no. the VW 181 (kuebel, thing) was a modified beetle. (engine rear, aircooled) the VW 183 (Iltis) was constructed in the 70s and won the competition against the mercedes G (G-Wagen) for german military service. its completely different to kübel: engine front, 4x4. everything on this car has been made by audi at ingolstadt, so i would say its a modified audi quattro, not a modified kübel the complete production line has later been sold to bombardier, building iltis for belgian an canadian army btw: in 1980 an iltis won the paris-dakar
