Looks great.. I like the style you're doing. The OFP engine is quite limited with modern standards but you've got a great balance and consistancy to your models. I can't wait to try this.

We're talking about real football, at least what most people around the world considers to be football. Though I suppose American football is a part of the football family, historically.

Too bad you lost Martin Ericsson to BIF.. By the way, he started his senior career in Brage.

That's my team. IK Brage from Borlänge, Sweden. They have a great history which includes European cup games in the 80's against Inter Milan (1-2, 1-2) and Werder Bremen but they are currently playing in a lower Swedish division. They have been troubled by a relatively large debt but it seems like they've managed to take care of it. The team consists of mainly younger players. I believe the average age is around 20 years. Last year was mediocre but this year they're at the top of the table. The future looks fairly promising. The key players are Niclas Olausson, a 18 year old offensive midfielder who's been representing Swedens U-18 team. He was invited to train with Fiorentina the last winter. Alin Vigariu, a Romanian winger from the FC Universitateta Craiova has been very consistent and a great role model for the youngsters. Other players worth mentioning are Colo Halit who attracted the interest of bigger teams a couple of years ago. He's been invited to Man Utd a couple of times to show his skills. Kebba Ceesay, a 18 year old central defender was recently brought to the senior squad has been very impressive. A few Swedish top teams have shown some interest.

Why not colorize it in PS? I made this example in a couple of minutes. By the way, you've got plenty of talent.

Hola, Some good news before the less good ones. The head model is ready and I have made ten lods for it. I guess no one will be using all of them, but it allows you to pick the model which best fits your lod. The current issue are the textures. The old head uses textures which demands some heavy stretching to fit. The main face fits better than before but the ear and hairline around the ear is quite bad. There are three options: 1. Make the model after the texture, but that will end up in a weird looking head. This also requires that I will keep on working on the model. 2. Stretch the textures and tilt the gizmo to make the ear placement better. This will mean that the main face mapping won't be as good and the stretching of the texture will look ugly, and it will make texturing new textures harder. This also requires that I need to remap the head and then do some stretching. 3. We adjust the ear and hairline placement on the textures to get a perfect fit. How long this will take depends on how many works on modifying them. I guess I could modify a few per day so with some aid it won't take many days. So addon makers who uses the old head or are interested in the new one, please gimme your oppinion on the issue. If you prefer the third alternative, which I personally prefer then I could release the new head before the end of this year as it's mapped and everything. I just need to do some face animation tweaking. I would also release an accurate UV map of the head which will aid the texturing a lot. I have one final question. It's more of a performance issue. I was thinking about the lower half of the texture layout which was originally planned to be reserved for arm textures. How many addons makers are actually using the lower half? If no one is doing that then I suggest that we cut off the lower half, if we still are gonna modify the textures. As many addons are using the old head and the facetex pack I suggest that we create a version 2 of the facetex pac so we won't ruin any released addons by modifying the textures. Finally here's a comparison between the old and the new head. The new head uses a texture I quickly modified. Edit: Thanks Ralphie

The zoom isn't mainly for you to see your target better but for you to zero the aim at the distance which your target is at. Making the iron sights adjustable shouldn't be hard. Adjusting the aim to compensate for the wind is pointless as the bullets wont be affected by the wind.

Billy Bragg is great. Especially the 'Talking to the taxman about poetry' album and the 'Between the wars' EP.

Perhaps they are gonna add some kind of rotor effect instead of the blurred textures we have in OFP.

It's also Hitlers birthday... I see a conspiracy

Not my cup of tea but it's quite nice.. Though the songs sounds almost identical.

The nice thing about the first pic is the TOW(?) launcher on the wheeled vehicle. That's at least something new.

Damn post you need to change your face. I can't have a freaking monkey as my right hand man.

BIS already said that the oceans behaves according to the weather. So it can be stormy or calm, and everything in between.

You should check out the stuff Frank Black did after the Pixies broke up. Teenager of the year (1994) is imo one of the best albums ever made. I agree.. It's better than anything The Pixies made.

And the server is back to summertime so the game's on.

That's not really true. ArmA will offer everything OFP has when it comes to realism, most likely even more in many aspects. Sure, OFP was as close to a mil sim you could get back in 2001. The difference is that we can except much more from a mil sim now, but ArmA isn't a mil sim. The gfx engine is still far superiour to the old OFP engine. Even though OFP has some high poly/res addons they will never reach the level possible in ArmA. The game will probably perform much better than OFP too. As Game2 will offer a totally new engine it would be stupid of BIS to create lots of new features for ArmA which still has to be remade if used in Game2. The reason why they decided to release ArmA is because they figured that they can't make a completely new engine for each game they release. So ArmA will be based on the OFP:E engine. Even the tiniest changes might 'cause huge difficulties so they won't do that unless it's absolutely necessary. On otherhand, now as ArmA won't be as revolutionary as OFP once was it will have some competition from other games such as Enemy in Sight. I still do believe that ArmA will offer most realism of all the games available but you can never know what some good modding might do to a game like BF2.

The conclusions I make from that article is that ArmA simply won't be any more realistic than OFP. They wont add multiple gunner positions, realistic damage models, more advanced physics etc. So they call it a mainstream game so that people won't be too tough in their reviews when it becomes clear that the game isn't as near as realistic as a mil sim should be in 2006. On otherhand, it was quite expected that ArmA wouldn't offer more realistic vehicles and damage models, judging by the released screenshots. It's OFP:E with the game2 gfx engine + some other game2 features. I'm sure that the OFP fans will still love the game but it won't be a masterpiece like OFP mainly because they are holding back on many of the features. Game2 is still their first priority.

Nothing new.. Simply all FDF and Kegetys releases, nothing else.

I really doubt that they will release a public beta mainly because the game isn't really that much different to OFP:E. A feature demo might show up when the game is released. -
I think they should continue the trial even though he is dead.. After all people are innocent until proven guilty(?) so if they drop it here can we really consider him as guilty? The trial wasn't just to make sure that he got punished but also for the victims to get justice and recognition.

Either the host is dead or the links are bad 'cause they aren't working.
