Thanks but which ports must be opened?I already checked another themes and it dont helped me much because most of them had game on Steam and it was the problem
And yes ofcrs i have same version...
Firewall issues
By default the Armed Assault/ArmA 2/ArmA2:OA server is reporting to Gamespy and it also uses the Gamespy server to negotiate a NAT traversal. If this does not work reliably for you (e.g. when running behind very strict firewall), you may need to open and/or forward following incoming ports:
port UDP (used for game)
port+1 UDP (used for server reporting)
port+3 UDP (used for VoN transmissions)
Following outgoing ports need to be open as well:
port UDP (used for game)
port+3 UDP (used for VoN transmissions)
Default value of port is 2302, but you may change it by -port command line argument.

Seems to be some Router/Firewall that prevent for ICMP ping. Make sure you have enable your ICMP in your Router/Firewall.
EDIT... i also have some of those ? mark on some server, but i also got ping from other, so some servers have ICMP block so that's why you sometime see ?, but the hole MP Browser list with ? seems to be your router/firewall.

OK.So, only 3 people experience this problem (well, 3 people, who are active in this forum at least).
So, either users aren't bothering with OS boot camp (probably because it's basically the same as Arma II but with different terrain); or only 3 people have settings/driver issues that prevent the spacebar from performing the function it is supposed to in the boot camp scenarios.
If the latter, I guess it's not worth looking into.

Hi.
Try to make a new player profile in arma, then restart and make sure the new player profile is active. Then try do the boot camp from beginning.
Just an idea :)

i dont know...fucking forum°!!!...since one week iam waiting 4 an answer. nobody replys...i hate this buggy game.!!!! fucking noob publishers and a fucking forum...!!! i bought this stupid game for 30 euro and nothing works. always ctd or i cant join my friends server...so much money 4 nothin´!!!->DONT BUY ARMA II & ARMA II:Operation Arrowhead<-!!!
Well... i could be some hardware problems too. But make sure you have the newest driver for Audio, DirectX, Graphic card, all windows updates, most important your HK drivers.
http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.asp?Model=K10N78M%20Pro&o=Win764
And turn off your Integrated NVIDIA® GeForce 8200 graphics in your BIOS since i see you are running ATI HD5750.
Install the NVIDIA all in 1 driver package ver: 15.45 and make sure you don't install GPU drivers, because they are for your Integrated NVIDIA® GeForce 8200.
And install Realtek high definition audio driver ver:R2.31

Turn off kaspersky/delete kaspersky and try again

How about a solution before considering this one...Did you launch ArmA 2: Combined Operations via your steam client?
Open up your steam client and right click on ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead then select "Launch ARMA 2: Combined Operation"
When you do that, the startup will start "_runA2CO.cmd" located in your ArmA2OA install folder, that file search in your registry for install path for your ArmA 2 and Arma 2 OA, when it's done the game start.
You have a retail DVD version of Arma 2 right? So where is arma2 installed, full path please and i need to know your full path for ArmA2 OA too.

Updated to 1.2.7
It now checks for duplicate paths rather than duplicate names, so you can have 2 addons with the same folder name, as long as they are in different locations. eg. ACE for ArmA 2 and ACE for OA
Also, now when hovering over an addon in the "Available Addons" list, you can see its full path, so you know which version you're working with.
Thanks for this update SpiritedMachine :)
Have a nice trip SpiritedMachine and safe driving :)

I agree fully. Technically they aren't out anything. We've actually paid more for the two separate games than the CO package. That would also alleviate ALL the problems of hosting Steam version servers and version conflicts.+1 :)

Steam Version of Arma II OAwindows 7 32 bit
4GB Ram
i7 860
GTX 260
Arrives at the menu for Arma 2 OA - and then crashes. Any ideas?
I have tried the various settings for the video card. I have downloaded the latest drivers. Both approved and Beta. I have verified cache, and deleted and re-verified cache and not change.
The problem happens for Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA both.

it's because of the STEAM copy protection ...also STEAM direct launch via
steam.exe -applaunch 33930
is needed to enabled STEAMoverlay injection
Hi Dwarden.
For Steam users.
If you start your ArmA2 directly from the install folder not use steam.
i.e g:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\arma2.exe
The game start without Steam Overlay.
But if you start OA
i.e. g:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe
The Steam Overlay start.
So can this be fix with a new ArmA2 patch/fixed exe so we can start arma2.exe with Steam Overlay. Because this cause some problems with some ArmA2 start up launchers.
99% of all ArmA2 launchers that has been made use full install folder i.e g:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\arma2.exe BUT there is no Steam Overlay in arma2.exe, only if you use Steam Client or the shortcut made by Steam Client(the shortcut start ArmA2 with this: steam://rungameid/33910)

Hm, what should I say other than that I have to wait like anybody else that BIS fixes the issue :)Xeno
+1 me too.. I want to play your maps in OA
-
Maybe it is better to run an older FRAPS version. I don't know if that solve this issue, but just an idea.
-
Sometimes when I play the game crash and i got the message that the nvidia drivers(latest) stop responding and that they were restored by the system.I have to start the game again so I can play, why is that?
Try to install a older version from nVIDIA: v.197.45 WHQL

No, I can't figure that out either. It's not something that I am doing. I even asked about this yesterday in a forum post here.Hi.
Well i made a workaround :)

i made a Windows Command Script file
unpack it and copy the file _runA2.cmd into your ArmA2 install folder and point your ArmA II Executable location to _runA2.cmd as in the image :)
Download here(updated):
EDIT:
Maybe you can make a new ArmA II Executable location for steam?
-
@SpiritedMachine
Thanks :) Is it anyway u can add some functions to make us steam user to have the Steam overlay?
EDIT:
The steam overlay only work if i select ArmA II - OA or ArmA II - CO
But the steam overlay don't work if i start the game with ArmA II.
Any idea why?

Jman;1675347']His name is Anthrax not antrax and he was banned from all our public servers this evening. He is definately an intentional TKer who obviously has some low self asteam issues.Lets not boost his ego by giving him any more airtime.
@Infam0us
If you really want his UID I will give it to you but only via PM not forum post.
PM sent :)

So I cleaned my system and went back to V.21 and anisotropic filtering now works correctly "in-game"- nice!An interesting thing I've found out however. With all these images I've found when you override the application setting and set them in NVdia - the game looks a lot better because it's filtering all the way into infinity (with texture clamp). Whereas the A2OA's in-game Anistropic filtering only goes about 40 yards ahead then stops and you see a distinct line where it ends... goes from sharp textures to blurry ones.
I've written up a lengthy bug report for NVidia asking them to not release their beta as WHQL until they figure out what they broke. Probably affects others games too. But most people are as nit-picky as me.
Hey, thanks for the clamp idea, i forgot that one... i use it on other games via nHancer :)
-
No problems to start the beta patch here, i use _runA2CO_beta.cmd file from Dwarden :)
-
And those were only altered through in-game settings? What kind of video card do you have?I'm uninstalling the betas and going to last WHQL as we speak.
Look at my signature and click on "Show Spoiler" to see my ingame settings :)
EDIT:
And here is my settings from nVIDIA Control Panel

Simple click on the "Restore" button and then apply it will set the global settings to default, i always use default settings in nVIDIA Control Panel.

Try older nVIDIA drivers :) , 197.45 is a good choose ;)
-
And no "Ammo box" fix ???
-
This means i need the following ports to be forwarded at:- 2302
- 2303
- 2305
But, I already opened the port range 2300 - 2500. Yes, to my IP address. And in my router (Netgear RP614v2) i can't differentiate between outgoing/incoming connections. If I open a port, its open, for both, incoming/outgoing.
But thanks for the ports, i'll give em a try by deleting the port range 2300-2500 and creating just 2302, 2303 and 2305.
And try to disable or enable uPNP in your router if you have that options :)
EDIT:
Here is a nice site that tells you what ports needs to be open on different games for your router.
