  1. Turn off your router firewall and restart router, then try to connect a server

And also make sure you have portforward/NAT the right ports, UDP or TCP to your local IP.

Some routers also need firewall rules if you have port forward/NAT.

    Firewall issues

By default the Armed Assault server is reporting to Gamespy and it also uses the Gamespy server to negotiate a NAT traversal. If this does not work reliably for you (e.g. when running behind very strict firewall), you may need to open and/or forward following incoming ports:

    port UDP (used for game)

port+1 UDP (used for server reporting)

port+3 UDP (used for VoN transmissions)

Following outgoing ports need to be open as well:

    port UDP (used for game)

port+3 UDP (used for VoN transmissions)

Default value of port is 2302, but you may change it by -port command line argument.

    ==============

After "continue" i have no addons on my addons list.

I have no Operation Arrowhead, only clean Arma2.

    Hi

I'm sure u need to reinstall your Microsoft .NET Framework or install the newest one from Microsoft.

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en

And you have more versions at the bottom page too.

  3. I took a copy of the _runA2CO.cmd and renamed it to _runA2CO_sthud.cmd. Then I edited it like this:

    :run

    "%_ARMA2OAPATH%\ARMA2OA.exe" "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;%_ARMA2OAPATH%\EXPANSION;ca;%_ARMA2PATH%\@CBA;%_ARMA2PATH%\@sthud" %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9

    ENDLOCAL

In this way it will load your addons from your ArmA2 folder so you don't have to copy/paste the addons into the OA folder.

There may be other ways of doing do it, but this works for me anyway launching A2CO using this _sthud batch file. :)

    Thank you very much ;)

  4. Hi Dwarden.

And thanks for the new _runA2CO.cmd :)

It seems to work now when i startup the game via steam "Launch ArmA2: Combined Operation" and mods work pretty well too. Well if i add mods in the run parameters it only start mod if they are in the ArmA2:OA folder. So i have to copy my mods from ArmA2 folder over to ArmA2:OA folder, then they work :)

    Like this:

    :run

    "%_ARMA2OAPATH%\ARMA2OA.exe" "-nosplash" "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;%_ARMA2OAPATH%\EXPANSION;ca;@CBA;@sthud" %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9

    ENDLOCAL

The @CBA and @sthud had to be in the ArmA2:OA folder to start.

But that is OK for me to copy mod folders from ArmA2 to ArmA2:OA

But is it any other way to fix that? :)

    Thanks

  5. Still problems with the ammo shit box at base.

Hang up and Battleye disconnect the client, tested without Battleye too, same problem.

Steam offers gamers in-game downloadable content.

Steam offers gamers in-game downloadable content

    Press Releases - Valve

    17 Mar 2009

March 16, 2009 — Valve, creators of best-selling entertainment products and advanced technologies, today announced the arrival of in-game downloadable content to Steam, their massively popular PC gaming platform. In-game DLC allows developers and publishers to use their own games as a platform for selling additional content to gamers.

The first game to take advantage of this new in-game DLC capability is The Maw, by Twisted Pixel Games. Their first DLC releases are levels entitled The Maw: Brute Force and The Maw: River Redirect. Each DLC level expands The Maw storyline by fitting in-between the original levels as "deleted scenes."

Twisted Pixel CEO, Michael Wilford, says "We're happy that we can now offer Steam customers significant expansions to the Maw story, delivering more Maw directly to gamers while they're still playing the game."

DLC can now be added to any game on Steam, regardless of whether it was originally purchased via Steam, at retail, or via other digital outlets. It is also a feature of Steamworks, the suite of free tools and services available to game developers and publishers.

  7. Can i copy my EXPANSION folder from OA over to ArmA2 folder and run arma2.exe with -mod=EXPANSION

    EDIT:

    HELL YEAH... it works :p

Copy the whole EXPANSION folder from OA over to ArmA2 and deleted BattlEye, dta, keys and ijl15.dll from EXPANSION folder and i renamed my EXPANSION folder to @OA_EXPANSION and added it on my -mod (like this: -mod=@OA_EXPANSION

My arma2 started as it was OA, same menu etc etc..

  8. From readme_OA.txt file:

Merged Version ARMA 2 + ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD

    ---------------------------------------------------

It is possible to merge ARMA 2 content with ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD. In order to do this:

    * make sure to install ARMA 2 first

    * ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD should find your ARMA 2 folder automatically during setup (if you want to install ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD as stan alone product, select different folder)

    * ARMA 2 version 1.06 or higher is required, ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD will update it during setup automatically if necessary
