Doesn't matter what patch or upgrade I get...I still get this "campaign.pbo" message or cannot memory-map file"dta\data.pbo" whenever I try to connect to mp. Never have got to play online and I'm getting more and more fed up

I have had this problem ever since the game's release...I have never yet been able to play online with OFP although I can connect easily with other games. I have consulted Codemasters and tried their advice, uninstalled, reinstalled, patched, prayed and cursed but nothing ever gets me beyond the "waiting for server" and the "cannot memory-map file dta campaign.pbo" or similar! Part of the appeal of this game is to play online against human opponents and I despair of ever getting there. BIS please, please help. AMD Athlon 1Ghz Processor 256Mb SDRAM M/Soft Windows ME nVidia GeForce2 MX 32MB Cable connection McAfee Internet Firewall ( set to fully allow) I can't go on much longer.

I just replied to Marshmanguy on this page who has the same problems as us. I have tried almost everything except moving the mpmissions folder...I'll give that a go but I'm not holding my breath. As I suggested to Marshmanguy..if more people with this problem emailed Codemaster's tech help site asking for help they might actually do something about it as it's obviously quite widespread. They told me to uninstall/run scandisk/defrag/reinstall etc but NOTHING HAS WORKED! I'm getting so frustrated as I was really looking forward to playing online. Aaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

p.s. I also get error messages occasionally like: "cannot memory-map file 'dta\data.pbo' Soooooooo frustrating!!

I have exactly the same problem as you!! My pc has a McAfee Internet Security firewall, a cable connection and I'm running v 1.4 ( not downloaded new patch yet ) and I have never been able to connect to a game since Sept when I bought it. I emailed Codemasters and have done what they suggested i.e. uninstall/run scandisk/defrag/reinstall etc etc but still no joy. Maybe if you email their tech help too they might realise that it's a problem that quite a few people have and they might bring out something for it. Good Luck ( I'm still trying to work on it ).
