We definitely need traders because they would exist in a Ravaged world, love it or hate it. Like you said haleks, just needs a tweak. And yeah small quantities makes more sense. Keep up the good work mate, i can't stop playing! ;)

I really enjoyed reading that kodabar, took me for a ride back in time. :D I think the dilemma having traders in Ravage is the weapons etc they carry. In my earlier post i'd killed someone without realising it was a trader until someone kindly pointed it out. But until then it left me thinking it was a bug of sorts and it was just a bad guy having too many weapons. I think with traders as they are currently in Ravage they unbalance the game giving you access to weapons that in effect make you invincible with nothing to fear. I've been playing games like ArmA for what seems like a 100 years, yeah i'm that old. My point being in a short space of time i have weapons coming out of my ass and i'm already invincible fearing nothing before i've even come across a trader. I actually don't need a trader because i can quite easily bump off numerous patrols and end up with more weapons than the traders themselves. Each play through i'm dropping the loot % and before long i'll be hitting 0. Okay not that low but you get my point, i hope. Maybe have traders trading food, water, camping and health related items with very very limited weapons and weapon related items. I myself can live without traders as Ravage stands but i guess there are players who love or need them. It's why Ravage is so good, it gives you the choice having the modules you want or don't want. My final point with traders is once you bag one as i did you have access to the weapons etc regardless of having money. I didn't take any weapons at that time as i had too many already. Back to you guys ;)

@Haleks Since we can get water from various sources, how about random amounts of money from the ATM's. :D

    Ravage

@Haleks I think fixed traders as in a randomly spawning shed/hut/tent or whatever with a trader inside where you can do some trade. If you shoot the trader then no loot due to them being in locked crates/boxes, empty ones placed for effect. And trader disappears after you've traveled a certain distance away to simulate he's moved elsewhere. Just a thought. :D

Thanks for the reply, appreciated. Yeah it's your demo with just a few module tweaks basically. Yeah Ryd's camp is such a cool idea and would certainly be a cool addition of sorts to Ravage, some place to call home. :D

Ahh didn't think of that........silly me! :D Agree there should be a way to differentiate between bandits. Mind you i saved some money :D Now i'm the trader. If only. :D

@Haleks Forgive me if this has been brought up before but due to my age i tend to forget. In Ryd's excellent Pilgrimage he has an option to make a camp with storage and also made it portable in a vehicle to build elsewhere, will you have a similar option sometime down the line? Also i was playing earlier and came across a bandit after he met my bullet and in his backpack he had 4 rifles. Any chance of reducing the chance of finding so many or is that setting due to a module? I'm playing non stop and tweaking the module settings, got the loot module settings around 8% on the various items and dropping the %'s slowly on various items. The harder the better for me. :D One final thing i seem to be getting a lot of patrol vehicles, while i love shooting and looting them i just find it too easy getting a vehicle. I think i have 3 patrol triggers spread over Altis. I don't know how it's coded to work with your vehicles, is it one vehicle spawn per trigger or?? Or is it just a case of me removing a trigger or two? I'm using ASR Ai and i'm wondering if the vehicles are just heading to my location due to the ASR Ai scripts, i guess i could try without instead of bugging you...... ;) And just a quick thanks again as this has become an addiction for me, i've even given up drugs, alcohol and women to play RAVAGE! :D Zombies are in my dreams constantly! ;)

Being selfish and self centered won't help your cause, take a moment, sit back and appreciate what guys like LJ are doing for people like yourself. They don't get paid, they more than likely have a life outside coding for us mere mortals. And is it really that much of an issue downloading slowly on Armaholic? I download regularly and i'm more than happy to wait, it's the price i'm happy paying for being a tight ass, at least it's free. It's your loss! @LJ Don't let the selfish few ruin it for the majority on these forums that really appreciate your time and sacrifice you make to bring us the sounds we've loved for so many years. There's a lot of respect from people like me to all you mod makers and coders. Any future comments like the above just ignore them. Now selfishly get back to work!! :D

Like you i too have custom raider bases, looks cool. As for the single survivors i played a couple of games without seeing a single one but on the third restart i had 4 in 20 mins. Not come across traders in game though, not yet anyway. ;)
  10. The jumping fish and exploding barrels are atmospheric so wouldn't be out of place in TPW MODS and the beauty of TPW MODS is you can simply disable what you don't like. Perfect! :P @tpw If you think your coding is shit i dread to think what any coding attempt by me would be called, i'd take shit any day! ;)
  11. Without sounding mean or selfish i hope TPW says no. There's no point implementing them when they're already out there. TPW is all about atmosphere and that's what i love about it. Your suggestions would take it in a direction that would ruin it in my opinion. Sorry! ;)

I like it, now we just have to sell it to haleks or bribe him with some sweets! Question is, can haleks be bribed? :D
  13. Currently using this playing RAVAGE, works a charm. Thanks for releasing such an old favourite of mine Titi. ;)

Yeah i just think it's one part of the game that has no risk involved. The harder the better for me lol. Maybe a module or something or whatever haleks could do to make it optional. If you find a tent, sleeping bag etc it's just too easy to skip the night without the risks of the day. ;) It doesn't have to be losing gear but some sort of risk or penalty. :D Maybe if you sleep without a fire you lose some health throughout the night due to it being a cold damp night, just throwing ideas out there lol :D

    Ravage

@haleks I'm no scripting guru but after playing through a long night with no sleeping bag, tent and only a torch and rifle it got me thinking while i was plodding through the dark trying to find a bloody sleeping bag. I did find one eventually about 2am in the morning. :D Anyway back to my idea/request. Is there any chance of a certain % chance of losing gear when you're asleep. I just think once you go to sleep there's no risk involved as opposed to the risks that are there when you're awake. I just think it would add a little spice to the risk of falling asleep. And maybe if you have a vehicle a % chance of having that stolen with your gear in it. That's if you have it in the vehicle, unless you've taken the wheels off.......lol. After all there are raiders so why not have them steal your stuff. And another idea, option of stashing gear to reduce the % chance of having gear/loot stolen. Just a few thoughts. Loving how this has progressed haleks, it really is addictive! ;)

You seem to be missing the point, it's not just about spawn, loot buildings, killing zombies & ai, it's about survival. Can you survive the night, can you survive one night, two nights, three nights and so on. If it's boring you're in the wrong thread. Personally i love it, as each update comes flying out of Haleks's whatever it get's more and more addictive. Just ended another mission by having to throw in the towel as night fell and I was in a military complex, wiped out the baddies with some really cool firefights, but because it was pitch black and had no means of light, no sleeping bag etc and a bad guy outside the complex and probably zombies, that was it. I Facking loved it. Certainly not boring, each to their own i guess. So Haleks, really loving how this is progressing. I haven't been playing ArmA3 lately but jeez, RAVAGE has got me hooked. 10/10 ;)

@LJ Nice job buddy thanks for all your hard work and dedication. Appreciated as always ;) @Francisca Thanks for supporting LJ. Without your help and support we wouldn't even be here. I think we all love you very much
  18. @CUP Excellent job guys. ;) The only issue i can find so far is one i reported a while back regarding everything vanishing (trees, grass buildings etc) when about a metre inside the entrance of the high rise building, then reappears when almost out the door. Something i can live with but thought i'd point it out. Many thanks for your hard work, appreciated! ;)

    ASR AI 3

You should have a userconfig folder in your arma3 location and make sure you put asr_ai3 userconfig settings folder inside it. My example : J:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3\Userconfig\ASR_AI3 And you updated to 1.54, mine is 1.56 ;)
  21. @Greenfist Only just noticed this addon, installed it and it's really good mate. Took me a while to find the little button as your first post said bottom right but on my screen it was almost top right. Spotted it in the end. Excellent job! ;)
