  1. I can do that, no major work involved. I may make the pink one for Resistance and the current texture scheme on east side.   2. Ok I will change the mounted MG. Other fixes in the works: Those damn windscreens. (Anyone know why it does that?) Side change to Resistance. (If it's Resistance then it can be used with east or Resistance). General model cleanup and cleaner texturing. Structural changes - axels for wheels. Interior cleanup texturing / faces. config changes for better AI. Once again guys thanks for the feedback.
  3. Wow. Tell me what you really think. I finished the beta last night and sent it to ofpinfo to get some feedback. I guess i was asking for it. I am sorry for those who are disappointed. The only thing I've made before this was a bayonet. But this isn't the final release and I didn't put it in ADDONS COMPLETE, because well, its not complete. I will put more work into the visuals and try and fix the windscreens, I do not yet understand why you can see through the windscreen in areas right through the car or the desert behind, I am still learning but its definately something I am aiming to fix. This is a beta though and I wanted to get it out so people could give me feedback and I can prioritize what I need to fix. I chose the kord simply because it was a machine gun I thought was well done and AKM74 gave me permission to use it. I am sorry about the quality of it but I must stress I sent this to OFP info as a beta with a readme that specified it was beta and that ongoing work was being done on it. I appreciate your feedback guys and will do everything I can to make it better. I will be changing it to side Resistance also. If the machine gun is really such a problem can anyone suggest a suitable mounted mg for a technical? Also I know it's ugly, the idea is that its all beaten up, it has metal armor welded on and its supposed to be for fun, what 'technical' has a V8 engine like this one? Kind regards,

    Ahhhh, people with low-end machines, ever the advocates of restricting anything that may force them to upgrade I have a question, in regards to texturing, do many of you create the textures from scratch or is there an online resource with a range of different textures? I am 20% through doing a Toyota hilux and in searching the net I have found very few images suitable of using for texturing (seems nobody likes to take photos of cars at exact angles, everyone wants the "sports" look)

    press 'a' then draw left mouse to create a window where picture will be loaded. then right click in centre and select 'load texture' make sure the size of the picture is a multiple of 8, e.g 128 x 256, 512 x 128, and so on.

    Yeah I don't know a lot about it but I'm just saying that it could pose a problem, for example if addons were originally constructed in a way that made these limitations and in OFP2 in order to have models that had no such limitations they had to totally change how they were made or their configuration. Hey who knows BIS may have already gotten beyond this stage of developement and it's a nonissue I am just explaining a possible reason for why Marek said they would "try" to keep old addons compatable rather than simply saying they would do it.

    Bare in mind that many existing limitations that most addon makers complain about (e.g only one active door gun on choppers, tanks cannot support commander machine gun) were limitations on the original OFP engine. Now BIS would be doing their best to overcome these limitations in the new OFP2 engine while at the same time providing backward compatability. In these cases I imagine if BIS had to choose between allowing backward compatability or overcoming the existing engine limitations I think they would rather render the old addons incompatible, and implement the new features in the engine. This means addon makers can take advantage of the new features to update their addons for compability and they also have the opportunity of adding new features, eg Huey's with two door guns I know most addon makers would prefer to have an engine without these limitations rather than have the limitations preserved in order to keep compatability.

The mission designers choose the area of their mission, having smaller islands means more missions in the same areas... this all makes no sense to me i'm afraid Unless you mean for those who still get lost in OFP, I would suggest learning navigation Personally I think the bigger the better, BIS should be pushing for larger areas of play not smaller

    If you have low detail settings and were under the assumption changing resolution was how to increase the graphics in OFP than even with a GF4 card you wouldn't see what OFP can do. And if it's a Geforce4 MX.. well.. Â I suggest upping the detail settings and having a look if this improves the graphics, if not check if you have the latest video drivers for your card, on high settings OFP looks very nice.
