I kind of compared it to Black Hawk Down (Battle of Mogadishu) in a modern day aspect. Heavily outnumbered but not outskilled.

I saw the US premier on March 9th and saw it 3 times in theaters. I liked it a lot being a fantasized version of the story most told to me by my father during my childhood.

I thought so too, but ever since I reinstalled OFP, my MPMissions Cache folder has never appeared, even after creating/joining MP games. Edit: It's okay though. I will try reinstalling to see if it appears again. On another note, this was the first time i've ran OFP on Vista too. Also, rarely, BAS addons will crash the game. Maybe it is a custom config...who knows

I'm glad you made the transition, Johnny.

Thank you for the response TB.

My ears always hurt after awhile with those type of duds. Do you guys think this would do well along with Creative Labs X-FI? http://www.plantronics.com/north_a....5500015

Shaders Not Valid (mismatch of exe & Data?)
MAA3057 replied to Heater's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Well, since most components in laptop computers are fixed and not modular like there desktop counter-parts, it would make it a tad bit harder to upgrade. I've owned two laptops in my lifetime but had no intention on upgrading parts, so I am not sure how you can go on to do this. I've had Dells and people have told me that I can simply send it back to Dell via mail by support. They would in turn upgrade requested parts for a fee. Also, if you're able to do this, you should checkout Nvidia and ATI's websites to see which videocards support pixel shader and not only that, but have good speed and memory. I would personally put price aside (not a bogus amount) considering how tough laptops are to upgrade and not having to do it more then once in its life span. Here is a list of personal preferences on video cards. http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforcego7.html -
Shaders Not Valid (mismatch of exe & Data?)

It's your videocard. It doesn't support pixel shader. -
I just thought I saw your name up there with the FFUR DEVs before

TB, Spinal Tap, When you all carry on to ArmA, will you still work around the Russian/US theme? Or will you keep the North Sahrani forces as is? Just personal preference, but i'd like to see the Russian/US theme reintroduced.

Great patch! I am happy to see the F-15 featured as well as the good old DMA animations. But... The US soldiers still don't have shadows and the bullets bounce into space.

Problems: -AI persists to shoot in one direction after AI squad/team leader give commands. -Vehicles fly when grenades make direct contact with them.

Your screenshots are getting more and more violent, Parvus. Why the hatred? Need a hug? lol

I know this isn't directly related to the game, but why is it so darn hard to find Russians in matching uniforms in the pictures I have seen, much less full and orderly gear? Edit: In real life

I have to agree with you in regards to our younger generation of Americans. Most tend not to look at whats happening in the world through a political stand point. Most often, if they do have a clue, it is what their friends or professors have told them. Usually the information given to them is extremly biased and often times straight out lies. They need to concentrate on less mainstream media and shows and look into the seriousness of not only their own country, but others. They also need to think through a mature diplomatic point of view, and if need be, a more extreme perspective. Americans aren't the only ones with this problem though.
-
I was afraid that foreigners to the US would have the slightest thought of Americans being this way after this video was released on the net. It blasts everything out of proportion, I say. It probably took the show host hours to 'quiz' dozens of Americans with many questions. Hell, he probably quized many people in a couple of days only to cut out the most pitifully answered questions. If Americans were stupid, we wouldn't have created the most powerful (or at least one of the most) nation in the entire world in so little time (230+ years).

Dslyecxi, Don't the guys on the America's Army project use the same thing?
-
besides, a MEU wouldn't be stationed on an island taining allied troops. that's what the Army does, not the Marines. That's correct and does fit into the story line well. The Army\Air National Guard (or DOD) created the State Partnership program right after the seperation of Soviet states. The National Guard trains with these nations to help them create a more professional army. Small example, Illonois trains with Poland, Texas trains with Czech Republic, Connecticut with Uruguay on both our soil and theirs. On the wiki link I provided, you can find which US state trains which country. Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_Partnership_Program This kind of makes sense since South Sahrani maybe fell into Soviet rule and is trying to develop a more democratic governed modern military force after their 'probably' recent split from the communist north, thus, sending in National Guardsmen by the SPP.

I still believe they did it to appease both the Army and USMC as a promotional tool.

I don't second that   war is ugly! lol, SOBR...I meant the MOD True Combat: Elite for Enemy Territory, not actual combat.
-
These updates I hear of are only getting better and better everytime. Reminds me a bit of True Combat which is a great thing.

This MOD really deserves some good helping. What exactly is php coding? Is it that website stuff?
