The title of the Next Generation PC Game in my opinion cant be Operation xxxxxx, its a totaly diferente game, with much larger envirements and not only one operation like in CWC. NGPCG will bring diferent operations as the scenario we´re playing at, Asia Europe, ... So I think the name must be something that embrace the full military experience that NGPCG will bring to the world of PC Games. Edit: "Frontline" or "Frontline Soldier(s)" sound like great titles.

With a DX9 engine and all the optimizations from the Xbox ver, I hope that the last generation of grafic cards run all things fluid.

I hope when they manage to find the new publisher, things will change, maybe they dont want to release any more information before they know who will take care of all the issues regarding ArmA image and divulgation. *I agree the ArmA home page needs a restyling, but many of the great game pages outthere are from the games publishers and not from the DEVs teams. *I also agree that ArmA needs a lot more divulgation, to "catch new blood" to the community, videos, screens etc. Take a look at BF2, videos all weeks screens etc, at the end there was people that cant even sleep waiting for it, I know it sucks and have bugs everywhere, and I hate it, but it made a wonderful publicity campain. Bur again I do belive that all this will be solve with the publisher annoucement.

Thats strange, i have a similar rig, play 1280x1024 75hz, 16x AF 4X AA, view to 1500m and I have a lousy performance if I turn on the DXDLL and sometime at mods like FFUR etc. @Totala: You have good porformance with DXDLL too? I have a A64 3200@2700(300HTT), 1Gb GsKill @ 300Mhz, SATA RAID 0 and a 6800GT @430/1150

Why not? BIS is not just going to release an addon. They had four years time to completely overhaul the engine and I haven't seen any insane graphics on the ArmA screenshots that would afford a cell processor. I bet you will be surprised how well it runs on a half decent machine. I mean Doom3, HL2, Far Cry or even BF2 run smoother than OFP on my machine. It's sure a different issue with The-game-formerly-known-as-Operation-Flashpoint-2 but we will have enough time to upgrade our machines until that release. On my machine I have the same problem, and when I turn on the DXDLL on my 6800GT, goodbye FPS.

WOW, that was huge number of ships u used there, very impressive ideed. What kind of Star Destroyers r they? I dont recon seeing then in the "New Hope" time table.

I have lag with the machine on the sign. I have to try the mod @FFUR to see if it gets better or use the CSLA efects. Gess its most recent grafic cards problem. Litle thing compare to the great work the CLSA team did here congrats guys

Yep, gandaf is right, on my 6800 I have a lot of lag in some videos and missions.

I dont know if you understand what I said, so Ill explain, Kopassus killed the NZ peace Keepers because they dont want to leave East Timor without a clear military victory in 25 years, that is one of the biggest frustations of all indonesian ranks, that the funny thing is in this 25 years, one of the bigest armys in the world, coulnt dominate an Island with 500.000 people despite of all the tortures, violations and killing they made. Still we dont know who realy kill he NZ soldiers, Kopassus or the East timor Militias trained by the indonisians to deploy terror through all the island. Ah and its nothing funny about the killing of any human being.

That was a revenge for the East Timor freedom fighters (Fretilin) kick their asses for 25 years.

i should try cs:s then, just can´t accept the weapons in bf2. didn´t take much time to notice that short bursts with the m249 would never hit, or is it just me having to shoot half the mag to get 1-2 kills ? also the mp5, i shot a full mag on an enemy about 3 meters in front of me and hit him only once Yep, the BF2 MP5 do an amazing job missing all the targets. When we have the Anti-Tank kit better use the pistol The thing I realy like in BF2 was the artilhery, man it give some close support blast! But still is a arcade game for fun only, nothing serius.

The only way to avoid CTDs is to have a "clean ofp" with the original stuff patched 1.96 ... Several people tested the pack and haven't noticed any CTD though The release is soon , I can't tell you when because Reven (our proud Manager) still has to improve the installer that komuna (ECP team) has made for us. I tryed the, *classical without soldiers talking and surrendering, *Body Explosion without soldiers talking and surrendering no CTD here. *Powerful Single with Body Explosion ONE CTD at battlefields. I still may have a look at the others.
