I don't think you can really compare Mi-26 to other choppers as it's unique in its class. But in this mission it was used to rescue only 12 people and when you think about the size of this thing, I'm quite sure there's plenty of room for some extra fuel .

Voted 8 as that's the way I play most often, coop all the way. I also make addons for FDF mod and sometimes missions, usually coops. Well made campaigns and single missions are too my favourites, especially ones using addons.

Cheez guys, this guy only asked cheats for SINGLEPLAYER, what does it matter if someone uses cheats in SP ? After I've completed some game, I usually start messing around with cheats for SP. For example in Aliens vs Predator 1 I could spawn some friendly soldiers to cover my back, and that increased athmosphere quite a lot .

Do you use 'high' or 'very high' terrain detail? That's one thing that makes OFP sluggish even on most high-end systems. I use 'normal' and the game runs smooth and terrain looks still very nice .

Also, the latest ones made it possible to use huge islands with lots of objects in lower end systems, definately one the best fixes for OFP. And AI handles planes now quite well, try some dogfight with BIS' camels and you'll see .

It can be both, once I get back to Germany I'll scan some pictures. There can be two 7.62mm mgs on the nose and one 12.7mm. 7.62mm mgs are below guner and pilot and 12.7mm sticks out right from the nose. Elevation for 12.7mm is probably quite small, something like 5 degrees vertical.

This shows again what kind of hysteria media can cause by telling their stories .

FDF mod uses already scripts from ECP and we are adding more ECP effects to next versions. So I don't really think there's any point running ECP and FDF mod together .

I bet it's movable, atleast vertically. I've seen some photos of old DDR Mi-8s with that nosegun and in some pictures it's facing a bit upwards (say 5 degrees or so) and in some it's facing downwards (maybe 45 degrees). However the nosegun placement is a bit wrong. It's attached to lowest cockpit window so that the gun itself comes into cockpit and the barrel is left outside. The window is replaced with panel. And what I've read its name is A-12.7.

Is the 12.7mm nosegun on Mi-8M really vertically turnable in real life? I thought you could only move it horizontally ?

Any nearby A10 (LGB)s will recognize the laser as an "enemy" and thus they try to bomb it. It helps a bit if the A10 is in your group.

Yep, Cloney is right in this. A good optical zoom is one of those "must have" features if you want to take good photos whenever you want (forget digital zoom). Ever tried to take a photo of some animal (no, not in zoo), quite impossible without good zoom. Yes, you're right .

I know. But in DoD it can be compared easily with the real smgs or BAR, in narrow maps and close quarters combat I mean (or was it battle?).
