    this is horrible, just horrible news. i think im going to cry now. Deadmeat, if you would be so kind to tell me why, please tell me why. Rangers use night vision goggles.. really cool ones.. and the only guys that could give the ofp community arnt doing it. ERRRR they could be just on the Silenced version of the rangers.

    Well, since JAM is being developed by BAS, Suchey, and myself, I do think it will be JAM compliant.  Good to see people are interested in the JAM project.

    i second that, but if all the rifles sound like the same shitty sound i will be very dissapointed. nothign worse than a great looking unit with a shitty weak sounding gun.

    And as for the M733, it did NOT have a removable carry handle.  Neither does the M16A2.  The first Colt with the removable carry handle was the M4.  That's why they had their Aimpoints on carry handle mounts.  And BTW...Deltas used a variety of carbines in Mogadishu, and in BHD. Not just the M733.  Look at the "Gordy Gun" next time you watch the movie.  The M733 has an 11.5" barrel, if I recall correctly.  Gordy's was 10" (or somewhere therabouts), and then his supressor.  Just my $.02...

    Well, there obviously is an M733 with a removable carry handle, otherwise how do you explain the photos of them?

    Also yes, they used a variety of weapons, many of which we probably dont even know about to this day, they could have had some early M4's or MP5's, or god knows what, the main reason i was trying to clear up that it wasnt a CAR-15 is DF:BHD, all the carbines in that game are M733 and yet are labelled with 'CAR-15', and every carbine in the movie, apart from gordons, were also M733's, and its not really as if people are getting excited over the real event, people want the guns, and anything surrounding the movie, as they have been made 'cool' by hollywood

    well isnt that the entire point of buying the game Operation Flashpoint and Delta Force: Black Hawk Down who would want to buy an "uncool" video game?

    ive seen the last pics on ofp.at and i noticed a differnt vest on the rangers.. some added straps on the legs (dont know what) and some other minor ones... i just have three questions to ask.

    will there be an US Flag on the Rangers or could you add one that is custom and isnt like 10x bigger than normal arm patches?

    and

    will there be animated night vision goggles on the rangers?

    and

    since the SOAR will come with crewchiefs and from what i understand about the last MH60 was that you were only making 12 cargo spaces.. where will the two crew chiefs sit?

    i believe i reality if ur crawling real slow looking everywhere for the enemy and u hear shots fired from a standing viet cong infront of u thats pretty dam badd its like they can distinguish u without lokking hard and they dont even make much noise wen walking

    was playing first stage didnt enjoy the gameplay the difficulty factor was wat made me continue

    I actually enjoyed it alot. It's not OFP, but for an immmersive Nam FPS, it's pretty darn good. Looks good, sounds better, the combat ambiance is great... the tunnels were a bore sad_o.gif

    I haven't had the time to finish it yet... I cheated and dl'd a finished game just to peek at the later missions, but plan on restarting at a harder level. Never played it MP though... probably fun. I really wish I had the time to update the Ia Drang maps forests to look more like the ones in that game sad_o.gif

    i wish you did too :-(.. and platoon is on TV right now... it hurts.. it really does to know there wont be another.. and ive already got those usmc choppers... they only hold four guys.. i need a UH1E the ones the actual marines used. or atleast a UH1D or UH1H with "Marines" on the tail could work too.. as there are little differences from the UH1E and UH1H.

    I just wanted to mention something that I don't think anyone answered from the original post.  Landwarrior said he wanted some USMC choppers.  Adammo made a very good  USMC UH-1C and UH-1C Gunship that a lot of people seem to have forgotten.  They were quite good in my opinion.  Those helis, the F-105 Thunderchief addon, one of the better F4 addons, the A-6 Intruder addon (what the hell ever happened to that addon update?), a retextured version of the F-111 addon, and I think the new C130 that's coming out should become part of a official NAM airpack (with permission from all the addon makers of coarse).

    We've had this implemented for a while...animated NV goggles on the SOAR pilots. Just haven't been able turn on/off the game nv mode.

    Why only SOAR pilots? Rangers use them too.. and they specialize in Night raids!! and in my opinion.. they look the most kick ass in them!! will they be on the rangers to in the (S) version of all the rangers.. without the boonie hats,or just put them on the regular daytime rangers.. we can have them propped up.. doest matter to me...

    now that jackal knows how to do it.. just ask him an boom wallllla

    this mite be a question but how do u add this to other SJB or BAS Ranger guys? and btw, jackal i liked your Special Ops guys.. i just wished they had helmets and chinstraps instead of boonie hats.. any updates in the near future?

    At present, it can only be used by the one unit that is added to the editor. I am still working on ways to have it so other units can use it.

    On another note, yes, an update for my SRT Pack is planned, but no date is set as other projects keep distracting me :P

    omg.. lmao i usually play as the officer, but from now on i guess im just gonna have to be the grenadier.. 24 rounds at my disposal?? this is incredible... i love you BAS :-)

    since your showing me this.. it wont be to much to ask for an ingame picture of just this ranger? IN DESERT CAMO please!!!

    The least they should do (and I have been asking for this since the beginning  mad_o.gif ) is different gear for different soldiers;

    -SAW gunner with two pouches for the 200rnd box.

    -grenadier with grenadepouches.

    -soldier model with standard gear

    -ect, ect

    At least Suchey was so kind to do this  biggrin_o.gif

    yeh... like ive seen some rangers with camelbacks.. and some with like real big GREEN bags on their backs.. with an M136 attached to it.. AT Soldiers carry big bag packs or something?
