M9ACE replied to bboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Right-click on your icon and add "–nosplash" to your target line (minus the quotation marks). -
I play on the following servers: Armacalypse (I do not play there as much as I used to) C5 The Citadel (My squad's server. It is locked most of the time.)

Crocodile Addon
M9ACE replied to charon productions's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hi Charon, this looks interesting. Do you happen to have a link for this or did you intend for this thread to be in the Addons & Mods: Discussion section? Either way, it looks like a promising addon. Thanks. -

Sorry for the late reply, was not paying attention to this thread. The term you are looking for is Cannoneer.

Real Life Photography/Photo Editing II - NO IMAGES >100kb

Iraqi sea mine. -
Probably because it was included on the ArmA2 DVD. If you had downloaded it from Sprocket or Steam I cannot comment on that, but I would assume you would have had the option to install it when you were installing the game itself.
-
I find that problem to be particularly annoying as well.
-
You can find pvp games on the C5 and Armacalypse servers. Keep in mind some nights things do not get started until 10:30 PM (Eastern US time zone).
-
It would be possible. He can respond to me via typing ingame or with the chat feature in TS. What is important to me is not me hearing others, but rather me being able to speak to someone else as opposed to typing.

Hi sharker807, You can jump on TS with me sometime and I can walk you through some of the basics. Do you reside in North America?

Pls remove cd check for OA in next patch
M9ACE replied to zaira's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Never in my experience have I heard of any CD or DVD drive destroying the media it is supposed to read. From my first 4x Toshiba CD drive (circa 1994) to my current drive, I have had no issues at all. Scratches occur when the end user is not careful when they handle optical media. Never place the read side down if you are placing it on something. When handling a disk, put a finger through the hub or hold it by the edges. My OFP disk is in perfect condition and I had it since 2001. -
EA-6B Prowler - WiP by IrishDeviant

There are other F-14s on display in the US. -
Rocks Raiders is active. We are not in any leagues / tournaments / ladders. I organize games against other groups occasionally, in fact I have a match setup for tomorrow. I organized many matches back in the ArmA1 days, sometimes even three-way C&H matches.
-
I spend more of my time on the Armacalypse and C5 servers than I do my own squad's server, but everyone I am on Teamspeak with knows how much I hate those damn rocks. It is not just one or two rocks, and you have to be wary of even walking within a couple of meters of some of them or risk being shot into the air. In my opinion, this problem really detracts from any type of meaningful game play in areas that have lots of boulders and smaller rocks covering the landscape. I have been playing the BIS games since 2001 and I expect some bugs. I know they release patches but with OA the volume as well as the nature of the flaws really adds to frustration for even the most die-hard fans. I really hope this particular problem is addressed, and sooner than later as I and many others consider this problem to be severe.
-
The rocks in OA are a total disaster.
-
BIS has that characteristic right. That is because the commander's position is not stabilized on the older T-72 in real life and that is how it should be in the game.
-
Dromedary Camel.
-
Absolutely.
-
Slyder, you should know better. ;) One of the servers you regularly play on is: IP- 64.120.46.50 Port- 2402 Alternatively, you could have found the information here: http://armacalypse.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=10

You can still directly connect to any server. When you are in the multiplayer screen, hit the "Remote" button and enter the correct IP and port.

Online support no longer available for arma 2
M9ACE replied to SERPYNT's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER
It is a Gamespy issue. You can still connect to your favorite server if you happen know the IP of it. -
There is no ranking system in ArmA2 and OA per se. However, such a thing can be scripted into missions if the mission maker so desires. ArmA2/OA offer a tremendous degree of flexibility. All game modes exists, AAS, A&D, CTF, C&H, CTI (AKA Warfare, etc.), Coop, DM, etc. The pvp community is small, but if you know where to look you will find the game play that you prefer to play every night.

Locking some Windows functions (like ALT+Tab or ALT+F4)?
M9ACE replied to SnowSky's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
When my system is locked up I prefer to use Alt+F4 to shut down ArmA2 and OA. -
Help Multiplayer - No servers listed/found
M9ACE replied to clayton's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Welcome to the forums Clayton. You should stick to version 1.07 for ArmA2, not version 1.05.
