    My thoughts exactly. And I'm totally unimpressed by this. Just a retexture and a bit of model hacking. Nothing really new was shown or announced, at least in terms of core engine changes.
  2. tried it but turns out very messed up. My left wing go backwards, my right wing pointing up etc...you get the picture. You have to reset Xform before exporting.

  4. That's strange, a dude made a pyramid with every brick modeled, the total count was 60k polies and he even had a video to back it up. But I'm not sure if he devided the model and brought it ingame in pieces or was it all one piece. I'm fairly sure it was just one piece.
  5. Exteriror or interior? Or both? With both, 12k is good. 12k is high for a lot of games, excluding the newest games. Now with normal maps 12k is definatley a lot. But that's ofcourse the first LOD. If you have a lot of optimised LODs then 12k is ok. Otherwise it's just wasting polies. But the polycount is a very relative thing.
  6. The guess is at 12k. You can try DXRipper to extract some ArmA models to use for poly refrence.

    You can have more than 400 polies in the shadow LOD. I've expirmented with a 1000 poly model up to 4000 poly. It worked but with varying loading results. So it's best to keep it low to keep preformance up.

    What exe change? If you mean the shortcut folder, then yeah, it will be the most definite and best way to ensure it works properly. If you don't like that, then you won't like most ArmA addons, because most will require shortcut mod folders. If you mean any other exe change, then you're probably doing something wrong.
  22. Hello! I'm making myself some missions that don't involve heavy scripting but are still random enough to be replayable. So far so good, I've got several squads that appear depending on the leader, with the probabilty set down to 50%. The biggest problem is that I have to name the squad leader and every squad member needs a condition set like so: alive name_of_leader That means that I have to set it manually for every squad and if I want to copy paste it takes a while. I've tried with the leader command, but it gives me errors. Any other ideas?

  24. Have you guys thought about adding some of the atmospheric soldier sounds that can be found in Grouplink II? I'd love to hear that with the new gun sounds, those sounds add a lot.

    Don't know where you could get the screenshot, but it was very small and showed a high detailed stryker in it, or at least decently detailed stryker, perhaps with normal maps applied. Can't recall that well.
