  1. Hello there,
     

    I am cautiously optimistic but I'm on my way back. Hard weeks are coming again for it will be the 2nd anniversary date of my friends death so I will not guarantee anything. However I feel the need to do something. 

     

    So it's nothing big, but something that needed to be done. Singleplayer scenarios are finally sorted.

  3. Hello there,

     

    327 days are passed since the last mod release and honestly I'm struggling to find the correct words right now. Another friend passed away last year. It dragged me down for months and it took me a lot of time and strength to get focused again. But here it is, the next major release of the GLT Mod for Arma 3. Of course the war in ukraine took some influence on the new missions.

     

    I'm dedicating the mod to my deceased friends now. They will not be forgotten.

    Hello everyone,

     

    It's been many months since my friend has passed away. Life was not easy, but my situation is currently stable. I realized later on that I am the only one who is left of my squad. I'm the last survivor. I feel a lot of pressure on me and despite all progress I'm pretty far from ok.

    Anyway of course the war in Ukraine put some influence into the missions that I created in the past few months. Let's just say Chernarus received some western aid in its permanent war against russia and the ChDkz separatists. I'm currently in the final testing phase for the next release. Of course so many things still need to be checked and possibly fixed. We'll see how 2023 is going to progress.

  5. History is only a repetition of events. I'm in shock and I'm shivering. Another member of my team died in a tragic car accident yesterday. He was a friend and he was like a true brother to me. More than 2 years ago his brother died in his arms in a car accident. I'm sorry but upcoming mod releases are postponed right now. 


    Always watch out for each other, stay safe and live your day like it's your last one (in a responsible way). Value the life around you and if it was a day that made you smile then it was a good day.

    944 days later ... I think it can become a name of a mission. In reality it took me this time to proceed with a lot of things in my life. I lost a good friend in a tragic car accident, I lost my brother, I had to pass the turbolences of the pandemic situation, I had to find a new job. Now I hope I reached some stability to keep going. Basicly I lost 3 years of Arma 3 progress and I feel like a beginner again.

     

    I dedicate the GLT Mod to my deceased friend Tobias. He was part of our crew since 2007. He was part of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). He was like a true brother to me.

  7. Hello there,

    I'm running into issues using the heliParadrop.sqf having RHS units, similar to previous posts in this topic. However I couldn't detect anything that might help to resolve the problem.

     

    • I'm calling the script via trigger: nul = ["paradrop_end", 2, false, false, 1500, 180, true, 500, 500, 5, 0.5, 100, false, false, false, true, player, false, "default", nil, nil, nil, false, false, ["customClass1"]] execVM "LV\heliParadrop.sqf";
    • I added a list of RHS men unit classnames to the arrays men[] , men2[], men3[] of class customClass1 in the config.aissp.hpp
    • I added the same men unit classnames to the array of _OFPmen in the LV_fnc_classnames.sqf
    • I added a cargo plane that servers as helicopter replacement to _OFPhelis in the LV_fnc_classnames.sqf

    The plane is spawning and flies to the destination. However no paratroopers appear.

     


  8. Hello there,

     

    incoming message from the survivor of some rough years. An update of the GLT mod is currently in progress. It will include a lot of fixes of things that were broken in the past few years. Release might be within the next 4 weeks.

     

    I'm sorry for the long downtime. A lot of things happened. I lost 2 brothers, one in a car accident, one by sudden death. Depression, job crisis, personal crisis, the list goes on. I survived and though a lot of energy was drained, I am confident of getting back in an active ArmA role again.

    for years I've been using this code in my init.sqf to check for ingame conditions.

    Since the last big game update it resulting into this error however:

    I checked the condition ingame using the debugging console: a = west countSide list trg1;

    Results:
    a = 0

    obj1 = true

     

    So apparently the condition is skipped because of the error and the code is executed before it should be. Can anyone confirm if this is an intended behaviour now or a game bug? What can I do to prevent this error? This is a very big issue for me as I'm using this code in more than 80 missions. Thanks to anyone in advance.


  12. Hey guys ... so I dragged my computer to my parent's place to update the mod 😄 I still don't have a DSL line (thanks to my douchy ISP), but I hope to continue with smaller updates in the future.

     

    2.00 (Build 2019.06.16) is now available on Steam. Despite some changes and fixes that were already done the main focus was to establish compatibility to BW mod again. Step by step I will reduce support for A2 ported content. I simply don't have the time and the skills to continue this. Besides that CUP, RHS and other mods are doing a job on this that is 1000x better!
