I'm sure his MOD is fantastic, everyone go download it now  What I'm saying is in the quest to add lots of "smoke, fire, and good stuff" try to only add "smoke, fire, and good stuff" where "smoke, fire, and good stuff" would normally result. I don't want to download an @ECP Update and crash my bicycle and be burned to death by the resulting hollywood explosion.  GMR made the explosions. the fire, the smoke the burning debris. and he made the various classes explode differently. but its not his fault that some brain dead BIS employ had teh brilliant idea to classify the bicycle as a "car"   its not goldmembers fault that BIS classified the bike as a car. he just made the car explode. besides. not to many ppl use the bike cuz it only moves 1m an hour  I didn't know the bike even blew up differently.. I wasn't accusing the great Goldmember of any lack of diligence in his addon creation.. chill out dude.. And lay off BIS, they have supported this game like no developers have EVER supported a game, they deserve your respect as they have earned it.

I hope you guys work on what you guys envisioned the FX to be like, rather than bow to the needs of a few people who are addicted to unrealistic hollywood fx. Maybe have something in ECP Settings: REDICULOUS_FX = False

Controllable chutes would be great, I hate drifting 5k off course when there is no wind in OFP anyway Question, are blood settings now local? I want 400 blood but I want the server set to 50 blood particles for the peoples with over-clocked calculators.

I was stuck with an AMD 900Mhz for a while when I donated my AMD 2400+ 1GB RAM system to be used as the server. Now I noticed I couldn't run things as good, duh, but not for one second did I think maybe people who made games should roll back to shitty graphics so it'd run good for me. Reality is games and other software will always require more of your computer as times go on and it is up to you to keep up, after all where does it say anyone has to give a shit about someone who isn't in a position to upgrade their computer.. nowhere. Such is life, deal with it. Don't ask people who want to push the boundaries with their creativity to hang back and wait for you to catch up. I ran tonal on the 900Mhz anyway.. sure it looked worse than Kolgujev but hey.. it was playable.

If you cannot run on Tonal with reduce visual settings you cannot run on Nogova, I see very little difference in performance between the two. Basically, quit bitching as most of us would like to move forward, not hang around at the ass-end of addon technology while you guys with overclocked calculators hold us back.

Why reinvent the wheel? If someone spends 20 hours making a really nice animation, why not let that be a resource for the community, to be expanded on, improved.. what you create for someone else you may find you need next week for another project, or someone else needs..

I wouldn't devote any time to it, you guys have a list of stuff you hope to achieve with ECP and this can go at the very bottom i'm sure.

I will help you dude.. what I don't know now I'll teach myself.. I have thought of a way to do the zodiack, just thinking of how to get in it while hoving over it, i'm sure its doable.. I have a lot on my plate, I admin the OGN Flashpoint server but I will help as time permits. Regards,

Have you been contacted yet Extraction? We need more mods helping each other, I see a lot of projects go begging as a few single modders work on their projects as best they can.. need to start sharing some talent. BAS don't make cool stuff because they have 1 talented dude rolling the addons out, they make cool stuff because they have a team.

Because desert island is the default that loads when OFP loads. Its the first thing a player notices that ECP has changed and as such it was done first, maybe they did not want to or had no time to do the other islands.

hey maybe i can help ECP with the anims? I can do anims but the probem is i am geting out for some weeks months because i got some bat health problems... ECP do not currently work on animations at all, I mentioned their team as they are currently "Enhancing" ofp in scripting and AI / FX areas and I think they could easily have a division improving AI animations. I think if yourself and hunter and the others good at animations get together and work as team in future you can form up with a team, such as ECP. You *DO* need to work together though, I can't stress this enough, BIS used motion capture for their animations which takes a lot of the pain out of capturing lifelike movements, you would have to do it old school style and many hands make light work. The idea is good, i like what you tried for with the animations but they need a lot more work, as it is in safe mode the gun shoulds sway from side to side while they run, not stay rigid.. probably very hard to do as BIS used motion capture, you'd have to create the body movement by hand.. Maybe just make some really good "soldier at ease" animations, slightly swaying side to side holding gun in the way you have it. Might be easy enough without mocap. Cheers for the hard work,

I think the few in our community who are talented at making animations should form a mod, maybe join up with ECP. As there are many aspects of the game that can be improved on and ECP is a way to channel and standardize these improvements.

I do a very similar thing, group them with an east leader then put "deleteVehicle this" in the east unit's INIT so he gets deleted when the mission loads.

I have no problem with that just wish the function that is supposed to disable these countermeasures actually worked. Makes it very hard to balance missions.

Does anyone ever read the readme? From the MH-60 Readme: The MH-47 isnt even capable of running the rotorwash and other FX scripts in MP without the mission maker activating them. And the OPFOR choppers use the excellent, and low-cpu rotorwash scripts from Vektorbosen. So unless you're running on steam, I cant really see what your problem is. As allways, rtfm... The manual was read, followed, proven to be useless, discarded. Next suggestion? I have put exactly as you have quoted in the init of the chopper and still it flared us all to hell. Anyway I don't care now, I don't use the choppers when i want lagless gameplay.

I would not upload it yet... I'm kicking myself for patching mine, I had it all fixed There are also script errors introduced now. Maybe someone in the software industry can share with them a QC testing process.
