I watched your topic on your own forums. Just 1 simple thing might do the trick: 1) make sure you let everyone know which missions are going to be played and provide download links for them too. It's less stress for the gameserver and more important: everyone can have a look at the mission before we start playing. That's the most important gain w'll get I guess. Monk. -
Looking forward to some roof-fighting Monk.

Well we play arma every night with 6 guyz and have huge fun. So my advice would be quite the opposite Monk.

So tommorow is on again I presume. Is something done to prevent waiting too long before the missions start ? Like stating here which missions will be played and naming teamleaders who can organize the attacks before we start playing etc etc etc ? Hoping for a good evening filled with playing. Monk. -
Good suggestion, I will try this out too Monk.

Seems like DMarkwick doesn't own a TrackIR device (am I right ?). If you did and tried it you would know Flanders has a very valid request. I agree it would be better if reverted back. Monk.

Great news for us newbees ! I'm rather limited in my time right now so I won't be of much help for coding nor GUI design, sry. I do have a suggestion. It would be very nice if some sort of buddy/friends system could be part of this. Many times I wonder if and where my mates are playing. GL with your design and kudos for being it open-source. Monk.

You just ruined the layout of the forum Larke Nice pics tho.

Thanks for your effort But 1 main thing: next time do NOT make it dependable on other content. Just include it inside your mission. Monk.
-
Or even better: make one yourself, you seem to know what it takes to make a good map .....
-
Why don't we all save ourselves a lot of trouble and effort. Add-ons can ONLY fully depend on basic BIS content. They are never allowed to depend on other content to be automatically available. This will cost us some more HD-space, but thats far less worse then having to gather all parts yourself. So golden rule: no dependencies allowed with non-basic stuff. Monk.

Without any further knowledge of the mod you guyz are running. Would it be possible to allow clients to turn on nametags for teammates ? I'm very sure many players would like to use it. As a choice of course so others can turn it off for themselves. Monk. -
Looking forward to the background story
-
I might make a script for it. Have done so for dod and Red Orchestra so I might as well make it for arma. Will get back on this later. Monk.

Something I noticed. Discussing strategy between teamleaders and among teams takes loads of time. Maybe it's wise to lay out the missions a few days before we start. So all players and teamleaders can read and discuss the strategy. This means we wont loose any time on the evening self, but can do where we came for: shoot bullets Monk. -

Think again pls. Only those who have been teamkilled could (..) make a judgement whether the TK was intentional and thus vote. It's far better to have a forgive script for the victims. If they don't forgive then 1 extra TK is added to the sum of the teamkiller. After 3 teamkills (serverside variable of course) he is automatically banned/kicked or sessionbanned (again serverside variable). All this to prevent that voting against someone has nothing to do with his teamkills of course Monk.

What Skaven said, I cann't imagine someone using IS like that. Keep up the good work nonetheless Monk.

Looking very good, thanks for your hard work Monk. -
Good work, especially since it's serverside. I'm sure serveradmins will notice this addon. Monk.

I find a tweak that help my Arma performance.
Monkwarrior replied to NorthStorm's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
This alt-tabbing will work of course, but it's not a workable solution. I am searching for a way to make sure my arma uses core 1 and the rest of my processes use core 2. This should not be done manually each time, but autmated. Anyone got a soultion for this ? Monk. -
I can almost sense what his next question will be
-
I have a similar system. Do you have to tweak some things to make the second core help the nvidia card (a 7950GTX in my case) or is that automatic behaviour ?
