    Killing causes freezing

Unfortunately not.. This is also a forum for troubleshooting of the orignal OFP game. Anything concerning mods or addons should be directed to their own threads.

What do you *HOPE* will be in ArmA?

It's a terrible idea. So you wouldn't be able to see a sniper but he can see you? What about tank gunners or planes? The view distance will be longer in ArmA than it is in OFP. @mcnorth You can actually adjust OFP so it works with widescreen so I can't see why that wouldn't be possible in ArmA.

    Recoil in the new videos

I wouldn't expect anything more than semi-realistic recoil. The game is still a game and it has to please the mass who aren't perhaps looking for ultimate realism. Luckily we have a great community who can quite quickly come up with a small realism patch for the game. I wish we wouldn't have to but they can't make a universal setting which would please all the players. The FDF mod handled it best of all OFP mods. The weapon sway was quite heavy and the aim didn't zero after each shot.

    Military Coup in Thailand

It wont, since the roots of it are older than the aeroplane! Is that the worst you can come up with? Aeroplane? Hell it's older than agriculture. Talking about the sex industry. A friend of mine was in Thailand right after the tsunami to take pictures for some newspapers and the sex industry was back to normal before the streets had dried.

    Confirmed release dates and countries.

Even if it concerns ArmA these forums aren't meant for commercial ads. You are also trying to sell a product which you're not even sure exists. It's also questionable if your allowed to ship a game to other countries if some publisher has gained the rights to publish it. The world isn't an open market. I suggest you investigate it further and make sure that the product is what you're hoping for before you begin to market your business.

What do you *HOPE* will be in ArmA?

If I understood it right MBT's dont have interiors. All the other vehicles do. Where was the information about MBTs not having interiors from? Â If this is true, then would I be correct in assuming that they are intended to be used in third person view only? I would be very disappointed if this is the case as I have grown very fond of how armor is currently simulated in OFP (of course improvements are desired such as the inclusion of laser range finders, etc.). Â This would change the nature of multiplayer gaming. It's a statement by the BIS guys.. I suppose the vehicles are intended to be used either in 3rd person view or through the driver/gunner/commander views. What this simply means that you can't look around inside the MBT as you could in OFP. It's a shame but not really a big deal.

    Damage System

In OFP you cant walk if you get hit in your legs, your aim gets much worse if you're hit in the arms and you will most likely die if you get shot in the head of upper torso for that matter. You can also disable the on screen crosshair which forces you to use the sight. Of course you can shoot from the hips if forced to but it's only works at very close ranges.

What do you *HOPE* will be in ArmA?

As in leaning? Not only has it been covered but it's also in the game. @MAA3057 I've heard that the vehicle suspension is better but dont expect any new physics engine, merely a modified OFP engine.

    Evasive Moves?

Maybe your aim will be worse for a while.. Throwing yourself down like that has to hurt your knees alot hence the pain affects your aim just like heavy breathing does. It also adds variety.

    Evasive Moves?

Yes.. and it's not the same as the standard 'go prone' move.

    ArmAs Cover Art

You have done a tremendous job creating a high quality cover but the front is quite bad in my opinion. You should decide whether you want a black cover or one with a background picture. Dividing the front in half looks just weird. This by BIS looks nicer.

Jets - Schenker 2 - 1 The final game of the season ended in a narrow win but we should have scored many more goals.

    Confirmed release dates and countries.

Idea based of what? A guess based on which games they have released previously? They distributed H&D2 by Illusion Softworks who are now working on EiS. It's much more likely that they will distribute EiS and if they do then they wont bring in a new game which competes with EiS.

    ArmAs Cover Art

It might sound silly but I think that people would be confused if there were two different colors. Understanding the reason for it for the Black & White game is easy though.

    ArmAs Cover Art

Exactly.. When I see that cover I get interested in picking it up and checking the backside of it. The white one looks great too. The logo itself is too complicated as a game logo but it's great as cover art.

    ArmAs Cover Art

The proportions and alignments are quite rough but something like this would be the best in my opinion.

    Explosions

That video shows a Javelin hitting a tank stuffed with explosives. Not a very good example as it's very exaggerated.

Microsoft kills mod for c&c generals

You got to be stupid to base a mod on copying a best seller game without first making sure that it's okay.

Are nights in black and white?

I actually have to agree with GranQ.. I really do prefer OFP without the night shader. Of course if BIS manages to to fix realistic colors for areas with enough light then that's great but if they dont they really should make it an optional setting just like dxdll made it.

    Fences (prolly silly idea)

You could also simulate it for all fences by making a small script that sets damage to the fence when you get close to it and choose the option from the action menu. I did it once and combined it with the medic animation. Sure the whole section of the fence will fall down but it's better than nothing.

    Tonal Update

Aren't you connected to the bushfires mod so couldn't you add some of the models from it? I haven't heard anything about it for a while so it would be a shame if the models would go wasted.

    The Art thread

I'm sure there's a market for your illustrations as they are superb. I was more refering to this in general. Most people simply do it because it's fun. There are markets for other areas too such as bird illustrators etc. Those are generally done by real painters but I am sure that you could do it with the computer too. I actually prefer to watch at good illustrations rather than pictures. Mainly because you get a consistent look to them. By the way, how are your illustrations doing? Have they been featured in any books or magazines?

Why do you play OFP? I'm sure that they do it because they think it's fun and it improves their skills.

    Tonal Update

Well they all have your heads on them so much of the credit could extend your way Nah, making the model was a tiny part... It would be nothing without the superb work of many. It has actually evolved just as I had hoped with people making modifications to the model but sticking to the new texture standard. I just had a vision and a model. Other people made it come true. Offtime was the one who initialised the project by creating a script, good textures and combining it with an excellent model. It was a little frustrating though.. The truth is that I don't know anything about modeling. All I know is what a head looks like and then I tried my best to copy it. All of the points have basically been added one by one in O2. Sure I had a rough model I made in 3ds max but I doubt that anything of it remains in the current model.
