Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced
MATRA replied to imported_bör's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Good interview. Its a confirmation, they have a lot of people working at the project ATM. -
Ok so Game2 (next gen game) is ArmA2, now what to do with Next Generation Game forums, will they be renamed "Arma 2" forums? Will they be revamp? many things have been posted there, official features include. So do they count for anything now that Arma2 is announced?

Sounds interesting. *vast oil-rich island *tension between Russia and China *soldiers, weaponry and military transportation will be authentic and realistically detailed *game environment will be a comprehensive simulation of a real world location -
3 Great news in one day 1º Arma2 (The new theme gives me more hope in a epic feeling gameplay, something that AA never did.) 2º Arma tools (finally! To work guys we have to clean ArmA´s name before ArmA 2 release.) 3º Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising video "appetizer" (yes why not) 2008 will be a great year for us no doubt. Still there are some things that are bugging me. If ArmA 2 is Game 2, will the features from game2 remain? if so, and I realy hope so, I think ArmA 2 was a realy bad choice for the new game title, many people that I know associates ArmA name with bugs, bad optimization and terrible SP, most of them keep saying that "OFP" was the "real thing" (Codemaster´s jewel now), so a hole new title was the best choice IMHO.

After seeing Codemasters: line-up at Leipzig, im very disappointed. Opf2 isnt there damn. -
Good point bravo. But since Placebo has left the building, the link between Community and Producers, seems to be broken.

Do you have 4gb of ram and Vista x64?
-
And buy what? An old DX9 just to play ArmA? DX10 cards are this best cards available, for DX9 and of curse dx10, ALL DX9 games runs faster on a 2900XT and 8800 series in XP or Vista. EDIT: Oh and Vista SP1 is schedule to Q1 2008 ArmA is the exception here, as it is on 4gb of ram etc etc etc.
-
Gezz nobody had this problem too? Any solution?
-
Ok I solved one problem and got other now, I cant resume saved games, from SP missions or Campaign if I exit the game and enter again, the game start to load then CTD with this Error: If I try to load a saved or retry wile in game no problem at all.

new Nvidia 8800 drivers vista 64. Â Working anyone?
MATRA replied to jasooon's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Sure it works, just try to place 4gb of ram in ur system "et voila" back to the good old 158.24 -
I can confirm this 158.24 works as a charm! excellent finding Killswitch. It seems the problem is a bit more complex then we thought.
-
Hi do you use -maxmem=256?
-
Hi m8. You can solve the problem the Error code 8007000e with the -maxmem=256. 512 and 1024 wont work. As for the 4gb issue, now that we have confirmation, lets cross fingers and hope that BIS fix it. Im curious if the happens in XP x64 too. Time passes by more and more people will have Vista OS, 4gb, and new generation rigs, this means more and more problems for a lot of people. Lets hope ArmA doesnt stop in time.
-
Kevlar2007 Can you please post your full specs.
-
Maybe... or maybe not, I know 3 friends that stop playing ArmA cause of this error: And many more that have bought ArmA and dont visit this forum stoped too im shure, for them -maxmem doesnt exist. Till now the only support that users with this error had, come from the comunity, no hot fixes nothing, BIS didnt even bother too reply . So I dont have big hopes with this too. Maybe some dedicated user can solve this too.

this is my post from the other thread I know ArmA doent support Vista, but does it suport 4gb of ram?
-
i've got vista ultimate 64 and 4 gbs ram. matra, why the question about ram? Simple, My ArmA was working with -maxmem=256 rock solid on my rig E6600@3700 Commando MB BFG 8800GTX 2x1024 Cell Shock 6800 Mem @ 460FSB (920Mhz) RAID 0 X-FI Win Vista Ultimate x64 Today other 2 Dimm of mem (same as above) came from RMA (been there 2 months ) I instaled the dimms, and guess what.... the same problem as you guys! I DIDNT CHANGE ANYTHING, only put the 2 dimm in place. The problem here its not drivers its the game itself.
-
Let me ask something: How many of you guys that have this problem have 4Gb of ram?
