viewdistance and other dissapointments
Master gamawa replied to arma2disapointed's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Last night I decided to do the ol' dogfight thing. Got my rock and roll on, my aviator glasses , chewing gum and got into a jet. And right then I realized that units not appearing until you are closer than 2000m makes no damn sense! I got into the action but as soon as the enemy units got some speed POOF, they were gone right in front of me eyes. I wouldn't mind this being fixed like... you know.. soon! I can wait. :) -
This game made me violently sick. Might persue legal action.
Master gamawa replied to bigtime102's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Yo tell them to threaten legal action if they don't release the patch ASAP THAT'LL SHOW EM! Also blame them for everything in the world. Cancer, Aids and War. And Death. SUE EVERYBODY FOR EVER! -
Runways non-paved or just a bug?

One airport on the southwest is abandoned and overgrown. The other on the north west is fine. -
Hire military people to do your voice acting.

Go away you schemey weirdo? i dont know what schemey means -
I would be impressed because of the technical detail and devotion to realism the dev team showed. I would express it like so: "My god look at all this effort to make blood and guts look real in a game that most encounters are around 200m range isn't that great? OK how do I turn this off?" Impressed yeah. For the wrong reasons? yeah!

Dude you know what? I don't like talking to you! :) You scare me and shit. HOW BOUT THEM ENTRAILS? That's not a good color for a spleen it needs some cyan and a bit of texture! Ok joking aside my "favorite" blood spray was the one in Operation Flashpoint. Just a small misty thing and that's all. I don't need more. And I don't think the game can manage a new "Blood pressure gushing" function. Machine guns would kill your frame rate! And I won't even go into the details of clothes soaking up blood and whatnot. Some realism aspects are not going to make the game better.
-
I think you are trolling and I find it very funny but this is the internet and I never really know. So in case you are serious about blood gushing out after the spray (you sick bastard :) ) I advice you to search for videos of real bullet injuries. No, in fact I would say keep away from such videos but you seem so happy with BLOOD GUSHING OUT LOL that I just feel like bursting your bubble! You will thank me one day!

I will only tell your my name, rank and serial number!!??? o.O
Master gamawa replied to MulleDK19's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
it would be OPERATION FLASHPOINT AWESOME! Seriously the escape from prison in OpF was on of the best experiences I had in a game. Trying to read the stars and escape the chopper... running in complete darkness. Good times. -
Well then it may be hard for you to believe but a lot of us are happy just playing the damn game even if it ends up in our team losing. I think that a good game doesn't need to reward anyone with gimmicky ranks and points. This reward thing is an "arcade residue". Do you remember back in the 80s when games were shitty and you needed to have score boards to "show the other people that you RULE!" because the game it's self sucked donkey balls and you really had nothing better to do with your life... because you were like 10 years old and you were developing your competitive instincts? Yeah... that.

Well how about that?! Thanks! :) -
Don't be superficial dude. Sometimes love hurts more than a leg. You know? They love each other.

ARMA 2 Adult content
Master gamawa replied to ARGold's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
that's underwear dude. But if you see genitalia let us know k? -
I don't have mouse lag at all. I watched the video and wow! That sucks for you guys! :( My mouse is as precise as possible. The only thing I have noticed is the acceleration effect when I move the mouse fast enough which feels very natural.

White soldiers actually can jump.
Master gamawa replied to blackettle's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
I agree like I've never agreed before. Make it speed bound. Walking towards a fence and pressing the step over key should remaind as it is. Running towards a fence and pressing step over should result in a "tumble over the obstacle" animation and landing on the other side. It would be cool for finding cover too.. like you know "OH shit a machine gun nest" and then you run back, tumble over a low wall and keep your head down. -
EVERY player? Really?

White soldiers actually can jump.
Master gamawa replied to blackettle's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Ok usually Arma soldiers hold a big gun with both hands and carry a backpack full of heavy shit. That would make jumping over something kind of dangerous. I wouldn't mind it though if there was a way to limit jumps to one every few steps (to avoid bunny hopping) and if it made you tired if you overused it. -
In editor, how to place someone into a house rather than standing on the roof?
Master gamawa replied to Pundaria's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Or you can give him a move waypoint in the house and pick the position from the drop down list. You have to test to see where each position is in the house but it works. Usually position #1 is near the entrance and higher numbers are further/higher in the building! -
I can't because you are the king of whiny babies. I am trying to understand your reasoning here. Your masterplan of idiocy: 1. Whine about new patch again and again 2. Annoy the fuck out of mods and users 3. ? 4. Patch release date is magically announced. 5. Cry your self to sleep once again Now, I am trying to guess the third step. Do you think the mods will call up BIS and say "Ok BIS this is Placebo and crew. We got a CODE RED! I REPEAT: CODE RED! You must release the patch NOW! The annoyance levels are critical and we can't take it anymore! HE IS A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER! HE SAYS THERE IS A SCHEDULE! THERE IS ALWAYS A SCHEDULE!" Maybe you think that the patch is ready and the date is known but the evil BIS chairman sits in his villain armchair, stroking a white cat, slowly sipping a cocktail of baby tears and blood when the counselor comes in the office all sweaty and says: "Sir! I think we must publish a date! This has gone far enough!" The evil chairman the laughs and kills the cat with his BARE HANDS and says "No! LET THEM WAIT MORE! I GET A RAGING BONER WHEN THEY WAIT! AHAHAHAHAAAA" Are you like an 8 year old software developer? My god shut up!

I am afraid that will not work my main man... What you have to do is to hold your breath real hard and pout! Don't breath at all. I'll tell you when to stop. Ok? Let's go!

Getting AI to get in a vehicle
Master gamawa replied to Lowe's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
ok have you tried making the leader of the civs a bluefor pilot? I can't think of anything else apart from that maybe civs cannot pilot bluefor planes? Damn I don't know! -
If you had played Operation Flashpoint and Arma you wouldn't complain about the controls. Practice.

Getting AI to get in a vehicle
Master gamawa replied to Lowe's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Ok I am nitpicking here but did you just put a waypoint on the map and then moved it over the plane (as you say) .. or you doubleclicked on the plane and gave it a "get in" waypoint?
