Yeah! A "Columbo" mod! Â "Oh, there's just one more thing..." I loved columbo. Used to watch it every sunday, too bad they took his movies off. He seems more believeable than CSI! Bah, nearly anything seems more believeable than CSI.

That's one of the major problems I had with one of my missions, and once the AI disembarked they also didn't swim to shore, they just stayed in the water.

CWS is looking a bit high poly. But that's probably just me.

Because they can have VBS which I believe is a better simulator and has way better support(IIRC) than ArmA.

It does matter, because RO got a licence for the Unreal engine and that means they can modify it too . I do agree that ArmA is lacking in armour. I was hoping for directional armour, which would be awsome, but alas, the hitpoint system remains. Dunno, I'm guessing we've expected too much from BIS. -

Well, you have some stuff already ingame though, you got the T-72, BMP-2 and BRDM-2. However you would need T-80s and something a bit newer with the APCs. -
I was thinking people would pick up on the normal things with ArmA, like 1 texture map for one gun, not 15 as I've seen once.

STALKER like gameplay in Arma

AH! Now I remember where I got my inspiration for my mission. Woke up today and wanted to make something just like in the first post, just less stalker like and fantasy like. Made this starter mission. Would like to expand it further, a lot further. I was wondering the whole time where I got the idea, I know I can't come up with something actually original. Will have to put your name in the readme. -

Who knows? Besides, can you remember the first shots of ArmA? Looked like a direct port from OFP with a bit better lighting.

Why? You can create things yourself, if you don't know how, you can learn them . The deal is to not give up. Also don't get a site until you really have to, or want to. It looks to me like the first step you took is a site, it should've been a last. First step is getting a good accurate idea of what you want, then an art list and get working on the art in some program or O2 itself, then export it/code it once the tools get out. -

Wrong. If you turn transparency AA to multisampling or off then AA has barely any performance impact. 7 series Nvidia cards will hardly be affected by it. AF actually has a bigger impact, mainly with bushes and grass. Still any card that meets ArmAs min specs can keep in on low at least - same goes for AA. Not on his card . I have the same card and I can tell you that AA eats away FPSs. At least for me. AF on the other hand is less of a FPS eater.
