J W: I wonder the exact same thing. How do people make their screen shots so darn crisp and clear? Is it the resolution? Do I have to tweak with some settings (besides making them high)?

I get about 20 on Desert Island. I am using this notebook I bought back in 2001. It is has 1GHz, 128MB Ram, 32VM (shared). So yeah, it sucks. I bought this laptop back in 2004 that costed $2100. It was 3.06GHz, 512MB Ram, 64VM (dedicated). After one semester of owning it, my room-mate decided to drop coca-cola on it...there goes that laptop (I never got to enjoy OFP on it). So I am back with this old notebook from 2001. I learned my lesson so I am going to get a desktop soley dedicated to BIS/BIA games/simulations. It will be 3.20GHz Pentium D Dual Core Processor, 4GB DDR2 Ram, 256MB GeForce 6800 (not getting the new 512MB video card yet so I can save money as I can usually upgrade it in the future when it gets cheaper) and Sound Blaster X-Fi. I am hoping to enjoy current and future BIS/BIA applications with this machine. It was either this or a rugged laptop that could probably only run OFP1 without enjoyment ($3700 Â ) Edit: Current price I have set for this desktop is $2200 (Getting it from Dell, don't like to build my own computers)

I didn't notice, but are the BDU soldiers still going to have backpacks on them?
-
Superb! Thank you!

Great images, KyleSarnik. They look really MGSdish...

Very nice detail, great stuff.

Hey TB, what are you going to use for the HMMWVs and such? Are you going to use the CBT ones?
-
What resolution do you guys usually use on these pictures?

I tried searching for this but I don't think searching helps me find the specific post. But is there any news on a VOIP feature?

Not putting any weight on your shoulders Dante. Add-ons are the first things most people look at when mods come out. Making a pack of add-ons is almost as good as a stand-alone mod.

These are the standard binoculars used by the U.S. Military. Just incase you're interested in implementing them. Steiner® Military R 7 x 50 Binoculars

Thunderbunny: I remember G-Police 1 and 2 (I loved those games). Psygnosis, the creaters, were my favorite game company who were based in Liverpool, England. I also remember Colony Wars...Those were high quality Sci-Fi games...man...It sucks that they just vanished into thin air. I am glad that a game like OFP is around though. It is the game of all games in my opinion. Now with Dante making a Sci-Fi mod will only help expand the genre within this already diverse OFP community.

The Future Combat Systems (FCS) of the U.S. Army: http://www.army.mil/fcs/ We got more then half the budget we need to accomplish the FCS program here. It would be cool to make a mod made entirely of FCS equipment. That is a great idea...I should make a topic about that if it doesn't pick up. Well anyways, check out the site. They got equipment, senarios, renders..the whole make.

I've been keeping up with these ironsight views and they are looking really great. In fact, one of the best I have seen in any game. Keep up this great work that keeps making FFUR a better mod than it already was. Heck, it practically is already another game all in itself all thanks to talented folks like the FURR team and the creators of Real Virtuality.

Hey Dante, your stuff is looking really good. Your tanks remind me of the FCW armor from the U.S. Army.

Yeah, MultiCam would have been made by now. It is nice and all, but I see it as something fictional as of now until someone actually uses it. Correct me if I am wrong, but does anyone even use it?

Listen to every single thing Cameron said. IMO.

OFP has had an impact on me. I first bought it back in 2001. Since then I have given away 3 copies and bought 3 copies. I just can't get rid of it. The only game in my harddrive is OFP (until the other BIS games are released) and will remain that way. It is one of my three hobbies and one of the couple of things I collect. Why buy diecast models when you can view them in 3D and even play them? OFP related games (VBS/OFP2/ArmA/Game2) will be the only games/sims I play from now till the end.

Awesome TB84! My favorite music genre are film scores and Hans Zimmer is my favorite. What a coenky dink!

Acacyn, you are ridiculously talented.

I don't recall there being a Desert ACU.

Thank you for that transition Colossus. This is a huge improvement from the original.

Half-Life is another type of game where modern music is alright. Instrumental music makes the feel of games and movies really nice. Compare 'The Rock' (movie) to 'XXX' (movie). I personally think instrumental music empowers. It has been around for years and will be around of years because it is that good. 'Modern' music only stays around as long as...well...not to long. My personal favorite type of music is Film (instrumental/orchestrated). They are rigged to give climatic moments and calm. www.StreamingSoundtracks.com (Radio) Great place to find out about and hear some good music.

Great TB84, I think instrumental music suits these types of games the best. They fit in with almost every situation and they also give games that epic appeal. Nice decision.

Haha, don't forget a double chin and 5' o'clock shadow.
