For as much as I know here in sweden we use the Berret .50 cal to destroy mines or to shoot at the crew in apc´s. Its not used to shoot at people but I believe that US shot individual important targets during Operation Desertstorm from ranges over 1000 meters. And, I believe that even if you can penetrate the armor of a MBT its qite hard to actually hit the crew. I dont know if what Im going to say is correct but anyway; I have heard that if you shoot 20cm from a persons arm it can get ripped of due to the pressure that the large highspeed bullet makes. Now if its true... thats nasty!

Note: I have not made another texture due to the problems with the model in the game. I have a texture almost ready but I dont see any meaning with it if it doesnt work in OFP

Excuse me but that m4 is my model! I made it a little while ago and there are some problems with it. It shoots 90 degrees to the right. That problem seems to come up when I export it from 3Ds MAX to .obj . It doesnt matter If I have changed anything on the model or not. If someone knows how to fix it I´m happy for any help.

That is a thing we will have to take if we are going to make mods. What we can do is that we use a site like OFPEC or OFP network´s editing pages to host the good mods.

Hi I´m thinking of buying a new gfx card. The choice is between Elsa Gladiac 921 DVI, Asus V8200 GF3 Ti500 and ATI Radeon 8500 All in wonder. I would like to know if someone already have ATI Radeon 8500 and how it runs. Is it good with OFP, any problems and so on... I know there has been some problems with ATI gfx cards so thats why I want to know. Thx for any answers.

I have had Win98, Win ME, Win 2000 and now finaly Win XP pro. Win XP is the best and most stable OS I ever tried, win 98 and win ME are useless. Win 2000 is stable but it can crash and there are some problems with drivers for gfx cards and games. I have had Win XP for almost 4 months now and Im pleased. The only "bad" thing with XP is that it takes a lot more performance than the others. Thats because they have made a "good looking" appearance but thats easy to fix. OFP is running smooth and nice at 1024x768x32, I can have higher res but its just so hard to see things then Finaly my system if anyone think thats important information. AMD Thunderbird (Athlon) 1.4 GHz (CPU) MSI K7t266 pro (motherboard) 512 MB DDR RAM Asus V7700 Deluxe GF2 GTS 32 MB (gfx card) Soundblaster Live! 5.1 .... something.... (soundcard)

Yes, we can finally make new addons

When you import the .obj files into your 3d program there is just one object. That objects faces doesnt have different material ID´s or anything so I believe that there are some important things missing when we import the models this way. If you look at the textures for the UH-60, there is not just one texture... there are lots of them. What I know is that you must have different material ID´s atleast to be able to have more than one texture on one object. When it comes to making new models I´m not quite sure yet of how to do that. I dont believe that you just can open up a model from OFP, delete its object and create a new one. That is just as good as making a new scene and a new object and then export it. I think I have seen a 3D program (image) that BIS uses, I think that they assign physics to vertixes, like weight and so on. Well folks.. Thats just what I think... we better stick to reality and wait for the official tools. -

Hi, Is there a way for me to activate a script if anyone (without having to specify that unit) gets hurt? Normaly I execute a script with; [person1,person2,heli] exec "script.sqs" I would like to know If there is a way to have a parameter for anyone in that line to make it work like the support function in OFP. I dont want to write those lines for every guy on my map. The script I want to be executed is a SAR script. It sends a SAR helicopter for emergency evac at the designated MIA. Please help me with this, I would be thakfull for any help from those who knows what they are talking about.

I cant believe my eyes.... What are you thinking when you say that Devils addons aint good or "do something for the community". You people S¤CK. If Devil make an addon, he makes it because he want to and we should be thankfull to everyone who share their addons with us. SHOW SOME RESPECT PEOPLE!!!

Hey guys... They have allready started releasing their SDK. Look at the editing section at flashpoint1985.com and you will see that there are tools. My guess is that they are smart by releasing one tool at the time. Finaly I hope we will get some exporters for 3d models and maybe will be able to make maps (islands). No game will ever survive without giving the editing fans something to play with Just look at the great games as Thief, Thief II, Rouge Spear and so on... All of those games have survÃved in years because they released editing tools and plugins after some time. OFP is still a young game so we can only hope that BIS is smart enough.

The things with gun in hand is when you aim. If you set your team to "danger" (combat) behaviour, they will aim while walking slowly forward. This is how I understand the behaviour commands; Stealth = Your team will crouch a´lot and stay down. Danger = Your team is ready for combat, they are alert and walks with their gun up ready to fire. Aware = The men in your team will have their weapons in their hands to be ready for action though there is no threat present. They act more relaxed then in "Danger". Safe = At ease soldier... No threats, probably at your base or at a camp where its all clear. The weapons hang on the back where they do no good. Note: The men in your team only puts their weapons on their back if you do.
