    I´ve never been diagnosed with anything, but what´s ultimately helped me over the fact of shying away was Balshoiw (iirc) telling me to "use my voice" during an OFP community night, english anxiety and all included. It´s the internets, you can do it :)

    Would´nt be all that bad if it was "lore-friendly" like the first alien movie with it´s vhs scanlines and stuff ... but a game toting railguns and aerodynamically improved A-10´s? tbh tho my biggest gripe is the overlay thingie as such, could aswell be hello kitty themed and be just as ridiculous :D

    I´ve come along this screenshot of the (supposedly) new gunner view in tanks dlc, and i have a question: Why would optics in the year 2035 need a texture overlay to make your sights shitty? It immediately attacked my eyes because i know the effect from a shader (not a texture overlay!) that succeeds in making Terra Nova (~25 years old game) less pixelated on modern resolutions (see pics in spoiler). The effect rocks when you´re upscaling a game that runs on 640x480 at max. But seeing a bad copy of it in ArmA 3 seems like someone needed a way to make the gunner sights look "modern & cool" (debatable ) with little to no effort.

    Looking absolutely fantastic, the room transitions and shelf pushing ... everything about it is so un-arma I´d be surprised if that sort of movement and camera control would´nt be interesting for alot of people!!! Still too scared to take a look inside your SML files, just thinking about the scale of the required animation trickery makes my balls cringe.

    In the case at hand i´d just spawned the guy directly onto cemetery since there´s no players around seeing him walk through the gate anyway. But yes, these are the defining ArmA features. There´s no fun in mission making when you succeed at first try ... no wait, what?

    Holy shit this new forum software does´nt let me re-write quotes so now im forced to type it in myself lol... As for your problem, see below :) It´s the same for any class you inherit from when it wasn´t called/mentioned (missing the correct term here) in your config before. You have to do this one time only, any further inheritances from H_HelmetB don´t need the empty class call. class cfgWeapons { class H_HelmetB; class H_Shemag_WTF: H_HelmetB

Read about that shiny new scripting command (setFeatureType) in a Jet´s DLC topic, found it has a config brother, and figured somebody might enjoy this Get it on the steam workshop edit: Preview pictures with & without the addon loaded. Taken from a comanche gun-cam, hovering in 3km height at the most southern point of the big island (i always mix them names up) - one comanche and a warthog standing on the salt lake.

  22. You´re coming across exactly as one of those people that make modding in ArmA a less worthwhile hobby. As said before, I don´t worry about downloads so much anymore. It´s just those piggybacking people ... i´d say they get my blood pumping but even that is over. It´s become a matter of "release something for arma and fuck your rights or don´t release at all" which is really sad and not fitting to my personal opinion of what it should´ve been, or what it was like in retrospective. Let´s just leave it at this: Once you´ve released some mods and i get rich off of them, we talk again
  23. Well you´ve named the relevant part yourself: "many years ago most scripters and modders were very open and helpful and shared 'their stuff' with the community". Times have changed since that dayz uproar when people started shitting on the whole concept of sharing and helping and then replaced it with the sole wish for profit. And once there´s money involved, all friendship ends.     Trying to de-language-barrier my question: I truly hope the numbers are not right according solely in context to the reuploading of my exact files. (Royale witch Cheese Mod on it´s own might achieve 40k easily, that does´nt say the script properly counted for the redistribution of my actual addon/ip/etc.) As a german saying goes: Hope dies last, but it definately dies edit: Also i´ve read 400k for 40k ... so much about my booze-o-meter for today
