  10. +1, man night battles looks much better now :) Also.. the preview is awesome. Some new info about preview version. I like new UAV module, also there are some cool modules: First Aid Battle clearance example ;) Environment is awesome, and new light makes it more awesome. Clad to heard, AI can now go through the towns with no prob. What up with those tutorial missions? :D There are 4 in preview version Basic Command, Shooting Range, Helicopter Pilot and UAV... since Basic Command is number 01 and UAV 16, there will be 16 missions... But question is what will be there ;) I also heard somewhere, that preview version will have 60% of content from full game so... There will be more stuff to commin (can't confirm tho). Hopes for AC-130! Even if it's not in full version it will be DLC, trust me :P

  13. Cooper voice is EPIC :D But that's strange that for commands you can use your profile voice.. I think it's just little bug that will be fixed in final :)

  15. Well I yesterday did some tests in ArmaA2... Chopper will maintain it's attitude, while you set behavior careless. Luckily pilot still tells gunner to engage ground targets like Tanks, but the problem here is that (I did tests 150 and 125m) it can't identify soldiers on ground... so even if they fly around and enemy soldiers engage them, they don't do nothing... until they are exactly over them, then for some reason pilot gives permission to engage some time. So my guess will be, choppers will identify soldiers at distance <100m or so... I will do more test's but if so.. they should do it at least 500m lets say (for AH-64D) it probably makes game less balanced because at 500m you cant do nothing but... well in RL it's that way... actually they engage targets even 1000 - 1500m away so :D Default fly height for choppers should be 100m, but as I said it can be done in mission, just suggestion, no harm done :)
  16. No, I know all that, but I just tough that AI should fly higher by def. anyway it's not issue to me :P But... I don't get why this video is banned again. OK you right, press previewers don't make fan videos but... homie eJay waited this permission 2 weeks and asked directly from IDEA so I don't get it :confused:
  17. Video is great, but... 1) Why AI flying so damn low with apache? You can't target s**t on so low attitude. As you saw it moved so fast that you could not hit targets... I know that under the radar stuff but apache is so advanced that don't need direct attack anymore... 2) Zoom levels should be: 1.0x, 4.0x and 16.0x like JCOVE. Shouldn't be hard to change :) To me, they doesn't look that... Other than that, I like everything so far :)

  19. Hmm... DLC is cool but depends content... I would pay it, if there will be some cool features from VBS2 or even new features. Coz features from VBS2 wont come free, otherwise why else it costs 1000$ But some new tanks or cars... depends again... We will see sooner or later :)
  20. Damn BIS! I can't wait anymore :eek: 2 things I really love in this check list (those which we didn't knew before) would be: 1) SSAO - This really a good improvement on engine. It's nice to see ArmA in that list with all the other big games like Crysis, Uncharted ect... Can't also menton, that this algorithm was invented by Estonian programmer who works in crytek :cool: 2) Step based zoom - Hell yeah! Really.. that other zoom killed immersion to me. Was kind a annoying to hold zooooooom in or zooooooooooom out and more over max level was 5x or sth? Can't wait to see now 16x or 32x zoom level hehe xD Well we have now FLIR, zoom levels, C-130, It's are prefect for AC-130 hehe or maybe in future DLCs? ;)
  21. Actually that FLIR and Training video is made from BIS, but strange that it's not up Arma2Official youtube page nor other press like gametrailers, ign, gamespot ect... Also OA official site is updated last half year ago, we will see sooner or later tho :)

    Mmm... I play Veteran settings, and I think crosshairs are turned off, but for some reason choppers and planes still have them...

    I don't know :) Just offered one idea... actually I haven't seen yet, how these work in real life so yeah... But indeed... it should not show destroyed targets on HUD
