I can't figure this module out. No matter what I place Observation, base, checkpoint, fire base, etc no structures show. Does this thing even work properly? I've seen people talk about it like it works but I can't get anything to show. There will be units there but nothing else. I'm just assuming it doesn't work properly cause the structures may not be in game. Or else I'm just setting it up wrong. -
I see that the new dev build gives an error about the UAV Module not being present. Not sure why that was even in my mission but I got it fixed and will release a new version. Hopefully later this morning. That reminds me, in order to play this mission you'll need to be using the dev version. I don't mind the updates and I like to be able to incorporate additions/changes BIS includes in the updates regardless if sometimes the may break stuff. I believe it's because I'm using the development version. They released a patch that changed the classnames of the OPFOR vehicles. Hopefully they'll release an RC soon that updates it for everyone. If not your gonna have to allow steam to access the developer version in order to play. All my missions will be made using the dev version. I'm a whore for the updates even if they mess a few things up.

New version 1.1 up. I added a heli insert but there is a problem. In order to get the second chopper to land you have to order the group to disembark (4-1). If any one knows how I can order them to dismount via trigger/script please let me know. Is there away to automatically order all units to dismount? I want the same command as pressing 4-1 when units are selected, just done automatically. It seems to be the best way to get the chopper to land and get the units to wait until the chopper lands before hopping out. The ways I tried they jump to their death once the trigger goes off. I've also added a few more enemy units. Besides that just small tweaks

I just released one. It's not too dynamic and very bare bones but I'll improve it and make more as time goes on. I don't know how to make em MP compatible so up until now SP is all I've made.

I just play via the Editor. I'm surprised they didn't set up the SP folder for the alpha. I hope they don't plan on keeping it like this. I haven't looked into it yet so I don't know but I'm assuming it will be available in future builds.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but it only seems to effect this section. I can not get the search to work. Most of the time it says no matches found. I know this is not the case. For example I search UAV and nothing comes up but the I go to the last page of this section and there's a thread called "UAV Command". Same goes for the word backpack, pack, back, etc and there's like 50 threads with those words in the thread or the title. Plus they worked the other day. I cause I used it to find the threads im looking for. Can anyone else confirm this? lol It's making it a bitch to make missions. Ive been away for so long I cant remember half the stuff for a basic mission and search was my hero for the other games. Always found what I needed. Now I know the threads are there, cause I've seen em, but I can't find em. And well searching every thread, ah well, that aint happening :)

You need to "depbo" the file. It needs to be a folder, not a pbo, in order to edit it. Try Eliteness or Pbo Manager. -

I'm having a helluva time getting it to work. I've opened up a ticket at DH https://dev-heaven.net/issues/71213 In the mean time I'm using Pbo Manager. It's nowhere near as easy to use as Eliteness but it does the trick for now. Just be careful if you use it. I tried to depbo and it ended up putting every file on my desk top. What program are you guys using to unpack/pack .pbos? Pboview wont recognize them, eliteness just crashes and the link for this http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?128485-PBO-Manager/page3&highlight=pbo+manager is dead. Not sure why I can't get these to work. Others don't seem to have any problem. I have a feeling the problem is on my end but I figured I'd ask in case there's some new tools that have been released in the 1yr+ I haven't been here. I'm missing another that I tried but I can't seem to remember the name. Edit: well I found a working link for Pbo manager, hopefully that works. I'm still curious to know what you guys are using though. EDIT 2: I'm trying eliteness but it keeps saying I don't have a dePbo file. I DL'd the most recent from DH but I have no idea where the system32 folder is in Windows 7 64. The readme say I can also just place it in a folder with the program but I did that and it still doesn't work. They sure don't make this easy for peeps that aren't familiar with computers. I miss pboview. I'd post this in the eliteness page but I can never find the damn thing. I'm a bit frustrated. All I want to do is pack the folder so I can release a mission. -

Yeah I opened a ticket at DH too. The one thing that I do notice is that even though I dl'd Eliteness 2.95 it says 2.93 when I open it. -

Nothing works. I got everything where it should be but I'm still getting the error "DePbo No file found" :( -

This really is a lot of fun. Damn I can't wait to start making missions. The scuba showcase is fun. Nice to see another dimension to the game. I'll get to finding some bugs and other wrongs soon but in the mean time imma enjoy this some more. Bravo BIS so far you beat my expectations.

Glad to read it wasn't just me. I'm really trying to look at this objectively but it really does seem like a big step up. I'm kinda excited to see what the future holds if it's already this nice.

My team's ai in the infantry showcase mission seems greatly improved. They actually would lay down behind rocks for cover and would mo0ve between cover/concealment very well compared to A2. They still did some dumb things to get killed but that was more due to the ai leader. Probably would been better with me leading. The enemy seems much better as well. Don't get me wrong there was still some dumb stuff done but in general the alpha seems to be a huge improvement over A2. much more so then the ai improvement from A1 to A2
