Where can I download the giant mutant spider addon?
-
MMM so patch 2 does not fix the number 1 bug? Addon dependencies still screwed?
-
It is supposed to be possible, I have seen AI command other AI to do it. However I have found half of the AI command engine to be no longer working, it may have been functionality lost over time. I was in a tank with two AI under my control, and had another tank with 3 other AI in it, also under my control, and could not for the life of me get them to follow me.

High detail weaponpack v1.1 released!
Lt_Damage replied to InQUisiToR's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Question, does this pack replace the BIS weapons with hi-res versions or is it a pack of weapons that can be used in missions? -
wait wait wait Before we go down this path lets take a big deep breath and consider some things before turning all choppers into giant lag beasts. I have enough trouble already with the BAS choppers spitting enourmous amounts of FX out in MP Missions lagging everyone to pieces, with no way to disable it. I am all for adding FX, don't get me wrong, all I ask, is you take care that the FX can be disabled for use in MP where the lag can be a problem. Now I probably don't need to tell you guys as I have looked at your settings files and almost everything can be disabled client side, well done I hope other teams display as much forethought in future.

He has this problem immediately after a complete format and OS reinstall, unless spyware was being installed along with his OS updates
-
I have seen his problems, and you've seen it described above. We can rule out: Holding a button on the keyboard down or pressing a lot Group in which is player is in seeing a lot of action, (it's a constant problem, his ADSL Is choking from compensating for so many upload packets) it is not a mission thing. It is software independent, I am almost positive its hardware related, process of elimination my dear Watson.

Kquery4 - freeware replacement for all seeing eye?
Lt_Damage replied to theavonlady's topic in MULTIPLAYER
We don't need it as we have had our own program for the better part of 8 months ;) -
I can not begin to imagine why the client is sending so much data, it should not need to, I think this is something only Suma can speculate on. If it is constant 12kb/s and after connection, and happens even after complete OS reinstall and OFP reinstall, it MUST be hardware related. If it is it must be how OFP network packets are treated by your adsl router. Maybe if the frames being sent are too big they are being dropped and ofp is sending 3x as many packets to compensate, hense no bandwidth and constant use of upstream. If this is the case it sounds like MTU configuration for the hardware. What is your MTU set to for your modem? Have you tried adjusting it? Have you tried resetting your modem to the factory defaults and seeing if this effects your upstream use? What the hell is OFP doing with 12kb/s of data from one client.. makes no sense Â

You are being too kind blackdog GameSpy is right up there with banks and the taxman in my books.

I haven't yet had a look at the @ECP effects but I am looking forward to it. What I'd like to comment on is Goldmember and the ECP teams willingness to work together for the greater good, to combine the best of both their efforts and it is the OFP community who will benefit from this and I applaud. If certain other mod teams, maybe those who have been noted to be a bit up themselves, were more willing to work together with their peers they could achieve so much more. We can only hope Goldmember and ECP's first steps in this direction inspire them. After all you can only really use so many mods and the teams should work together to create the best.

Not possible. The messages that appear when a player logs on are defined in the server's server.cfg file. This file is simply read from and relevent information passed along to the connecting player. There is no provision for scripting of any kind.

Ogn aussie flashpoint mvp night this saturday!
Lt_Damage replied to Lt_Damage's topic in MULTIPLAYER
Kirov and Holzy made the biggest impressions for the night and as it was a draw we had to decide it with a sudden death round. We set a CTF to 5 mins and Holzy and Kirov set out hunting each other, in the remaining 30 seconds Holz nailed Kirov and it was all over. So congratulations Holz, well done and enjoy the speakers Stay tuned for the next mini-war, and a new prize -

Thread can be found here If you are having constant crashing try removing all NON-OGN addons and see if it works ok, you could be experiencing out of memory errors or a buggy addon. If you post your issue in troubleshooting with a few more details I'll try to sort you out. -
The money the US government actually gives NASA is insignificant, and nothing will benefit mankind more in the long run than continued space exploration. Think outside the square you live in because once you've fucked up that square and it's resources are gone you'll have to know what is outside it.

Then we'll see you there! For others remember to check your ping before you arrive, high pings will obviously be the first to go if the server fills up edit Also make sure you take the time before you connect to the server to run our automatic update tool, this will ensure you have ALL required addons before connecting. Note it currently does not support mod folders so it won't know you have the addons if they are in mod folders - we are working on it! You may also want to visit our forums to catch up on any last minute details. -

Ogn aussie flashpoint mvp night this saturday!
Lt_Damage replied to Lt_Damage's topic in MULTIPLAYER
I think we'll draw the line at 400/450ms. Certainly not dialup from international but extra bandwidth can compensate for an average ping. In short you are welcome, hope to see you there! -
Kinky

check your desktop firewall, make sure it isn't blocking OFP. Check whether you can ping that address ok.

Need a small short video just to see how it behaves, having a dog in the game would be so damn cool

The server is an AMD 2400+ with 1GB RAM, ASUS A7V8X motherboard with a WD RAPTOR 10KRPM 36GB drive. It runs everything else perfectly.

No issues until BAS island was introduced, MAJOR instability occurred on a normally stable box. Service constantly crashed until the box eventually died. Only happened on BAS island missions. Will have to get it restarted tomorrow and tell you what BAS Island is coming off within 2 minutes of the server being up.
