    Im pretty sure that there is a major bug in the geometry of this chopper that causes it to turn on its own when flying straight and makes it impossible to land with the engine on. Â I remember your original version that was released a couple years ago had these same problems so I looked up the old thread for that one and found this post from that genius FlipeR: Im thinking this is most likely the problem with this chopper, which is otherwise an amazing addon.

    The model looks excellent MSpencer, sorry I dont really have any addon making skill or Id offer to help. One suggestion that I have though for lowering the poly count is to make the bottom of the boat square since it will all be under the waterline anyways, that should shave off a few polys.

    I think the problem with the Mig-23/27 Floggers is that the flares are way too effective on them compared to your other planes, making them too difficult to hit.  The missles are pretty good though, in fact I wish the missles on your newer planes were more like those on the Floggers.  The short range missles are ok, but in my testing your medium range missles (AMRAAMs and Alamos) hit maybe 1 out of every 10 to 15 shots at 500m away or farther.  They need to be a little bit more faster/maneouverable imho  Edit: Any chance of an F-14 Tomcat?

    Copliot config and animation

    Im trying to make a dummy copilot out of the first cargo spot (proxy:cargo.01). I have the proxy in the right spot but I cant figure out how to set his animation different from the rest of the cargo animations (if it is even possible). I want the copilot proxy to use the ManActUH60Pilot animation and the rest to use the default cargo animation, anyone know how?

    Thanks, that did the trick Only problem now is I need a way to hide the guns for the first 2 cargo slots, and have them visible for the rest. Anyway to do that?

    Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I found a bug: Whenever I try to put a game logic inside a vehicle (to fill up certain cargo spaces) while running ECP, OFP crashes.

    Not sure if this has been mentioned in other threads but it would be nice if you could change units behaviour, speedmode, combatmode, unitpos, and formation in the "edit unit" window instead of having to type it all in the init line, or doing it with a waypoint.

    Texview problem

    I am having an extremely frustrating problem with Texview all of a sudden. I moved the folder that Texview was in and Windows lost the file association for pacs and paas i.e. I cant double click on those files and automatically open them with Texview anymore. I have to open texview first, then open the files through texview instead of just double clicking on them in windows explorer. This wastes WAY too much time. I tried changing the file associations, but Texview wont show up in the list of useable programs, even when i click browse and locate the exe. Anyone ever seen this before or know how I can fix it (besides smashing my pc to bits which I was very close to doing ).

    I havent messed with any of the lods because the p3d is binarized, it is just a retexture of BIS' chinook. Â Thanks for suggesting the O2 forum though, i thought it was gone for some reason lol, Ill go post there now. EDIT: could a mod please lock this thread so I dont get in trouble for double posting

    I am having some trouble with my first attempt at addon making. Â I am trying to rexture a chinnok in army dark olive drab and it is coming out pretty good Id say for my first try: The problem is that every once in awhile the textures disappear in game or the old ones show up again. Â I have a feeling it is because there are different layers and I need to retexture those, but I dont know how to find them. Â I noticed there was 2 different versions of some textures with a t at the end of the 2nd version e.g. ch47_side_mid.pac and ch47_side_midt.pac and I changed both of them, but it still didnt fix the problem: Any experienced peoples out there that can help me?

    Well actually we need to be more clear about what chopper we are talking about.  Scorpio's is supposed to be a CH-53E  Super Stallion even though it doesnt have 3 engines.  The VBS1 chopper actually looks more like the MH-53J Pave Low from the Air Force, except for it has 3 engines and the Pave Low only has 2 (and I was wrong, the dimensions look correct).  Your chopper looks most like the CH-53E Super Stallion as far as the general shape, but it is missing the 3rd engine and refueling probe, and it isnt tall enough. I think the MH-53J and CH-53D are both a tad bit shorter in length than the CH-53E, but Ill have to research a little more to prove that. Here are the pics as I promised (warning large pics) Air Force MH-53J Pave Low  Note the way the back of the engine housing curves down sharply and the way the tail fin points straight out from the tail with no support brace. USMC CH-53D Sea Stallion Note that it is the same general shape as the Pave Low, though it lacks the avionics package in the front and the refueling probe. USMC CH-53E Super Stallion  Note the 3rd engine above and behind the front left engine, fuel probe on the nose, the way the engine housing has a gentler slope in the back, and the bent tail fin with the support brace. Edit: I think the noses of the Sea Stallion and Super Stallion might be shaped differently too, but its hard to tell And here are two pics to prove my point about Scorpios chopper being too big: Real CH-53E with people to compare height Scorpio's Chopper I think the picture says enough Anyways Shadows,  I think your model is the best one yet even though it is a simple mockup

    Oh there is no doubt that the stallion is a big beast, but Scorpio's just isnt scaled right, I think he might have used the wrong unit of measurement in O2. Give me a few mins and Ill post some pics to show what I mean And look at that comparison pic, your model actually looks the most accurate of all 3. The vbs1 model has some errors such as the back of the engine housing and the overall lenght is too short.

    Well I dont know how easy it would be but could you rescale Scorpios model? Just look at the pilot compared to the chopper in that pic, the chopper is friggin huge (too huge, I know they are really big in real life). For perspective, shouldnt the pilots feet be down in the bottom window, not in the top half of the middle window?

    Have you though about starting a new CH-53 model from scratch, if i remember right Scorpio's had some big errors and the dimensions were a bit off. And judging by your other models you are a more than capable modeller.

    on the roof. Â 1. You can assign 6 (six) game logic object as cargo for roof , if you want your troops be inside. 2. You can unpbo addon, trow in old BTR p3d file, and tweak the config a little. 3. Just skip this pack Number 3 is just not an option with all this new stuff I cant believe I didnt think of the game logic trick before, I even use it with the Urals and 5ts all the time, im an IDIOT *goes and bangs head against wall*

    1 question before I download this? Which cargo positions do the soldiers get in first for the BTR's, the inside or on the roof? The one reason I never downloaded the last update and still have the original version is because the soldiers get inside the BTR's first.

    T-90 tank addon, does it exist?

    How come EVERY single topic regarding tanks in OFP on these forums turns into a bickering match about what tanks are better in RL and what happened in Chenya/End. Freedom/Iraqi Freedom? And what tank would beat what tank under what circumstances? Sorry but its got to the point that I hardly ever view a topic anymore if its about tanks because everyone is the same exact thing. I opened this topic expecting to see discussion of a T-90 addon being worked on or ideas for making one, yet I read almost exactly the same type of stuff being posted in the "American Tanks"

    Awesome, thanks for considering my ideas. I figured that the F-16 could carry that much, but I was thinking more along what the normal loadout would be. Â Also as far as how it fits in with OFPs other aircraft, I was thinking the F-16 would be the lighter armed, but most agile and maneuverable fighter in the group. edited for sp mistake
