It might be a fictive island but it is unrealistic. You usually don't go from completely arid to completely lush enviroments in less than 10 miles. And especially not on islands. I believe a lot of people would prefer for Sahrani to be either completely woodland or desert, but not both at the same time. And no, it's actually not that bigger than OFP maps. There are user made maps that dwarf Sahrani in size, but perhaps not in detail.

Sahrani sucks shit in terms of it being even close to something real and sucks even more shit in it being able to hold a modern day war. The battle for Sahrani would last four hours and then either side would've taken over the whole island. It's way too small to represent the climate change it's trying, and the climate change happens in a snap. Like this one thin layer of mixed grass and desert and that's it. WHAT? The whole infrastructure idea is also screwed up. It's just way off for such a small area. For an island of that size it's very impossible to have that kind of infrastructure. But we're given no info on the background of Sahrani to explain why one side is completely MidEast and one side is completely Eastern Europe. Not plausible on an island of that size. Also, the coastline on the North Side of the island is borked. Basicly, the whole island is borked. It does have some good spots. I like the fields around obergan, good fighting ground and looks nice.

Wikipedia isn't the most reliable source because anybody can edit it, so I don't count it as a good source. Also, don't you guys need an Mg42 before you start deciding on what kind of a mag will be fitted on?

I like the idea! Some of the most fun times I've had in OFP and ArmA were ones were me and one of my bud just went around riding and trying to crash into each other, or doing some coordinated flying.

Are you using any blueprints?

Well, you should PM and ask Törni himself on the status of the T-55. I'm also looking forward to it as it's a nice addition to the SLA armour.

ArmA Rated one of the HARDEST GAMES OF ALL TIME
MehMan replied to Kevlar2007's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
Yeah, Homeworld does deserve a spot in that list, it was quite hard, especially that level where you had to break through the sphere of Ion Cannon cruiser. But then again, I was 10 or 11 and the only tactic I knew was forward. Then the Kadesh missions were even harder. Ugh. But all in all Homeworld was a really awsome game, back then when high speed internet wasn't a common thing and SP really mattered. -

Heh, I played that racing mission without the patches, HARD AS HELL! I think it took me three days to complete it, I was about to quit on that game because of the racing when I finally completed it. -

Here's the deal: the game has it's bugs, but they are getting fixed with patches. The game working properly on your computer is a bit of gamble, as it works flawlessly on some, with huge problems on others. The game isn't flawless, but if you get to enjoy it you'll love it if you liked flashpoint. There are some issues here and there that will most likely be address in a future patch, but besides that the game is pretty good.

Well is there any way to make a polygon surface with a water texture and make it behave like a tank track to simulate constant movement? I've been thinking about that and toying with the idea in my head, but I'm not sure if it's possible.

Doom3? Oh come on! That got so boring after the first five spooks. So predictable after the first three zombies jumped out of the same larger-than-the-rest closet. -

ArmA Rated one of the HARDEST GAMES OF ALL TIME

To you it might have not been scary, but to a 10 year old me, who watched the movie Aliens and Alien with a four year older brother who made sure I was afraid of it all, it was scary as shit. The game expirence was scary with the dark atmosphere and the whole motion sensor, at the time. I played it again a month or so ago, it wasn't really scary, but it had the nice movie atmosphere and it was fun to shoot aliens. The only game that spooked me recently was ArmA when I was reloading. An AI machinegunner snuck up behind me just as I was reloading, in the middle of it I suddenly hear smack-smack-smack as a short burst flew right over me(the AI was on a small hill 20 m behind me and about 5 above me, I was next to a building wall) it was that fatal error that caused that AI to lose his life, because I just turned around and shot him as he shot his first bullet which hit me in the legs. -

You are correct! And Snake is also hard after a while  But AVP wasn't hard hard, there were are a couple of stages where it was hard when you played the Predator, but not that hard. Also the Alien was way too easy. The marine wasn't too hard, but scary as crap, at least for the 10 year old me. Still is spooky because it captures that motion sensor tension from the movie very well. But it was easy. -

Hah, and do the 2 second ladder climb animation when getting on the horse.

Got any screenshots or renders?

Does anybody know where I could get fairly high res left and right shots, well lit(as in, it's not a silhouette) of the M60 machine gun. Something that I could use as a blueprint. I've got some gifs, but they are angled(meaning that the gun drawing is drawn with a slight angle and that gives a disproporitionated drawing and in turn, model), I've found some airsoft M60 shots, but I'd really like to find some more nice ones, so if you've got them I'd really like to have them.

The comic is just pointing out that there are almost no BDU's in the US army. He's not jumping out at you.

This warning should have come with the game...

There's a difference between being blinded by technology and not being able to find the "any" key. Those are the people I am talking about. -

No, it wasn't meant as an insult. Apologies, I copy pasted the wrong name. Guess the joke's on me eh. -

Man, I have that same idea in my head. However not because of Fallschirmjager, but because of many other ill educated users that are bordering complete stupid. So many FAQs would become obsolete if a computer license or computer course would be mandatory before you are allowed to use a computer.
