  1. How dare you claim that ArmA 2 has bugs! :D
  2. There's some new in-game pictures on that article, thanks for posting! :D Hopefully someone will translate it, there's something about helicopter FLIR in the article.
  3. So, based on the initial previews/reviews, ArmA 2 is "good," but nothing too "spectacular," like what OFP 1 was back in 2001. Patience, young one. With great game comes great responsibility... Or patience, for that matter.
  4. Glad to see, but is VideoGamer.com a well-known website like Gamespot.com? EDIT: Here is the information for ArmA II on Gamespot. The highest popularity rank for ArmA II is 160, and it is on 247 people's wishlists. For Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, the highest popularity rank is 53 and it is on 1,761 people's wishlists.
  5. How dare you accuse BIS of being fallible. :D

Arma 2 helicopter wishlist for modder's

I'd prefer the AH-64D Longbow, it's more advanced than the AH-64A. The AH-64A was the old, original variant used by the U.S. Army. The RAH-66 Comanche was cancelled and only two were ever built. It'll be like having the XM-8 assault rifle in the game. Oh wait... :D A CH-46 Sea Knight would be better in my opinion because ArmA 2 has the player playing as U.S. Marines and not U.S. Army Soldiers, and the CH-47 Chinook is a U.S. Army helicopter. However, the CH-46 Sea Knight is going to be replaced by the V-22 Osprey in the U.S. Marine Corps and replaced the MH-60S Knighthawk in the U.S. Navy. Both the V-22 Osprey and MH-60S Knighthawk are already included in ArmA 2, so I don't think that a CH-46 is really all that needed. I agree with you 100% on having the CH-53 Stallion in ArmA 2. I'd love to see it in ArmA 2, as it's used by both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, which the player can both play as. Overall, nice list you got there, now all we have to do is wait for some really talented modders to make the helicopters. :)

    North America Release / Publisher

    There's always digital download... :(
  8. It was featured in ArmA 1, there's a good chance that it'll be in ArmA 2.
  9. I was a bit dissapointed by the news about the F-35B and Arleigh Burke-class DDG, but overall the preview made me want this game even more. :) Thanks for the info, Foxhound!

    When already.. WHEN!!!

    Post deleted.
  11. Nice preview, but it's from last year.
  12. Great work with the mod, thanks for all the effort you all put in. Just a few questions regarding the mod. First: Is it possible to recruit some people who are willing to do voice-overs? (Native English speakers.) Second: This question may have eben asked, but did U.S. Army Soldiers in the 1980's wear flags on their camoflauge uniforms? Third: Is it possible to provide a "tutorial" for people who have both OFP and ArmA to "transfer" the speech files to CWR? I was a bit disappointed when the dialogue scene at the radio in the first mission of CWC was cut out. Four: Is the CWR team planning to work with Vilas and his Project '85 mod? He has some fairly good addons. Again, great job with the mod and thanks for all the hard work that was put in.

The Crate 2 - an Armed Assault movie project

Nice use of the Postal 2 sounds. The music makes the trailer great. Excellent video editing, seems like a real movie trailer. The only downside is that you used the default BIS soldiers. But, the video itself is great. Looking forward to the final release of the movie!

    arma 2 360 questions?

    Go here, it'll help... Immensely. :icon_rolleyes: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=69893
  17. Indeed. It would be better than the current cover. Let's hope it's not final. Usually, games with photographs of real people are budget games. I was going through the OFP: DR forums, and one person said that the OFP: DR cover was cheap, had a "cheap looking grunt" which one just wants to "punch in the face." Same could be said about ArmA 2's cover.

    ArmA II: The Vehicles

Re-iterating on what Sparks50 said, Only the U.S. Army uses the MH-6, and Bohemia Interactive has nearly basically eliminated the U.S. Army from ArmA 2, which is a shame because ArmA 1 and OFP 1 featured the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Army uses really nice equipment.
  19. That's a very good sign, and it gave me a better impression of ArmA 2. Also, before that scene, there was a scene where the player shot at an enemy in a cross street behind some barriers. The enemy soldier kept running toward cover behind a house, which is very good. The fact that it was a February build was great news too. From personal experience in ArmA 1, after getting shot at, an enemy soldier would either, a.) Go prone 1-to-2 seconds after getting shot at, b.) Slowly pivot on his feet (as if he were doing some Michael Jackson dance moves) toward the player and fire around ten rounds, the last few killing the player.
  20. So the previewer is lying to make BI look bad?
