agreed, shouldn't take too long, right?

Don't forget the RPO.

Well regarding cars, I'd prefer a "made in germany" over a "made in america" anytime. ;) That HTTV sure looks like a good cross country vehicle, but as it will be used in terms of recon or fast attack, meaning that it's often on it's one, makes a G-Wagen a better vehicle, I'd say, as it is more flexible. You could carry more stuff, more men and even heavier mounted weapons. The Marines adapted a number of G-Wagons already, and afaik they performed very well, not only because they could be stowed in CH-53. I have only experience from the time in the German army, but it really is a great vehicle there and beside the weasel weapons carrier the only mobility the airborne forces really need - not mentioning all other branches where it is used. While I'd name the HTTV a light and the HMMWV a heavy vehicle, the G-Wagen fits exactly in the middle of the two as a medium car, but with enough potential to perform good on both the areas of use the HTTV and HMMWV are used in.Â

Looking good, but I'd still prefer the Wolf (G-Wagon) as fast attack vehicle.

speaking of sound: will the .50cal sound be the same as the one used with the Kiowa? I really don't like that sound and would like it to be replaced in an upcoming version (if there ever will be one). In general, will some of the BAS sounds get reworked, or are you happy with all of them? I mean, the minigun sound used on the Little Birds eventually had been replaced with the sound used on the Chinook, which really sounds a lot better. Personally, the weapons sounds were the major problem I had with BAS stuff ever since. The eyecandy is superb, just many weapon sounds are weird. Perhaps I'm just biased due to all those Hollywood movies, but I want a weapon to sound "well" in the first place, with it being true to the original coming second.

I expected something....well, better. Guess we have to wait the BAS's island or the next Afghanistan release to get some proper new island, that doesn't look like something already released for a year now.

Maybe you could work get that animation from Tales of War once they have released their AA7V, as proper loadouts should really be implemented. It would be great to transport a full infantry company with only 6 Urals like it is normally done. With the current OFP Ural's you need twice the number. I would really really appreciate if you could work something out there. Please!
-
And what about the transport capacity of the Ural? Has it been increased, and if yes, to what number?
-
That Ural looks very promising. Will it include an increased load capacity, so that you could really transport a single infantry platoon with 2 trucks, meaning that there are around twice the number of seats than with the ofp default? It would really be great, just like Tales of War is doing with their Marines AA7V, which was limited to only a dozen or so soldiers due to legs clipping into each other but what they fixed for the next version with a new sitting animation to be used. I'd really love to have a proper Ural with realistic transport capacity. Furthermore another version without the white cover (but still with the metallic grid, like with that burned out BIS model) would be great. Are you planning to release a soviet version along with the CSLA one? The truck looks very promising, even though it's just a modified BIS model. Thumps up!

I just found out that the already released version of the Mi-2 for the Nogova police (by airwolf) is not mulitplayer compatible as it will create the following error on dedicated servers: "Invalid texture aspect ratio (512x32)". Is this issue known and will it be resolved for the final Mi-2 pack which includes this Nogova police variant?

Oh and while I was searching, I found the best recon vehicle that will EVER cruise this planet: Tataaa...
-
I take it you don't mean this one, right? Véhicule Blindé Léger (VBL)

If you are still looking for sources, this is all you will need: FM 100-60 - ARMOR- AND MECHANIZED-BASED OPPOSING FORCE: ORGANIZATION GUIDE, 16 JUL 1997 FM 100-61 - ARMOR- AND MECHANIZED-BASED OPPOSING FORCE OPERATIONAL ART, 26 JAN 1998 FM 100-63 - INFANTRY-BASED OPPOSING FORCE ORGANIZATION GUIDE, 18 APR 1996 The links might be down from time to time due to the nature of army.mil, though.

Yeah, I always wanted a well made RPO. With some scripting I bet someone could get some nice eyecandy for this thing working. It might not have been the best weapon, but alone from the fact that it was quite common, should convince some addon makers to create one for us. Perhaps a nice addition for the RSS weapons pack? *hint*

The way it's done in Mafia actually is pretty fine, even though not completely realistic. Make it like that, and it'd be alright.
-
Ah who cares about prototypes? The V80 in OFP was an prototype, too, in the campaign, still BIS included it.
-
I know, but it is for FDF troops and furthermore you can't simply include it in a mission, because everyone has to download the full 200mb FDF mod in beforehand. What i meant, was a version with soviet camo as seperate download.
-
Or a Mi17 without missile racks (for soviets), or an open-toped Ural.
-
I also had several crashes with the hummers. Well, my flashpoint.rpt only says something about an , encountered instead of ; with ags industrial pack, but not with the hummers. Strange thing though, cuz i just made a plain mission with only the hummers in it for a quick test. *shrug*
-
I don't want any NATOMOD. I want just the hummers, nothing more. Just use plain West soldiers and release the pack asap, please.

Instead of the console edition they should have released another extension with all the improvements for the pc edition. Or at least give us pc'lers the same fixes via patch. Afterall we were those little monkeys you abused and tested all the stuff on. At least give us the fixes we asked for for years and don't let us wait another year or two for OFP2.
-
Nice addon, but for the sake of realism, please change the following: When I fly a plane, I add some more pilots to act as crew members and have them ride in back. The problem is here that with the parachute script that bails all passengers out on command, my crew will eject as well. Please rework the parachute script, so that my crew isn't bailing out with the rest, when I trigger the command. Isn't there any way to seperate between crew and passengers via a script or seat management? Or maybe make it so, that when you give the order to "Group Jump", all squads except for the squad of the player that is pilot will bail out. There for sure has to be some possibility as for example, you are only able to command "Group Jump" if you have more than two passengers riding in back. Another thing I find most annoying is the altitude alert, which continuely beeps if you are flying very low. At least give the option to disable the accustic signal.
-
Sooooo, are we gonna get a new patch to fix this serious issue? I think you owe us one, BIS. P.S. If there will be a fix, please include some other fixes as well. You should know by now, what those fixes could be good for.

Is there a known bug with Audigy2 and OFP that causes the central speaker to not receive any signal? I have just upgraded from my SBlive to an A2 and all of a sudden, I have to play with 4 speaker settings so that no sound is lost. I ran the diagnostic software and tested other games and the 5.1 surround works perfectly there, just not in OFP. Did I miss something?

Sounds promising, yes!
