Man I enjoyed that movie...

I think that your avantar looks kinda strange. <span id='postcolor'> Its meant to.... For the full sized pic I made it from, click here. I wanted a really bizarro pic, and I think this is one freaky photo. Oh, and yes, it is BIS's right to determine if tools are made available or not, and who they are released to, but I think theyve gone about it in a pretty poor way. What I was trying to say is that if it is released, people can use it to make any mods they want, no matter how silly or non-miltary. I was trying to say that is up to the game owner to determine what mods he wants. I dont think BIS can rightly release tools to the public and then complain about the type of mods that are made. But maybe I did miss the point of your post, I must admit I actually read the reply more than your original.

I agree, what's wrong with UFO's. giant robots etc., especially in context. Here's a clue: if you don't like a mod, dont install it. With full modelling tools available people could do awesome total conversions like Predator, Aliens, Starship Troopers, Stargate and many other sci-fi military genres. To simply say modelling tools shouldn't be available because it might lead to some mods that you dont like personally is totally ridiculous.

Animals...I wan't guard dogs dammit!

I really, REALLY hope it doesn't just replace existing bugs with new ones. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, BIS do a great job with updates and patches, but a lot of new bugs still seem to crop up with each patch. Dare I ask, how thoroughly are the patches playtested before release? Sorry to sound like a whining ingrate, but I'm just curious.

Why do people feel the need to say this is the most stupid poll ever? Seems to me the sensible thing to do if you thought it was so stupid was no to contribute to it by adding a post.... Oh, I voted no. I'm not entirely happy about the Oygen thing (I think BIS handled it rather poorly), but I enjoy OFP too much not to buy potentially great addons. I do hope, though, that the Resistance expansion doesn't make the game incopatible with non-resistance versions, could make MP a real pain in the ass. But, if that's the price of improved graphics etc., then, so be it. Also, people DO have a right to boycott products if they want. Doesn't mean they are right, or that i agree with them, but people have a right to buy and not buy whatever they like, no matter what their reasons are.

Also satchel charges are perfectly safe until they are armed<span id='postcolor'> Satchels are safe until detonated, but CAN be destroyed by concentrated fire. Think about it. Also, yes, grenades when used properly can be timed so that they explode almost on impact, but it would be nice to have the option of bpouncing grenades around corners etc. I think you missed the main point of the original post though....

If I post a topic about FADE, Oxygen and S 11, will it break the record for the number of stupid responses and flaming ever to one thread, or will it break the record for how fast it's locked? Â Â Â

Does anyone know if 1.45 has fixed the multiplayer "OH NO, 3 IS DOWN!" infinity bug? I haven't played any mulitplayer since it's been out....

Still, it would still be nice to see the resistance with a few more "low tech" weapons like the Kozlice, maybe some hunting rifles (30-30 lever action, .30-06 bolt action) etc.... (I'd love to see a pump action or semi auto shotgun in the game)

I'm sorry, but I simply need oxygen to survive!

As much as I appreciate a company that puts out patches to improve their game, is it just me, or has each new patch introduced almost as many new problems as it fixes? Â

Hey, where did the Operation Holy War thread go? Was it deleted? (If so, does that mean that stupid USA/S11/Afghanistan topics have finally been banned?) Thanks...

OK, now I know your pulling my leg...I CAN'T find it....

Wonder if it'll be like riding the motorcycle with sidecar in Hidden & Dangerous...

It would be interesting to see animals in OFP, but I think it would require a helluva lot of work to make a mod for something like that. If it was possible, though, I'd like to see guard dogs for bases...

Perhaps try a different display device, by running your Operation Flashpoint preferences program. Also try different resolutions etc. Maybe this will help...

Maybe we could make a campaign about the USA sticking it's political penis into countries all over the world in which it has no right to be, smugly enforcing their "might makes right" morality on the rest of the world, and then playing victim when they finally push someone too far... Oops, did I say that out loud or just think it? Â

I think most organised religions are stupid, not just Islam. What about Christianity: the crusades, burning "witches"...I could go on forever. And for the record, Afghani's arent any more evil than Austrians. Remember Hitler? Badmouthing a whole race over the actions of one man is just plain stupid. Are all Americans evil because of what Timothy McVey did? People need to have a good hard look at their reasoning, on both sides of the "War against terror".

I have been trying to convert PBO (mission) files to SQM files, so I can see the scripting and so forth in missions. I have read several threads about this topic, and so I grabbed myself the "DePBO.exe" program, which extracts the PBO files into their components (briefing file, SQM file etc.), and this works fine. But when I try to open the SQM file in the mission editor, it always crashes OFP! Â What am I doing wrong? I read that the official BIS missions are encrypted, but I have this problem with custom user missions too. I have been putting the SQMs in my OperationFlashpoint\Users\Major Fubar\missions folder, and I see them there in the mission editor, but invariably when I open them with the editor the whole of OFP crashes, and Im stuck staring at my desktop. This is the error message I get - 'Users\Major Fubar\missions\Mission Name.Abel\description.ext.D': '|' encountered instead of '=' PLEASE HELP! Â

What kind of missions do you like?
Major Fubar replied to Shabadu's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Co-op I love co-op, playing LAn with about 5 or 6 buddies, whippin' some AI ass! Types of missions? I dunno, I have a fondness for "stop the convoy" and "assassinate the leader" type missions, if they are done well.
