Southeast Asians perhaps... You know the Bali bombing etc.

Are you playing with Direct3D HW T&L? If not then try that.

by the way this new review iss from a new version? cause i check the version by the ss and its the same as the gc06 versionI don't think that anyone but BIS has tried anything newer than the GC06 version.

Wow, astonishing. Â
Would you allow using them in missions ? Â

Thanks..
Well if you can find a place for them then you're welcome but they aren't really the kind of songs one would expect in a mission. Though I've been playing with a song which might be more suitable. It's just a rough idea so far but this is what it sounds like. The style reminds me of old Rambo movies.
@Herr Brennt
Different ones.. Reason 3 mostly. Unfortunately it's as free as Photoshop.

Doesn't client's lag have effect on vehicles they are driving? I've seen many times when high pinger gets in as driver the whole vehicle starts lagging, all players inside included.Yes.. and it seems to become even worse in tanks with a driver, gunner and commander as the ping seems to be multiplied. You need to have a quite good ping/bandwidth to be able to function well in tanks with other players. If you're on ISDN or something you usually lag the tank by a couple of seconds and if people want to get out of a vehicle you're driving it will take an eternity.

Isn`t It all about the sights placement? It should be moved a bit to the right (or left) to give you at least illusion of looking through the real ones. The right (or left) side of the screen should be blurred a bit, the rest is a matter of FOV and a camera setting. In my opinion that only makes it worse.. The so called illusion only leads to the view becoming skewed. You should imagine the sight ingame as what you see only with your right eye. As the right eye is perfectly aligned and of course centered the current sight view is the way to do it. The only thing we can argue about is whether the weapon should be closer or not.
-
considering this fact, position of the gun cant be wrong the only thing discutable here is the focal value (50mm is the good one) and of course the hand which is clearly not at his place. What would be by far the best is if you could adjust the distance to the sight by simply scrolling the mouse wheel. This would make the iron sight usuable for all kinds of situations. It doesn't sound like an impossible thing to add.

I soo envy you, never learned to play any instruments but the choice would´ve been a piano
Great playing Llauma!
I cant play the piano, or at least my hands can't.. I just compose it note by note sort of like writing sheet music.

Quite a few games have that really far-view iron sight that's often centered. I think it looks horrible, unrealistic, and stupid. Let's pray BIS doesn't engage in that folly. There's no other way to do it.. You don't have two eyes like in real life. Here's an example.. The upper one is more realistic of what you see when you look at the weapon with both your eyes but it's not really working ingame. You won't hit anything with it.

game on!

An adjustable scope,a new camera-effect or Photoshop gaussian blur?http://www.armedassault.pl/image.php?src=galeria/beta/abt_26.jpg
I guess it's a cutscene effect.

Not really. OFP's camera scripting is severly limited. That doesn't mean it isn't good when looking at other games. But calling it "limited only by your skill as a movie maker" is not true.
So tell me about the severe limitations in the scripting. Or are you talking about real life camera features and visual effects?
-
It's just a huge picture but the truth is that it's not that detailed. You can't see anything man made even with the 100% zoom. Play with Google earth instead.
-
A battlerecorder's functionality cannot be replaced by any amount of cinematic camera scripting.True but OFP allows you to make more advanced movies if you can accept that you can't use replays to make the movies.
-
Uh... how could you NOT find this out? It's so obvious! Â
Why is that so obvious? In the beginning of the development it sounded as if it was an expansion for OFP. After that it slowly faded into a full priced sequal.
-
hey i know this song was done by somebody for the game americas army but ide love something similar to it done for like main menu or something for armaI wouldn't expect rap in ArmA... Just listen to the OFP soundtrack, add a little more southern vibes and modern feeling to it and you'll get the picture.
-
By battlerecorder you mean a tool which records everything that happens during the gameplay into a replay file? I doubt that ArmA will have that. Though the After Action Review 3 (AAR3) module exists for VBS1 so it shouldn't be hard for them to add it to ArmA. I guess we just have to wait and see.
You can still make great movies if you are skilled with the mission editor and at camera scripting. Pretty much anything you can think of is possible. Combined with the AI scripting in ArmA you can be a true director of the movie. It's lots of work but the result is only limited by your skills as a movie maker.
I'm not sure but I think that ArmA will preload the intro's so you can make much faster camera movements and switches without losing frames.

Great!
Can't find any czech translators though. Can anyone translate the important questions? If there are any, hehe.
Relax colossus.. I'm sure someone will translate it in a few days.

I hope that modding will be made easier for newer people to start armed assault and get into the whole modding side of things. To become a decent mod maker in OFP takes alot of time and dedication and many people fail etc etc.So really I just hope to make it easier for newer people to be able to join in aswell expanding our ever loving communitee.

To become a decent mod maker you NEED time and dedication. If you dont have that then you better avoid it. There are no shortcuts.
The positive thing with ArmA though is that everything will be in English so you dont have to learn chech.

It just simply isn't even near to the ofp musics. I think they're "too modern" or something, but not even close to the atmosphere in OFP musics, which is sad. Â
Many of the OFP songs had electrical guitars and modern beats mixed with strings, and I'm not talking about Seventh's songs.
So far we've just heard a couple of samples from it. There's no point in coming to conclusions based on gut feelings. Ondrej is skilled at making those semi-classical pieces so I don't really see why he would abandon them. Even if the music doesn't please you it takes a few minutes for you to change the music to the ones from OFP.
-
Yes, you like the sound of it, but we are talking about the atmospherical musics, which this new soundtrack most likely won't give us.
So what's less atmospherical about the given examples? It's all about what kind of atmosphere you want it for. Don't you also think that they might have showed us the ones which felt new and tense instead of something which is just like in OFP? I'm quite sure that they will have more mellow ambient songs too.

That's because of the clipping issue.. When they have fixed it for the AK it will look much better.
