I reckon stem cell stuff is very good, as it could lead to great discoveries. As for cloning, there doesn't seem much justification for it. That doesnt necessarily make it bad, things are generally neutral, and become good or bad depending on our personal view of the world. As for the people invloved, well, it not like they don't have the technology or money, but, as it's the Raelians that are the folks behind it, the whole thing is suspect. Years ago i saw raelian cultists raising money to build an "alien embassy", one of the  requirements for the embassy was a nice big swimming pool (and spa, of course). So their motivations and ethics are highly questionable. And i reckon that the first human cloning would never make it to mainstream public awareness, not a chance.

In mp terrain is defaulted back to low, so everyone is even (unless server has set up a higher setting i guess).

Got to the general area of grid ref FB 58 on malden, try it there. At high and very high the area is completely different.

Hi Gazoo, I've made a few movies latley, (and slowy making one for avons o/mtv), and have done so using an average tv / video capture card, with the source fed from a second computer. For a while it didnt seem to work, with skips and stuff in the recording. But lately i started recording in uncompressed .avi format, and it is ideal. Frame rate is high, and quality looks like the game itself. This results in huge files, like 500 meg for 20-30 seconds, but from there you have the option to compress it to whatever quality / size / format you desire. Avi files are also alot easier to work with when it comes to editing the footage, as mpeg can take heaps of CPU usage, and can generally be a pain when they do that. So thats my tip, use a capture card if you can, and .avi to record and edit, though mpeg-2/4 is best for final export in my experience so far, havent tried windows media yet. And you also can use ingame footage and recorded cutscenes, its really up to you, have fun Â

Yeah nice work there nik, its good to see such a large place in ofp. All those tunnels at the bottom are nice, would definatley be fun in mp.

Creating a new group with createunit

I mentioned this somewhere else a while ago, but its worth saying again. If you make your guy with the group name in his init, put a "deletevehicle this" in his init as well. Then you have an empty group (and no unit on map at mission start / load), and if you assign waypoints to that one guy, new units spawned into that group will follow those waypoints. -

Setvelolcity can be used to do a little prospero style jump off the ramp, like instead of using first action of HALO to eject, use it to jump from ramp (cant remember exact distance, but "soldier distance helo > xx" command can be used to work out when person is at ramp or past it.)

Ok, i just posted updated Combat Patrol in user missions, and will post any further updates there. Im sure someone could write a re-useable script for adding smoke/flares to OH6, maybe one could eventually be put in addon pbo and called like the snow/northen lights in Winter Nogojev. Enjoy KeyCat  , Below is link to updated version of Combat Patrol for SEB Nam Pack 2. I added respawn and vrs.sqs for vehicle respawn, "Drop Flare"  between 18:30 to 05:30, took out AirCav and added two more oh6/ah1 teams, and more VC. The extra helos mean ai will have mid-air collisons more often than not. They also dont really stick to flyinheight. In earlier versions there was 7 areas where VC could be found, now there are 16 areas. I have not had time to set up deleting dead vc, so if you go for the full 40 combat points, there will end up being alot of vc on the map. Combat Patrol 1.3

I'll see what i can do Evis, and post a new verison today or tomorrow (need to hammer out some cutscenes for bas today). Earlier today i added the flare drop PitViper suggested, and that works well , looks cool. When mission starts there are only 3 squads and a few mgs on the map, and over 70 VC waiting to spawn from a script as the teams fly over certain areas. As long the dead VC get deleted, there can be many more. And i will add some random enemy along roads and sampans in the rivers.

KaRRiLLion: As guys said, cant quite be in it while moving, but can be in while its in the sky, theres a few tricks and sleight of hand that may work. It does mean running a line of paratroops out the back is possible (im playing around with your HALO.sqs to see how it can be used for this) B@ZOOKA: That was me crouching there, taking in the view. Necromancer-: Yep can walk over + shoot from second gunner pos, but as above movement is still tricky, so more practical when helo is hovering. Smogmorph: Yep, shooting from moving vehicles screws up aiming

Running around in helos is fun, but running around helos with Deltas is more fun Skaven, Fransden and Wetwork have done an excellent job on these fellas.
