We ask for new stuff, but we gotta fix the old.

Is this more like what you're after? The M14 iron sights from the Tales of War Mod's recent M14 pack... -
It's SP for me - online multiplayer isn't terribly fun on my 56k modem, and none of my mates have the game, so no LAN OFP for me I yearn for the day when we have a game like OFP with unbelievably life-like AI... Still, the SP game is awesome and it keeps me off the streets

Could you maybe, possibly make a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) scheme? It's basically just the standard grey with the RAAF roundels and tail markings... F/A-18A F/A-18A F/A-18A F/A-18B

I went with The Matrix (even though noones seen the 2nd one yet) - it is one of the most original movies I have ever seen and I'll take a good sci-fi movie over a movie like LOTR any day I just hope they don't botch up the next two... I'd really like to see a third Ghostbusters movie though

Plus the additional gameplay elements of having to conserve/gather/steal equipment makes it that much more in-depth. The graphics are a step above the OFP:CWC graphics, although to have the really top-notch settings running the game smoothly, you'll need a ridiculously fast computer. Still, the graphics are much better than before - the textures are much more detailed, and the light effects are great. Anyway, since you have it on order, i'd wait until it comes and see what it has - discovering new features is half the fun

They will be carrying the Colt Model 1911A1 .45ACP pistol.  Seven round magazine, .45ACP (of course. =D).  As for the Glock 17, I didn't know that was even issued.<span id='postcolor'> The G36 rifle wasn't in service in 1985 either, but, as has been said numerous times before, the campaigns are the only element of OFP that are chronologically fixed - addons can be used in user-made missions that occur later than 1985. OFP can be set whenever you want it to be set, only the campaign has a set time period. As for the addon weapon characteristics (ie. the M14), complaints can be made in the threads about the release of the addon, which should exist if the addon maker cares about feedback. I do agree with you that addon makers (assuming they want to make their addons as realistic as possible) should get the characteristics of their models right - if they don't, they'll hear about it . I was also a bit disappointed with the BIS Beretta 92 with it's 10 round magazine. Major Fubar made a fix for this, which you can find in his signature pic. -
"Minotor’s principally new line of business involves the development (jointly with a number of Russian and Belarusian enterprises) of the 2T advanced fighting vehicle that features high protection, maneuverability and fire power. This vehicle deserves special mention: it is a highly automated and «superarmed» (in terms of the number of target detection and engagement systems) light tank designed to stealth technologies whose maneuverability and speed are similar to those of a modern passenger car. It is one rare example of a weapon system designed, manufactured and funded by Minotor and its Russian and Belarusian partners." From http://www.milparade.com/2000/40a/03_04.shtml Is this the one you're talking about?

I have more free time than I can shake a stick at now that uni's over until next March, so I can fart around with OFP all I like

Very true.... I think a lot of people in the West are under the impression that Scud missiles can be launched in Iraq (or another 'hostile' nation) and hit anywhere - Scuds are theatre missiles, not ICBMS, and are notoriously inaccurate anyway (I suppose this matters less when chemical/biological warheads are used). People in the West still seem to be stuck in a Cold War missile mindset - where 'missile' = ICBM. Scuds in themselves do not directly pose much of threat to the West, and this should be made clear to the public. Israel (and Western interests in the Middle-East), on the other hand, is in a much more dangerous position, as was seen in the Gulf War. However now with their new anti-missile system (Silver Arrow?) that is much more effective than the old Patriot SAMs, Israel is in a better position than it was in the Gulf War. I also get the feeling that some politicians in the West would rather not clarify this difference in order to keep this misunderstanding prevelant, and thus lend support to attacking these countries (ie. Iraq).

Good work with this new version...the textures look quite a bit better, and the interior is much better Like some other people have said, the sight still needs a bit of work - it's not clear enough. The sound for the 14.5mm MG is damn good, but the PK sounds just a bit too heavy for 7.62mm. In any case, a very good addon  ooh, and the snow BTR looks very nice indeed!

You guys are absolute champs! I've been after some Kiowa variants ever since the original BIS model came out - IMO it's still one of the best additions to OFP thus far... It's good to hear you're making a Longbow Apache as well...I like my battlefields as modern as possible Thanks again guys - I've learned to be very excited whenever BAS announces a project

The police here in Western Australia are finally getting rid of their old S&W .38 revolvers, and are getting Glock 17 & 19 pistols. It's been a while coming, seeing as criminals have had these & other semi-auto pistols for years. As nice as it would be to not have to carry weapons (except for a nice, heavy truncheon perhaps ), as long as the crims have guns, the police should make sure their weapons aren't inferior.
-
Thats not really something anyone here can answer, your best bet is to resolve it with the other guy. If you didn't steal this guy's work and you want the community to see this, you should release your model so that people can compare the two models (yours and his) - it'd be very coincidental if the two are exactly alike (ie. there should be some noticeable differences) What reasons does this other guy have for thinking your model is his? Just by the screenshots? or did he give you his model and you've started your own?

lol, I've been waiting for someone to say that

For a bit of a lighter read about WWII, you might want to read some of Spike Milligan's memoirs, like 'Adolf Hitler: My Part in His Downfall' & 'Mussolini: His Part in My Downfall' A lot of it isn't directly about combat, but about the periphery of the war. Really funny stuff though.

Which book is it that the US goes to war against a united Arab alliance in Saudi Arabia? I've heard it referenced in other books (like Bear and the Dragon), but i've never tracked down which book it is exactly...
