext.pbo itself, mostly some incorrections like missing image and info for East mine and Strela, if someone want's the pbo just note me . I hope that BIS helps us in this question. And if there's no solution I hope that they make it so in next patch that you can make your own "equipment.html" (also in different languages) into addons pbo to get your weapons info working.

I remember one CTF game on public server few months a go (one of my best experiences in OFP actually ), we took a Blackhawk with MG, I went in as a gunner and two my fellow soldiers boarded the chopper. The one guy in cargo paradropped out near the enemy flag. Then he managed to take the flag and hid, we landed our chopper near the enemy base to pick up our fellow soldier. I saw few enemy soldiers coming from the hill with their guns blazing at our chopper, but because I had a nice .50cal those guys didn't have a change. Meanwhile the flagman boarded our chopper and we flew to our own base, a perfect cap I would say .

You must create CfgAmmo class if you want weapon using new ammo type. Example: class CfgAmmo { class Default{}; class BulletSingle: Default{}; class PPsh41ammo: BulletSingle { hit=12; indirectHit=0.1; indirectHitRange=0.1; }; }; hit, indirectHit and indirectHitRange decides how much damage ammo does and how accurate it is. Name of the ammo class must be placed like this: class Single { ammo="PPsh41ammo"; multiplier=1; burst=1; etc..... And for Bizon sights, use "\Bizon\optika_bizon.p3d" Hope this helps .

Hmm that's a good question, did you use GFX's old MG42 ,which doesn't have muzzle flash, or his new version which has proper working muzzle flash? -

Because in OFP there isn't a real "silencer". You can only make a weapon model that has already a silencer and ammo for it must be made "silent". For example if we add ability to use AK47 mags in silenced Grozas, then only the "silent" ammo is silenced not the AK47 ammo. But if there's a solution then please someone tell us. -

Although it has one big bug, you can't see the gun itself rotating in AH-1, the muzzle flash goes where you point the cannon but the cannon itself doesn't move . I hope BIS fixes that sometime. It's really designed for SpetzNazs and other Russian special troops,(that's why it can also use standard AK-47 mags as SpetzNazs often operate in areas where AK-47 is widely used, like Chechnya) though it's still a bit rare weapon. Normal Russian army uses still the old AK-74. Thanks for the tip Keg we'll add that in the next version which we'll start probably making this evening. Not sure what we do next, probably a Suomi SMG for Resistance since we have config + other stuff ready for it . -
Ah the good old "Pasi" . Never heard of? Uced in all UN operations around the globe . A very good and reliable Finnish APC. /edit Wow Keg looks nice, but is it hard to find textures for XA or is it just that it's hard to skin? If it's just hard to find textures then just go to Parola .

You can always use TexView to save the needed paa/pac-files in tga-format and then edit them in PhotoShop or so.

And AFAIK you can't change the game code and do new animations so "a total conversion" is quite impossible to do... (correct me if i'm wrong ) IMO "an OFP mod" is just a bunch of great addons that share the same idea, but if we could change the game code and so, then we could make a total conversion. Just my opinions of course .

Dont know when itll be out though. I don't think so. If you just release the fixed addon (without any changes to config except the cfgmodels) with its default readme and with all files that came in the original zip (like jpgs and so) then there shouldn't be any problems. I've now fixed all UceE's unit addons to work correctly with pistols and I'm thinking to release them again. I think it's OK as long as you don't take any credit of the addon for yourself . -

Yes I also recommend UceE's suberb Russian units. He has also made some very nice units for Resistance, you can get them all from OFPEC. P.S. I've heard rumours that UceE is back in addon business again .
