    What I would like to know is how do I make a script that kills or punishes an individial that shoots at people in a safezone? It's all very well to stop them entering but I still get people who think they are funny and like to snipe into the safezone :/ Any ideas?

    Depends what you are trying to accomplish, we thought you wanted a safezone the enemy could not enter. If you make the trigger as described, and have On Activation : West Repeatedly then have "_X setdammage 1" foreach thislist etc it will definately work. Why you are having it set to "NOT PRESENT" and making it when they Leave an area I have no idea, but it doesn't fit in with your original request for a safezone.

    1.60 bug report, this since varius versions back..

    This has been attributed to lag, the cannon fires but actually only 1 sabot/heat round impacts target.

    Yes this problem happened for me on 24_C_PARATROOPERS, I fixed it by deleting the aircraft and also the pilot, and adding a new empty unit and new pilot, for some reason this resolved the issue.

    Jump on to Gameplanet's Dedicated Server and the "Hunt for Captain Willard" is on there, it kinda sux if u ask me though. There are more coops featuring Attack choppers on there but I don't recall the names right now. I will also be adding some missions that feature a lot more aircraft as mostly the missions there had been mainly featuring ground forces. Regards,

All you "l33t" guys think you know how it's done, sorry none of you are wrong, OFP has several hundred different ways for missions to be played and CTF and COOP are merely two of them. CTF is fantastic for developing teamwork and strategy, there is respawn so you lack the thrill of trying to stay alive that you get from playing a well made coop. It can be challanging either way and it is more important what you as the player takes out of a mission than being "l33t" and whatever the hell else you CS-now-OFP players do. And SGT KAMAI USMC I'd like to extend an invitation to Gameplanet's Server and I'd like you try and beat the coops on there without taking a beating If you are coming on our server leave your "l33tist" attitude at the door for some serious education.

    ROFL Make sure it's the short one noone likes Select Multiplayer menu of the OFP 1.60 and select "Remote" from the top right. (Or is it called Internet now? bah) then the browser will start downloading a list of servers. Make sure you run the 1.60 executable not the original 1.46. You must be aware that when updating to 1.60 your shortcuts on your desktop are not updated and still open the old 1.46 executable. You will need to create a new shortcut to the OFPMPTEST.EXE located in your \OFP\ folder. Then the server browser should work fine Maybe we'll see you on Gameplanet's Dedicated OFP Server Regards,

    Yeah, I have been making a Human vs Human coop.. damn it's difficult because you have to plan for every action a human player will take and it's hard to keep the storyline. Almost done though, I should have a couple out soon.

    You can also try uninstalling those via4in1 drivers, as i just started receiving that same problem and that's the only thing I have changed. Knew those drivers were nothing but trouble..

    Rage_Frost, Might I suggest if you are going to send emails directly to BIS, also post in the forums as it serves the other players to make them aware of bugs and the fixes for them. You sound quite happy that the developer let's your admin email him, I am happy for you, I hope it makes you feel complete. As for voice over net I was aware of one way to disable it but it caused very slow connection times. (I should of done it anyway as I'm getting very slow connection times with 1.60 anyway)

    Post the instructions from the readme and we'll translate them to basic picture-language for you Just make sure you install .PBO files in the ADDONS directory under OFP... And don't touch anything else, and don't delete anything, and don't touch your memory management settings

    Yeah well that is just the general chaos that evolves from having a server with no admin, can't really be helped. It's player's justice in those circumstances but it doesn't really benefit gameplay a great deal

Suma advised that this feature will be implemented later. We would of got the netcode a lot later if they had to design voice over sockets, before it was running using the Directplay, now they will need to license someone elses voice over net engine or create their own from scratch.. Give them a break, they are not taking anything from you. It is simply not implemented in this beta netcode test. I was not aware of a way to disable voice for dedicated servers in 1.46, I kept asking for one as that problem was plagueing me for a long time, and I am very glad to be rid of it in version 1.60. It is admirable that you are concerned about the OFP MP community and value your regulars, this is a period of change and once things are stable again you can expect a more consistant flow of players onto the dedicated servers.

    Wow.. a lot of strange posts in this thread.. 1) OFP is the best game I've ever played. I don't even play any other games now that I own it. Whatever BIS does in the future they have already done something they can look back at with pride. Well done. Special thanks to Suma for all his patience listening to our suggestions. 2) Resistance is being looked forward to by thousands of OFP fans around the world. For those who have helped BIS improve the netcode, thankyou, as they have used your feedback to make the improvements everybody is asking for. 3) Ingame voice means nothing to me, it has nothing to do with the gameplay that I enjoy. I actually am very happy that ingame voice is not supported as it was impossible to manage players abusing it. 4) People who compare OFP to games like SOF2 are morons. I would normally not bother to answer them but have you seen the missions involved in those games? Is the landscape ANYWHERE near as big? Do the bodies simply fade away immediately? Ask the developers of SOF2 why they would expect their to be less lag in their game. They will tell you "because our levels are smaller, missions are less complex, bodies disappear almost immediately, we have no vehicles, our game sucks" Well if they were honest that's what they would say anyway. BIS has provided the best support I have ever seen from a game company. The reason our fans are so dedicated is because when there is a gameplay issue, we know we don't have to live with it, we know it will be fixed, this gives us an expanded idea of the lifetime of the product, basically we know it will be more fun, longer, then any other game we have. SOFII is the most bugged game I have ever played, and Raven Software have not even bothered to release a patch yet, simply blamed all the problems on the player's hardware specs.     Actually I can't really see where you are coming from.. if you TK'd him back on my server I'd simply kick you aswell.. because you'd both be morons. Simply report the problem, if he TK'd he will be kicked, simple as that. You are part of the problem more than the solution mate. Sorry.

    He was doing both, using the forums correctly is the best way to get your problem solved. Trying to take advantage of the traffic flow of the GENERAL forum isn't going to help. The people don't go there to solve your problems.

    I'll upgrade all my missions to include timeleft.. Arghh i've just been lazy i guess, now I have to do 15 all at once. Don't think i'll have time to upgrade all of GP's 200 missions.. eek.

Ummm, I heard DarkPhantom going on about something, problem is I don't know much more details, and what mission is good enough to play all day?? I think I could design a mission that was based on an entire Island with so many objectives it'd take all day but not sure if that would be fun.. I'll talk to DP and get some details and post here later And if this is the type of stuff you want let me know. Always happy to add new things to the server.     Two players with same player id in one squad?

    I think it is definately worth getting a copy. I have two copies of OFP as when I get a second computer my roommate wants to play. I think I've already discovered this doesn't work but I'll bounce the idea around anyway.. If you create a seperate squad.xml just for him and store it in another directory in the same webspace he might be able to have a seperate profile..
