2 Gigs, No addons. The Patch doesnt seem to sort it out. I tried the beta and no success.

Uhhhm... guess you are right, lol. So, my computer is well equipped with a 8.8k GTX, 6.6 Quadcore, Intel P35. It's not a hardware issue. But since I've installed windows again some days ago it is a problem with ArmA. Some months ago, when I played it last, everything ran smoothly. I'm working on MS Services. I disabled some. Maybe thats the problem.

Can you please reference a movie in which I can see how a vehicle is shaken like that? (In ArmA) Can't remember having experienced something similar.

That's indeed a very good point! (Yet I have to say that I'm all okay with the way ArmA does it since I'm using a joystick)

Rudder has been restricted like that since <1.05, hasn't it? what i wanted to add then is that its easier for me to control the chopper with joystick where it has been easier to control it with mouse in flashpoint back then. maybe this helps

Yeah well I just prefer Filefront because it's fast and free whereas the vast majority of the filehosters either requires some sort of registration or is freakin slow. point is that i concluded the official list (which i had looked at before, of course) isnt complete at all as the beta patch is missing (one patch i know about missing -> there could be others missing too) - so i went over to filefront and got confused there cos i didnt know whether i need to install the hotfix or not. thanks for the links.

Hey, I thought: Why not install ArmA again. OFP2 ('cuse me BIS) still lies far away, not clear when it's going to be released at all. So I need to download all the patches, don't I? But I'm slightly confused as regards what patches are nessesary and which aren't. From 1.00 German Version I shall install: * 1.05 International Update - #1 in the list * 1.08 Update - #? in the list? #1 or #2? Do I need the hotfix or is it already included in the latest 1.08? I presume s.c. "hotfixes" to be implemented into the regular patches ASAP. * 1.09 Beta Patch - #1 in the list, right? This only applies to 1.08, heh?

many people had this problem when first coming in touch with the way arma simulates helicopters. some said its rather realisitic, some said it isnt. however, you will get used to it if you just get yourself to play with it for a while. its not like a fixed wing ac. you just cannot rotate the chopper if you are moving forward. kinda exaggerated indeed, but we gotta live with it

no. just for instance, there is nothing said as for the hotfixes. the beta patch isnt even mentioned. etc. ps/ot: any recommendations as regards a site to download mods (audio,vfx)? thanks

ezechiel, ffs - those shots look amazing. Tell me how you did em. Step by step! naturally im not interested in how you assembled the composition but rather how you achieved such stunning vfx. the smoke in #3 doesnt really look like default smoke, heh? where d you get THAT from? an so on...

F:\ArmA\arma.exe -window Still it's fullscreen. What's wrong? --- In the options it says "Windowed" at the resolution-choice. The taskbar is visible in the game. It takes the full screen though.

With regards to 1.): Yes. Definitly the right place I've put it. Can't tell whether x and y works. Never tried it back when windowed-mode worked for me. But you can grab the upper-left corner of the window and change it's size by dragging it - if you don't like the resolution the window comes up with.

The fire comamnd has always been buggy. It's somehow interfering with the AI and you can't prevent it. One of the most anoying and restrictive things in ArmA :/

So, as wished by placebo. I'll just say it here: If you move your "mydocs" DONT put it under "root" such as C:\ or G:\. INSTEAD put it one level below. Such as C:\MyDocs or G:\MyDocs

Uhm... I guess I know the reason why the other thread has got been deleted. No I have another problem which I'll probably be able to solve in some time but I hope someone knows a striahgt approach so I don't have to "debug" it myself. I use Vista Ultimate and there is no more "My Documents". The only remains are a folder "Documents" at the Users-Directory. Very confusing - even to me - when you come from XP and have to understand how Vista administrates all that. I've moved the Location of "my Documents" from C:\... to G:\. This make me loose all profiles in ArmA. I can't even create new ones because they will not get stored. The ARMA-Folder is in the right place at G:\ArmA. It doesnt work though. So has anyone got an idea how to fix this?

Got it fixed. Dont put your Docs under Root.

Hi, Is there anything new on the dialog-thing? Have dialogs open that dont prevent the user from moving and interacting but are "just there"? anything new on dynamically opend dialogs within a dialog? this goes especially to those I was talking to last time round here.

I'm just installing Arma after coupla months not playing it and if I got this right there has been released a Addon called Queens G., right? I dont own that neither do I plan to purchase it thus I wonder if there are any non Q.G. Servers left for me to play on?!
