Colossus, are you ex-cav? I've seen that page a couple of times before, but didn't know you were behind it. Anyhow, if you are, we could really use some internal reference photos if you have'em. Other than that, we have quite a few photos for use, so this will hopefully turn out very nice. Especially with "gun-nut" Jahve doing some amazing stuff on the weapons-front. Viking is still waiting for his posting privileges here at the forum, but i can tell you that he is working on some really gucci stuff. It has something to do with jumping out of planes. Stay tuned for more info on that! Other than that, he wishes to thank you all for the interest shown in this. Cheers all, Marcus

Hey McNools, haven't had a go at the island yet, i'll be downloading very soon though. However, if this is still something in the works i was thinking you might be interested to know that i was on a three month vacation to the Solomons last year. I took home loads of photos which i was thinking you might find helpful. Point your browser here for some of them: http://community.webshots.com/user/marsuitor http://media.militaryphotos.net/photos....olomons I've more on my HDD, so don't hesitate to drop me a line of yer' interested. Cheers, Marcus

Hunter some (hopefully) constructive critisiscm: - You should change the crouching anim ASAP (i know you just changed it into this...). IRL such a position would give you no stability to the sides when firing the weapon. Best option would be the one in the previous anim-pack build IMO. - Same pretty much goes for standing with weapon. For best stability, you should not have a twisted torso (if you get my drift) and legs should be placed further apart (optimally yat shoulder width). The leg opposite your firing arm should be in front. - For the AT weapon firing anim, is there any possibility to include a prone one as well? Other minor stuff not really that much of a problem, the standard standing anim causes the BAS Delta/Rangers camelback to be warped into the soldier model.

I'm definately loving this addon, but i'm having a minor glitch with the gun firing sound. The gun itself fires as normal, but the sound is non-continous. I seem to be the only person having this problem around here. Anyone have any ideas Cheers, Marcus

NFS Temporary Screenshots Page Iufala lukim nao, i've updated the screenies page. More pictures in various situations as usual. Be aware that there are quite a few 50-90k pictures on the page ATM, so things can get slow on a low-end connection. I'll see if i can put the pictures in as clickable thumbnails sometime soon... I know there are quite a few texture glitches that needs to be ironed out, most notably the "triangle" under the arm, but also some positioning etc. etc. We've also decided to let the kneepads go as textures rather than models (too many anomolies in current form). And also perhaps add a safariland holster to the SF operatives and let the regulars use the bianchi stuff. And naturally, random faces will also show up... On other NFS fronts, Jahve is hard at work on a Norwegian Leopard 2A4, a Mercedes GD, a Scania truck and a Patria APC. So things are very well alive and kicking in NFS at the moment! Have fun and take care, Marcus p.s. The BTR and Kord MG shown in some of the screens are from DKM's Beta APC pack and the other soldiers from BAS' OPFOR/Tonal suite. Excellent stuff!

Desert Troop Screenshots Welkam, just to show some pictures of one of our ongoing projects, Norwegian desert troops. Shown here are some early pictures of Norwegian special forces MJK/FSK in desert regalia somewhere deserty. Still quite a bit to be done, so no release date yet. The completed version of the desert troops will include Norwegian professional regulars and special forces in various versions. We intend to include different types of berets so as to let people use different regiments ingame. As of now these will be FIST-H/Telemark Bataljon, 6. Division, HJK (for ceremonial purposes only i'd think...), Finnmark Regiment (GSV and Jegerbataljonen) and regular brown beret. Also perhaps some navy berets as well. For anyone interested, the theme of our packs will be set somewhere between now and around five years in the future, hence we'll for the most be operating with G36 and C8 rifles for the majority of the soldiers (much like what Earl and Suchey chose to do with their USMC addon). Also perhaps the FN-F2000. Other things we intend to include is BAS compliant goggles, Suchey's set of wound scripts and effects, and our own, JAM compliant, set of weapons. Also expect some missions to go with these, and eventually, perhaps, a campaign'ish thing also. Feedback is welcomed and should be directed either Viking or Marsuitor: patrickfardal@hotmail.com marsuitor@hotmail.com Other stuff worth mentioning is that these troops are currently planned released once complete, and we'll then continue work on our woodland troops. Much the same can be expected from them except they're woodland. Some of the vehicles we've got planned is the Swedish Stridsbĺt 90 for our KJK-marines and an open top Mercedes GD with a mounted .50 cal on top. More on those some other time. Also, just for record, the weapons shown on the screenshots are either Suchey's Marine M4's or standard BIS M4.

Colossus, You cannot restore order and peace if you are not trained and prepared to fight. Also, there's a difference between a peacekeeping mission and a humanitarian mission. But for the sake of keeping this thread on topic, i'll refrain from discussing this anymore here. I'll gladly continue over PM if you wish. Phoenix, thanks for that. We'll post new stuff in the thread mentioned. Eisa01, Thanks, your help will probably be very much appreciated! Contact Viking or Turbobyk if you wish (you have their mail?). Vade_101, Thanks for kind comments. Still hanging about... Been offline for quite some time now due to prolonged holiday. Still working in PUKF i presume? Anyhow, we'll probably have some .cpp issues or the likes in due time, so thanks for the offer! Cheers!

I wouldn't be too quick on the trigger there mate, there's been more going on than you'd think. The Lebanon era saw quite a bit action for the Norwegians, Somalia 93 had a few incidents for the Norwegian contingent and there's been stuff going on in the Balkans since way back in 94 (if i'm not mistaken) when the first Norwegian troops were deployed there. Also, i don't know what the SF has been involved with in A-stan, but i'm sure it's not just fun and games. Also keep in mind that the units out of this "mod" will be set some 4-5 years into the future. The Norwegian army, per today, is in change. It's slowly turning more and more pro, which i believe will equate to the Norwegian government in the future giving green lights to deployments unthinkable of for only a few years ago with regards to threat levels. Bottom line, Yes, there will be missions.

Hi, the animations are from OFPHunters animation replacement pack. Amongst many, includes new animations for "standing still", "on knees" and "walking in safe mode". I believe you can find them on OFP.Info. The camo scheme is basically the standard woodland layout, but with the colors changed to reflect a desert invironment. Looks quite effective, especially after some use when the colors have faded somewhat. Probably one of the things we'll be doing, getting the textures weathered some more. Apart from that our textures and models are pretty much finalized, just the weapons and a shitload of coding to do... Some piccies of the actual camo: Btw, the avatar is from some Ebay auction for some stuffed taxidermy baboon that was for sale. Probably the ugliest item i've ever seen.

Yup, quickly pressed into service after Norway decided to send an engineer squadron to Iraq and found out that using US desert camo (used in A-stan) wasn't such a good idea in that location...
