    A sped up night/day cycle would rule a lot.
  4. Even by that you can. 1 square in O2 and Gatebuilder is 1 m long. So by counting the squares you can see it's pretty much spot on.

    I think he means subgroups in your group. Like the colour coded teams.
  7. I'm pretty sure that in RL when you look down a scope with one eye(if you have both eye open and aim then you're either doing it wrong or you should be in NASA or something else, just not in the army, you're too good for that) you pretty much focus out everything else besides the scope.

  10. Yes, but not fully confirmed. I heard some talk about it, I heard something is being done on improving it, but that was it.

    Yeah, but I bet Mutators are only a couple of KBs in size. Addons and mods can be anywhere from 50 megs to 1 gig in size. Not very practical for a game server. The same deal exists in the BF series. People have to download mods and maps in order to play those mods and maps. And they don't get them from servers.

  13. YES! Confirmed 3dsmax compatibilty atleast for VBS2 and hopefully for ArmA. Now for some news from the devs for ArmA.
  14. The predator is pretty big. It's wingspan is bigger than that of an F-16, but it's almost half the length.

    Weapon fire modes

    I think ArmA should've changed the basis of this. Instead of using F to cycle through the fire modes AND weapons, it should just serve as cycling through the weapons in your inventory and a different key be assigned for burst and semi fire mode.

    I read that yesterday... Come on, most terrain/map editors for games has a realtime terrain modifier, here it's reserved for VBS?! That's just stupid  They paid 1500$ for it, you paid 50$. Plus they are also probably paying a bit extra for their version of Visitor. We are getting it for free. VBS is controled by BIA not by BIS.
  18. Yeah, but that doesn't mean we'll be able to open the soldier p3ds in the new O2. It's a new ODOL format and unless BIS also provides refrence models like with OFP then there's no guarantee that we'll be able to actually remodel the soldiers. Unless somebody makes an ODOL to MLOD converter. One thing I'm really hoping for in the new O2 is a decent unwrapping tool, otherwise we'll be seeing a whole lot of models with again 50+ texture maps that will lag down the whole game.
  19. But it's only a high poly WIP for now. No plans for ArmA. Plus the render I'm showing is kinda old. Still having problems with something Max does when I crank up turbosmooth.

    You can get O2 from the official site. And yes, it's compatible with ArmA.

    O2 Mapping

    From what I've seen O2 isn't the best unwrapping tool. You can try doing the p3d to ms3d convert and unwrap it in LithUnwrap which is a pretty good tool for being free. Then you can export it to 3ds and import it into O2. But you'll have to eliminate all other texture maps in O2 otherwise you'll have a broken up model in lithunwrap.
  22. Nearly everything can be done with the old tools, but it sounds like you aren't assigning the texture properly. I've got my stuff ingame and it works.

    Sounds like HL2. Â I mean look at Insurrgency, or whatever, its very realistic, even more so then ArmA in some reagons, and its got TONS of mods. Â Very easy to work with. As for physics, yes, i would enjoy shooting a guy and not watching him fall over THE EXACT SAME WAY the other 10 guys before him did. Â I would enjoy seeing the car i just nudged not get nocked off a couple of kicks to my left for no real reason. Â Id love my harrier to not BOUNCE off trees as it crash lands. But hay as they said, it might make the game EVEN MORE BUGGY. JOTR anyone?-For those that did play it, you could run threw walls if you knew how to, without hacks... The only problem with HL2 is the maps. And vehicle use.
