I actually think the cobra is the best in the game because the armament seems about equalt with the apache but the thing that does it for me is how much more visibilitly you have in the cobra and its a smaller targer from head on and behind.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has changed the model at all on any of the buildings or if anyone has a project right now dealing with it. I got some houses into gmax but I havent done anything. If its possible I think there should be some industrial and larger city like buildings. It all sounds good to me but I havent heard of any building that has been modified like that.

Well Benze,I hate to say it but I have seen F-16 protos with thrust vectoring. I doubt they will ever be in service though since thrust vectoring doesnt do you a whole lot of good when you can get shot down from miles away anyhow. If the USAF wants you shot down its gonna happen, our ground forces have their fare share of criticism but the USAF is capable of taking out just about any aircraft.

Every aircraft has probably had its accidents as a protype. I remember watching a show that had a Super Hornet or F-16 prototype (sorry can't really remember it was a while back) and it went into stall/spin and lost something like 8,000 ft atleast before the pilot regained control. The pilot couldn't get it to do anything so he let it spin and held on to the canopy handles and it finally pulled out of it after losing all that altitude. Another part showed some peice of metal fly off the fuselage and clipped the F-4 chase plane and it eventually caught it on fire and the pilot had to eject from the F-4. Im not exactly positive that it was aircraft was anymore but it was either an F-16 or Superhornet and both are considered great aircraft now. Well atleast the Americans consider them them great, I know all you anti-US guys will flame me and say they both suck... oh well.

I definetly have to disagree with you saying they ruined DoD with 2.0 . Just learn how to use the weapons (like the garand) and you realize that the garand is an awesome gun once you control it.

What if you want to play a LAN game with say my brother. We had to buy 2 cd's and I think thats crap. Well not exactly for just a lan game but when we would play in the same internet games too.

A helicopter throttle (collective) doesnt look like one jet. It looks more like a hand emergency brake in your car and to increase collective you have to pull up on it like you would to apply the e-brake. So either reverse or not its not really like a helicopter throttle. Just fly them alot and you will get used to it, maybe a little too used to it. When I got Fs2002 I had to reverse the throttle because I was so used to flashpoint, but no big deal. I think they make some joysticks that have collective attatchements.

Wel,l its good according to poll most people are staying with ofp. Im just getting bored of it and the only thing that was keeping me was the new vehicles and such for a while and I was looking forward to oxygen coming out so it kinda took a big blow to my interest. I havent even bother playing online lately partly becuase I hate gamespy and I dont like all the stupid bunker island map crap. Atleast they released Oxygen somewhat but I would have been happy if it was public.

Yeah you gotta have a huey if your gonna have US forces, I think we just gave 10 hueys to some country to help fight Al Quaida. Id be happer with a huey on all those seals rather than an eagle (yeah ive got problems)

Madmike you have to think about the credibility of BIS when you read what they say and once again by their latest public comment they have lowered the credibility once again. You can take what they say however you want I'm not your boss but I just wanted to point out to you if you didnt notice that they dont stick to their word very often. Personally I think atleast 2 of their decision in their latest post will be changed based on thier previous ones. Also if you were to look at a graph of OFP user morale you would see a big steep drop on Feb 28th and I think I dont think it will ever come back up to even half of what it was.

Screw it, looks like im not going to be making anything. Not that it would be worthy because I just started 3d modeling, but I would never release some stupid model I made unless I knew it was good and at this point I know my models arent good. The fact that you have to have your work reviewed and then wait for BIS's well known "speed" and their "honesty" it could be months and hell it could be never. Who knows they could change their minds again and say they arent even going to release it to the few authorized modelers. If I were a good modeler I wouldnt even waste my time going through this process. You guys are right you will filter out the bad modelers but you are filtering out the good ones as well, great move! We all know they wont change their minds in our favor they will just make it worse so there is nothing we can do about it. Also Maximus Max you are right about the dictatorship here but I was thinking they act more like a facist government (nazis filter out what they consider the less important people and so does BIS.

Half life itself sucks major ass, but if you get into DoD its really fun and far better than the game itselft not to mention its free.

I loved in Longbow 2 how your head didn't stay in the same spot all the time, ie. You make a hard right turn and your head would go to left some, I wish more games did that.

Hi I've never done any addons before or anything but i want to to change a p3d file to obj. I got the program that A lone Wolf made and I unpacked the data3d.pbo and have all the p3d's in a folder. When I run OBJ2P3d every file says invalid input type. So I got xpack and ran that on some p3d files and tried to convert those to obj and it still says the same thing. If anyone here could help me that would be great and dont get super technical I dont know anything about this stuff.

Cool thx that worked but now I cant get the OBJ plugins for 3DS to work i get an illegal operation now when i start it up.

Its starting to seem that the only soldiers that do any of the fighting now days are special forces, or what we call special forces. It seems in the US the Rangers have taken the role of a traditional infantry and I dont see how the Rangers or units like that are much different from the soldiers in OFP so I doubt the "Modern Conflict" choice would be much different from the OFP right now. Personally I want to see a WWII mod, and it can be island based too if you base it on the Pacific Theatre. However, when I picture WWII I think of destroyed buildings everywhere with the sound of mortars crashing down and crackeling machine guns in Europe against facists.
