Anyway, enough is enough. I retire myself from the ofp forums, and from the game, not that it really matters in the scheme of things. I apologize to bis if I was over critical of their product. This has nothing to do with ofp, and I'm not making some idiotic protest. Just tired of ofp. Goodbye to all you forum goers, mappers, modders, flamers, and whoever else.

Who would release the modeling and editing tools for a game when there are people who will buy addons. As long as you are willing to buy addons from BIS, dont complain about them not releasing the editing tools. I didnt buy red hammer, and I wont be buying independance lost or resistance. Nor will I purchase any other bohemia interactive studios software. BIS has lost their credibility in the online gaming community. The only thing keeping this boat from sinking is the editing community which was recently knee-capped by the fact oxygen wont be released. Sorry to all you would be mod-makers, perhaps its a good thing however. Don't waste your time or creative ability on this engine.

Have you seen the state of ofp multi-player lately... I dont think you guys have to worry too much about who plays the villain. I dont play online at all anymore, and by looking at gamespy, I'm not the only one.

What are you calling me a liar man? I told you this post is the first time I've heard about these ammo hacks for ofp. This post right here to be exact. The same thing happens with every game. 1 a cheat is created and the creator circulates it to close friends. 2 the cheat spreads through game hack forums and clans although it is still relatively unknown to the mainstream gamer. 3 the cheat is found by a certain person, and said person, feeling like they are doing something positive, spams every single forum they can find talking about a new cheat and how it must be stopped. 4 Mainstream gamer Joe smith reads the post and immediately goes to his search engine and finds the new cheat and uses it. THAT is how it works. Tell me that isnt how it works, please.

I dont actively search for ofp cheats. The first place I heard about these trainers is this post right here. So I for one now know they exist. I'm sure there are others who read posts like this and go and directly download and use the trainers, youve got one guy in this post alone who is asking for the trainers and you're offering to email them. What possible benefit would that have to OFP developers. You need to learn to keep quiet and go to the developers directly.

I am not opposed to operation flashpoint. I am a fan of operation flashpoint myself. Let me clarify that. I respect your authority in these forums and I thank you for allowing me to make my point. My point has been made. It is now in the hands of BI to see whether or not they wish to market a game on such a volatile conflict which is bound to offend alot of people. I have stated my opposition to it and I wont take it any further. If it comes out so be it. There are however others who may be extremely offended by it, especially in indonesia. This Operation flashpoint addon based in East timor is going to offend alot of people. Both in Australia, East timor, and indonesia. Red Hammer was based in a fictional setting, why now do we suddenly have a addon based in East timor of all places. If you live in the region and witnessed the stuff how are you going to be able to enjoy a game based on it? Its the equivalent to basing a game on the world trade center bombing. BIS needs to stick to fictional conflicts on fictional islands. This is not off topic btw. It is talking about operation flashpoint, and its new addon Independance Lost. It is in no way off topic.

Not only is the conflict still fresh in the hearts and minds of many people, it is a source of division between Australia and Indonesia. People were massacred in east timor and us Australians got to witness alot of it on the news. Alot of terror and alot of senseless death. Creating a game based on a fictional event, or even an event of history such as vietnam is one thing. However, creating a game based on a conflict which is still volatile and still fresh in the hearts and minds of the people in that region is a complete and utter slap in the face to anyone who served in east timor, or suffered from the conflict. The massacre of the east timorese independance voters was a very real, very senseless atrocity that occured very recently. How DARE you make it into a computer game.
