    yes...converted. but well, the lynx might indeed need that speed to escape because any other helicopter will shoot it down without any problem. even if the hind is the fastest heli, it still is a sitting duck compared to more agile attack helis like apache or the tiger helicopter. air combat is all about movement.

    !!some of the below may have already been posted!! 1. parachutes should not smoke when destroyed. 2. ai helis colliding mid-air happens way too often. 3. units sometimes ignore enemies (mainly happens when enemy retreated, regrouped and continued movement ot next waypoint, however enemy didn't shoot either. 4. add new russian heli: MI17 w/o weapons or only with side mounted PK. 5. even when rifle has only one or two remaining bullets and you shoot in burst mode, the 3-burst sample ist still being played. Furthermore if you have ammo left and reload weapon you should get a fresh clip plus the chambered round making 30+1 (31 rounds total) in case of M16 or AK74 as an example. 6. teach ai how to drive and maintain squad cohency 7. commander on Bradley is very inefficient due to fixed viewpoint to turret. the commander can not turn the turret and thus relies on the gunner to look around for him making commanding the bradley without 3rd person view almost impossible even though this might be realistic. a possible solution and a very useful implemtation would be to allow tank commanders to give orders to the gunner on where he should look like you would do with infantry men. just hold alt key and click when pointing at direction you want soldiers/gunner to face. should be very easy to add but yet very very useful in game. just a tip. 8. the yellow brackets around given targets very often are not updated correctly with the current position of the target. i dont know weather this takes into account that sight has been lost but i'd then prefer to loose the target completly instead of hunting and outdated marker. if changed that way, ai should be able to loose a target like this as well. 9. animations like going prone when shot at and the generel response of some units takes far too long. sometimes they start to get their weapons in the hands after half their squad has been wiped out. increase response time so that units react more simultaneously to threats. 10. units (mostly empty one) are very "unstable" and seem to not be attached to the ground at round start, thus they wip around trying to balance themselves out. this also can cause minor movement due to sliding and just looks dumb if you start a game with units in front of yourself. Maybe this happens because of the general crappy clipping in OP:FP which should be known and is hopefully getting fixed in one of the upcomming patches. 11. the viewport for the driver in the M113 based vehicles should be lowered while inside of the vehicle. you can barely see the street in front of you without having to go into the zoomed-in view like with shooting through the sights of the rifles. just lower the viewport, so that you can view more horizontal. 12. the vulcan behaves kinda strange while being in water unlike the the other M133 based vehicles. its mass point seems completly off center so that the vehicle is turned more into the water on one side causing a weird look. should be fixed for eyecandy purposes. 13. make the m2a2 bradley and the chinook amphibious. in case of the heli make it be able to land on water but not allow movement. furthermore fix the strange behaviour of helis being able to sink into the water without taking damage and also being able to liftoff again. this is very annoying in multiplayer where a possible target could just hide under water in a heli. In generel it would be very good to tolerate non amphibious vehicles a longer contact with water. even a modern MBT can move under water or at least while being in the water to 90% (so that engine doesn't drown) for a short time. maybe introduce accessable water via seal combat divers or infantry that can at least drop into the water and stay alive for half and minute to switch boats or else. 14. While riding in an vehicle (driver, gunner, ride in back, ...) it would be great to see the passengers turn their head into the position they are currently facing. this could need tweaking of the allowed view arc for each vehicle though (drivers mostly are restricted to a realistic degree but passengers can normally turn around by 360 degree. its just an eyecandy feature but it still could add some atmosphere. 15. make ai to get much more distracted by smoke so you can effectivelly use it against computer. 16. improve the radio system by implementing a more efficient usage. examples are a shorter calling of the squad members like: "all except 2 and 3, move to blablabla". there should also be some sort of hierarchy within the radio to allow quicker response for the immediate surrounding. starting from the bottom and then going upwards seem the most logical way, thus group commands like attack orders, movement orders or smimilar should have prority to generel announcements. However even within squads there should be some sort of priority for orders opposing sightings of enemies or general statements like injuries, fuel status or else. 17. Wwith the last point i want to address the buggy clipping/bouncing stuff of units and their surrounding again. its simply a must to fix this stuff. as light vehicles that fly a at least 50 meter vertical into the air (hummer) when being shot by a sabot round, helicopters that bounce through forrests in which they crashed, vehicles of several tons weight that dance when fired upon with 5.56mm bullets, and tanks that tend to crawl hills up with speed that is below an trabant or on the other hand roll down mountains faster than a formula one car ever would. I hope this are plenty of useful and also considerable hints for you BIS...great game so far, but please make it better.

    Wasn't the CG a Ranger only AT weapon anyways? AFAIK standard army troopers used different weapons and the CG was used for Ranger units/Spec Ops due to its varrying and thus flexible ammunition. correct me if im wrong..

    There will be 2 VBS-based simulators afaik. one for marines and one for aussie-army.

    interesting for me would be the full loadout of the equiptment on the soldiers. (how many clips and stuff) With this data I could change the soldiers loadout much better via code in the editor..dunno if this data can already been gained through some tutorials or scripting reference materials...if yes some speficication would be appreciated though.

    What about just releasing another official weaponspack with Famas, G3, SA-80, MG3, Minimi, Uzi, Mp-5 Navy, PSG-1 and maybe some military shotguns...sorted. I doubt most of you won't still be satisfied

    yes..in the game. but we are talking about it being included in the campaign that plays around 1985. If we would rant about G36 being in game, we would have to rant about 1/3 of the weapons and units as well..

    ....or spanish from the future hehe, aren't there even talks about G36 becoming the next US standard rifle somewhat in the near future, replacing the M16A2? I heared some rumours about that if I recall correctly. One thing that really pleases me is that it starts to replace the M4 in movies already. First one was "Exit Wounds", followed by "Tomb Raider" and "Password:Swordfish". Let's see what will replace the MP5 in the same way...Maybe the UMP?

    I agree on the stupidity to at least add the G36 in the campaign, however, the AUG was available in the mid-eighties. In fact it even dated to the late seventies. Dunno about it being used by US forces though. Afaik only Coast Guard, some law enforcement agencies and maybe Spec Ops used it.

    When i just played around with the editor and tried to create some sort of battlefield action with both russians and nato meeting with strong forces at a designated point, it happened that sometimes they shot themselves into pieces but then again it also happened very often that some tanks, even when moving beside each other didn't shoot the other. sometimes they at least pointed the turrets at each other but mostly they just ignored the enemy. Mostly this happened when one side flew the battlefield, regrouped and then tried another attack.

    The russians are perfectly suited with helis in the game. Only thing that in fact could be funny to have in is a standard version of the MI-17 without that barrage missiles. Maybe equipt it with a side mounted mg or something. If done that way, simply move the gunner out of the cockpit to a window position. Sorted. That way the russians would also get a "normal" heli for troop insertion and stuff. Furthermore, mappers could create more fair mp missions when only wanting to use light helis like the UH-60 with mg.

    Just give them some time. BIS will eventually learn a lot about realism with that VBS1 stuff.. The Marines want definetly to have a training simulator that is as real as possible, thus the physics will be changed for that purpose. Maybe the one or other tweak will find its way too OP:FP as well. Only problem i see is that regardless of what BIS changes, the overall balance, especially in the official campaigns can not be changed a lot, unless you tweak some corresponding missions. Still "I" am for any tweak we could get to make things more enjoyable...realism makes up a huge part of this for me

    Adding a Co-Pilot and 2nd Door Gunner to Blackhawk

    The discussion about adding a co-pilot or to increase the crew of any other unit is pointless.. Have you ever considered that all missions, using these units as parts of a squad could be screwed if the maximum unit limit per squad has been exceeded? I mean, IF you add a loader to the m1a1 crew you could only get a maximum of 3 tanks in one squad and not 4 like it is right now. Same goes for Blackhawks or any other unit, thus it is pointless to discuss about this. Sure it would be great to have all these new features but it simply won't work out. The only thing that in fact could work is to recompile the models with additional seats which COULD be used by additional models. This idea could include to add a spare seat in the m1a1 for one additional unit. When you spawn a tank in the editor this seat would not be manned but COULD be used by an external unit later on. Even if this wouldn't serve any particular advantage for the tank, this unit could take over either gunner or commander place in case any of them dies in combat or at least the seat could be used to allow one crew member of a shot-down tank to seek shelter. Similar things could be done to the blackhawk (allowing one more transporting unit to sit on the co-pilot seat. this should be the last unit to enter the heli though, as it would look dumb to have the first tranported unit take place in the front, thus it should also be a seperate seat like "get in xyz as co-pilot" and not "ride in back" or any other unit...     A propos, helis and water.. Isn't it true that a CH-47 (chinook) can somewhat land on water or at least won't sink as long as the rotors keep it somewhat up? I've seen several pictures where chinooks performed such maneuvers but its hard to tell if the rotors are rotating or not. Ohh..and the M2A2 is kinda amphibious as well right? Too bad it sinks like a stone in opfp.

    It is simply not true, that new boats are not needed. Naval warfare would be amazing, especially with patrol boats and landing crafts. If there ever will be a map with some sort of rivers, patrol boats would be one of the funniest thing ever.

    another reason is availability....I still don't understand how they could add a G36A.... I'd rather seen a G3 which at least was invented in '85
