What would you like to see in ofp2

Sugestions: A new improved engine. I'll like some eye candy, at least, as better as UTK2003 engine or Battlefield 1942 one. With dinamic Lightning, pixle shading, bump mapping, etc. of course Improvements on multiplayer. Ill love to see multispawn based gametypes like the zone controls or even CTF like in Battlefield. Even though Bis said it wasn't posible, Battlefield team has manage to do it pretty well. the fact that you have to wait for plasying only makes multiplayer less fun. If they manage to do that in OFP2, it will be the game to beat at multiplayer. Increased realism in physics. There are many arcade war games out there. None has emphasised the importance of great physics like OFP. Im hoping to see more of it on the OF2 Mod tools relased since day one. Not only the mission editors but also a new version of Oxygen for OF2 and a terrain editor for new isles. Less Bugs. Can I stress this....a lot. Multiplayer In game voice comunication. Well halflife could do it. Why not OFP2? More cheat protection A singleplayer campaign as good as the Red Hammer. Improve AI. He he he....AI in OFP is oen of the best all around. Still some imrpovement will be more than welcome.

    Operation flashpoint 2

There are too many Vietnam games lately....I was hoping for something in a more actual time...Maybe Desert Storm, Iraqs War, of something modern (Even a fictitious USA vs. EU war)..... Vietnam games relay on many jungles and squads of 8-12 men. There is no intensive use of vehicles, big islands. This is one of the most boring settings for a game like OFP. I was hoping for OFP to follow its war simulation theme and not go down to the CQB. So far the only vehicles we'll regularly see are a ocasional Huey and a Jeep. Till now we have this Vietnam games. They all grafically are great (or will be great). Also their gameplay os good but nothing as intense as OFP. OFP2 will have a strong competition. Vietcong pic Line of Sight: Vietnam pic Men of Valor pic Please read forum rules, no pic over size of 100kb.

  7. well looks like some guy named Leb from the tribalwars forums just found a way to set up a American Army dedicated server.... Only bad thing is that you can't join your own server still this can be used in any lan party without trouble...... here's an extract of the post: "After a bit of experimentation with some old UT commands, I was able to get a server running. Navigate to the System dir of America's Army Make a copy of Default.ini and rename the copy to hoho.ini Open hoho.ini and make the following changes: Find localmap=Entry.aao and change it to localmap=Pipeline.aao (there are a variety of options, look in the map dir for more maps) Find the line that says ServerActors=UTelnet.TelnetServer and comment it out (add a ; before the line) Create a batch file in the System directory with the following line: armyops.exe -server ini=hoho.ini Run the batch file. Now, this will create a dedicated server which people can (and will, holy f**k it fills up fast) join. You can further tweak the hoho.ini file to add modify a variety of settings like maxplayers, listings, etc. To connect to servers people host, pull down the console and type 'open <ip>' A little update, the original instructions won't list the server on GSA. If you wish to list it, do the following: 1. Say hello to Mex 2. Uncomment the following lines: ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerQuery ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.gamespy.com MasterServerPort=27900 DoUplink=True Incase you don't change the port in the .ini file the default port is 1716, not 7777" Here is the original link: how to set up a AA server

    Interested in getting america's army?

After trying this game I must say so far looks and feels great. Even thoug it has some bugs in the first training courses. Its will be a great game better than many games I have played. It weapons and physics realism puts SOF2 to shame. Still Ill like more reality (blood, playing as an Terrorist, more wepons to choose, vehicles a la Operation Flashpoint, etc.). Two things really sucks about AA. One: Only support for gayspy. Gaypy is the worst piece of spyware you can install in your machine. Two: Terrible planning. All servers are almost full. Including the servers running the MOUT map (a map you need to pass to play online). So you get to wait several hours just to play that mission and once you get to pass it. You don't advance cause the server can't transmit the info top their master server cause it is overwelmed. Army should have though that a free game based with great physics would attrack more guys than a Britney Spears nude concert . Another dumb thing was the absence of dedicated server software so you could have some lan parties or internet gamming in other servers besides Homelan. Also they have talked about vehicles and other weapons but I really doub it willl be as diverse as OFP weapons and vehicles selection. Lets hope they solved their problems...still I recomend all my friend to play this game..if you have the hardware to run it (900MHZ, GEFORCE2 with 32MB minimum). I only hope Bis realize the importance of improving OFP grafics a lot......and fixing the pyshics gliches it has with some vehicles..but still OFP as a military sim game beats AA. Over and Out.........

    Oxygen being released this week?

go to www.operation-flashpoint.net to the editing section..... If those are a render... it had to be the best job all around.... As I have told you all.. they have Oxygen. You can bet your head on it.

    Oxygen being released this week?

On the Oxygen subject: many mods have Oxygen... they just don't tell anyone to not violate their agreement with BIS (A very stupid agreement if you ask me...) Operation Vietnam, Invasion 1944 and Desert Storm have it. They just don't say anything about it. If you have a doub check the screenshots at the mod sites. Lost Brother should have it in three days (that if BIS give it to them after their public announcement) About Pamela: Pamela Anderson is not boring.... just check her porn movie with Tommy Lee. She can do a thing or two that will keep you veeeeery entertained.
