    I don't think Warning: looped for animation: has anything to do with your problem.

    The warning message are still there even if you don't play any mission.

    Simple test is to delete your RPT file and start OA and exit game. Then take a look at your rpt file, u will see the warning message.

    I suggest you to try the same nVIDIA drivers that i use v.197.45 x64bit WHQL

    And install the newest DirectX from Microsoft:

  2. Ok. So you only start ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead and you have the latest official update?

    Version 1.52.71612(steam version) other official update has version 1.52.718XX.

    I know sometimes you joining a server and it start download the mission, it stops in the beginning, just give it some seconds and it will start download.

    If not, i could be some problems with your router/firewall or Antivirus that prevent you for download. Not sure, i can't remember i had this problem before with Operation Arrowhead, only with ArmA2.

    It could also be a server problem, have you tried other servers?


  3. Maybe they share a distributor? Either way I didn't use the steam client, I used the gamersgate client, I know of noway to get it from steam without buying it a second time.

    So errors aside I finally got OA installed, just need to test it now.

    Yeah maybe, but i never heard about that before :S

    I could also be the patch detection system that cannot detect exactly what type of version you have. But you may talk to Gamersgate and ask why they don't update ArmA2 to a newer version or maybe BIS has forgot to tell Gamersgate about new versions.

  4. Hi. Question.

    I am using the beta dedi for OA and well since I am used to using server tools for running servers, I have a question.

    I have set up my server cfg and arma cfg within a folder inside the beta. and the profile somewhere else. getting it to load and show in the lobby, but when I join I get the all annoying "waiting for host" and the mission screen is not loading.

    When I look at the server "console" it has me connected.

    I have added the default mission list to the cfg file (OA mission list)

    What am I doing wrong? Nothing else has been touched. Well copied the dta folder to the beta dta folder, but thats it.

    I might be as dumb as a wet sock, but atleast I am not afraid to ask :)

    You are running the latest beta patch on your server and on your game PC to?

    I also running a OA beta test server and i have simple just copied all the files inside \arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\ into correct place \arma 2 operation arrowhead\ and overwrite all files.

    So when i start my server i don't need to play around with beta mod etc etc,, just start it as a normal server.


  5. I bought it with Gamersgate I cant download it from Steam. Theyre two completely different stores.

    Yes. But in your first post:

    Error found in file ADDONS\anims.pbo (0000000!=0000001)

    I have already tried redownloading/reinstalling, same error.

    Please be patient. This update may appear to take a long time to complete. It is updating and installing very large data.

    Reinstalled, repatched with 1.04, some different errors thought this time it seems to actually be willing to complete. As for whether the game will work, dunno.

    Hmmm i didn't now that Gamersgate has any connection with STEAM. Has Gamersgate a client like Steam? If you have Steam i suggest you to download ArmA2 via your Steam Client. The ArmA2 steam version is 1.07.

    Sorry if i'm wrong here, but i thought Steam was the only one that sells steam versions.


  7. Hey coolfire, I did all that and it still does not work. I even went into steam verified integrity of the game and defragmented the cache files. It pops up that black dos looking screen, and does nothing. It scrolls through running everything and just sits, doesn't load.

    Maybe their is something else I missed. And Im sorry for the bold text, and do appreciate your help. Thank you

    Hi.

    If it stop at the black dos window is because your probably have forgot to start ArmA2: Operation Arrowhead after you have run verified integrity. It is very important to run the game after your have run verified integrity. It will make some change in your registry for OA that _runA2CO.cmd required.

    After you have started OA (normal startup, no _runA2CO.cmd) then you can try CoolFire's description.


  8. Small bump regarding driver issues:

    I've tried all of these versions so far with OA:

    -197.45 WHQL

    -257.21 WHQL

    -258.69 Beta

    -258.96 (Beta and WHQL)

    And all of them give me driver crashes. Did not occur with ArmA2 prior to OA, and does not occur in any other game. It is also reproducible in that I will *always* get a driver crash in OA, though the amount of time it takes varies.

    Have you tried to not overclock your system, set everything back to default and see if your ArmA2 still give you driver crash?

  10. Hi.

    You may need to portforward those ports to your local server IP. But some routers/firewall wont let you see your own server in same home network. Try to connect your server via your local server ip from your game computer. You should ask some friends to test and see if they can see your server online/puplic. I think then you need to change following line in your server.cfg:

    reportingIP = arma2pc.master.gamespy.com";

    You should also try another server port ;)

  12. You didn't understand my question.

    I can run Arma 2 or Arma:OA with forced V-sync off without problems.

    I am asking, how I can run Arma Combined Operations without V-sync. Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have Steam version. Arma 2 and Arma:OA are in seperate folders. And I can't add _runA2CO.cmd to ATT profile.

    Still looking for sugestions.

    ArmA2: Combined Operations has nothing todo with arma2.exe. So i'm sure you only need to make a profile in ATT for ArmA2OA.exe. You can even delete or rename arma2.exe and still start the game in Combined Operations :) Have just tested to delete my arma2.exe and no problem to start Combined Operations. So i'm sure you can make an ATT profile for just ArmA2OA.exe.

    The latest cmd file start your ArmA2 CO with this startup:

    "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca"

    -applaunch 33930 is your ArmA2:Operation Arrowhead points to your ArmA2OA.exe

    Yes.. it was a steam update for some days ago.. and YES.. if screw up your _runA2CO.cmd. Therefor it's a good idea to make a backup of it and name it whatever you want, and use that one to startup ArmA2:CO ;)

    EDIT: Jeg har gått på samme smell opptil flere ganger pga Steam update, den sier jo ikke ifra om det er ny update, derfor har jeg laget egen _runA2CO.cmd ;)

  14. The 25m zone for anti TK script is all very good but is causing all manner of problems defending the base.

    Ai are overunning the spawn and we cant kill them, but they can kill us!

    Any chance of removing it? or atleast a param?

  15. Switching back and forth between Chernarus/Utes and Takistan/Desert/Zargabad i can see the new trees made it far worse on performance. With my new system i play ARMA2's islands superbly and i can look at a huge forest without losing many FPS, but in Takistan looking at 6 trees with some bushes and grass my FPS dives big time.

    BIS saying vegetation in OA being heavily optimized over ARMA2 im hoping that will come soon as it will be a very expensive trip having to upgrade again for OA.

    With my new system i tried today to fly over Chernarus with the same settings as in Takistan and the difference is huge. Especially when zooming into areas with vegetation. The green areas of Takistan kills my PC completelly. Also PPE has to be switched off in OA compared to ARMA2 where i could have vhigh. Even low (to get shine and effects) takes too much power in certain situations (veggies again) so i have to shut it off completely and miss out on the nice effects.

    Just an indicator how things work at this time in OA with my system. All defragged and tweaked til it bleeds. Been doing this for years after all. :) Hopefully patches come soon that fixes the vegetation in OA because as i see it at this time they are much less optimized compared to ARMA2's veggies.

    Hi.

    Try to add -exThreads=5 to your startup parameters for OA.

    For me it makes different from default -exThreads=7(that are default in OA)
