    We are a tactical gaming community from Latvia. Formerly know as -=Ronin=-

    After a long period of silence and inactivity we have re-established our website and forum (our headquarters)

    and now we're looking for new recruits to replenish our strength and numbers as we are near extinct.

    We're only looking for flag_lv.png Latvian gamers who are mature for tactical gaming and are looking for serious fun :)

    We used to participate in PvP leagues and we did very well (our trophies), but now we're looking more into

    Tactical Co-Op type games.

    Well thats true, software recording does decrease the fps quiet significantly, although now I feel like the 20 - 30 fps feels more playable than before with lower hardware and settings.

    The only noticeable problem now with arma is the weird low texture swapping.. no mater what settings I select the texture it always seems to go very low texture quality in few secs.

    btw I just installed metro2033 and gave it a spin, all maxed out 20-30 fps.. and you know how demanding that game is. I'll make more videos soon.. so check or subscribe to my youtube channel if you plan on buying a similar rig. ;)

    Hey.. so I finally got my new system setup and I did a few arma 2 benchmark tests.

    FPS might seem low but the gameplay feels smooth. There are still fps drops with smoke and explosions.

    Operating System: Windows 7 64bit

    Motherboard: ASUS P8P67-M PRO

    Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K CPU @ 4.80GHz

    Memory: Patriot Viper Series 6.00 GB

    Hard Drive: 40 GB, INTEL SSD for OS

    Hard Drive: 30 GB, OCZ VERTEX-TURBO for ARMA 2

    Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570

    Monitor: Philips 24 widescreen 1920x1080

    HAF 932 Case

    Thermaltake Frio CPU Cooler

    Hey Kenwort, what's the story behind that kewl pic you posted of a huge screen in a gun room, was it Pshopped or genuine?

    Yes the pic is genuine. If your wondering about the guns.. they're airsoft guns. And I wish my desktop was similar.. although I'd have a much better keyboard, lol.

    All air vehicles have a shadow bug over sea. Only the units are visible in shadows.

    Similar shadow problem. No shadow in 1st person. Shadow in 3rd person.

    Units feet are in ground when looking on them from far distance trough scope.

    Anyone else seen them?

    VGA: GTX570, latest drivers.

    EDIT: OK sorry for this post, the first two bugs are already reported. But I couldn't find the third bug.

    Keep in mind that ATI has some problems with their drivers. I had 5850 and two monitors, had a common flickering problem with them. Also I got a lot of BSOD for unknown reason not sure if it was overheat or just the bad drivers.

    btw I got my new GTX 570 and it runs amazingly smooth! Also I think A2 now looks much better. Check out some screenies, click here.

    Ahh just finished the campaign! It was very well put together.. tbh at the beginning I thought it would be just the CDF side, glad it wasn't :) Wished there were more missions though. Anyway.. good job! :rthumb:

    i just ordered my new machine and it will be here soon. id like to thank BangTail for the advise on holding out for sandy bridge. my fear was price but BangTail was right, the cost was not much more than the i7 i was planning on.

    anyone with a similar rig that can give me some feedback? should i expect decent/playable fps on highest settings?

    I'm ordering a similar rig very soon... First I thought I'd also order i7-2600k and GTX 580 but then after some research I decided to stay with i5-2500k and GTX570. There is a big price difference here in my country.

    And now with the spare 300$ I save I'll be able to buy OCZ 30GB Vertex Turbo Series for the OS, Heatsing for VGA and some more Fans to create a nice organized air flow in my case. :yay:

    I would like to ask something. One of my freind wants to make a video but gets some weird flickering when the camera is attached to a plane.

    Does anybody know how to get rid of this?

    Is he attaching camera? Try attaching a unit. I prefer to attach a bunny :)

    btw check out this vid. Not sure if it was posted here already but it's really worth watching it again if it was here already.

    Yeah sorry.. I'm sharing this server with my other websites that are draining all it's resources. Will move it to a new separate box in near future.
