    ArmA Graphics Problem

This might be caused by overheating, but also by overclocking. Can you check the temperature of your GPU? and also, do you overclock it?

    7900gs 512 or 1950 pro

well I'm very happy with my x1950 pro. I run arma with these settings: screenshot of settings I didn't play much with the settings, don't know if it can handle more or not. My framerate is between 35-45 although it can sometimes drop to 28-30.

    Got some ATI problems

at ati.amd.com you have a specific driver for the mobility that also should work. Although you indeed have to use the mobility radeon and not just radeon. So how is it going, any luck with the new driver?

    ATI v Nvidia in Arma

pretty weird indeed. Is it originally dark or pale? I suppose dark? I don't know what it might cause though edit: typo

    Got some ATI problems

I just sayed that your card is below minimum requirements, so there is a possibility it just not might run decently at all. Is your screen filling with the crappy pie chart(I love the description ) instantly or only after a certain time? Also the thing that didn't help you at all was just to say you have only the choice between ATI/NVIDIA. ATI isn't a bad brand. I had also good experience with it. You just happen to have a cheap graphics card(and it's also in a laptop so performance is even lower this in exchange for better battery life). To disable auto-install, you could go to your control panel, administrative tools, then to services, there you have to look for plug and play, right click properties, put that on disabled. Then uninstall driver, reboot, install new driver, put the service back to automatic, reboot and it should be done

    Got some ATI problems

So you are blaming ati for a windows problem? You should try to install the new ati-driver over the old driver. Also note that the M X1300 is also below the minimum specs. This means you should put everything on the lowest to start with. ATI is a good brand, but you only have to buy a more powerfull one , of course there is Nvidia aswell. Choice is up to you.

    still cant run the game

if you want some help, some additional information should be given like: do you get an error message? full systems specs(+driver info), windows version,... if you want a refund, you should go to the publisher, or the store you bought it in.

    Adjust  joystick forcefeedback level?

Well I think not that many people had the game back then (or were constantly playing:) ) Perhaps you better put it into the wishlist? http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Wish_List I have no problems with my logitech force feedback, I just had to adjust because it was too strong at start(so a bit oppsosite) Nevertheless, it's always nicer if you are able to configure it in game (if possible). Then you don't have to mess around with it if you play another game.

    ALT-F4

well it's a standard windows-key combination. You can disable it by using some program for example: dwinlcok

climatic changes, what do you think about that?

Just like any other life before... also 300 years is more like 10 generations. We are all speaking of accurate data here. But even the graph is not accurate. How can we base global warming on something that shows only 400k years while earth has had at least 165 million year of life(and so also a lot of changes). Lot's of life has stopped, new has come. Don't forget that earth has been warmer then today, even the oceans have been higher then now. but still life was possible... Now if you know that the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is about 0.035%. Is it possible that a "small" change can have such a huge impact on temperature? Somehow, nobody ever discussed differences in space yet, although I mentioned them a couple of times. They are rather useful. For example when comparing venus and earth. Venus' atmosphere has almost 100% CO2. Although, it isn't 10000 times hotter then earth. Venus is an example of how it went wrong, as there is nothing left of water that once was there.(And don't say woman came from venus and industry was incredibly advanced, but that they produced huge amounts of CO2 which caused venus to become uninhabitable) An interesting site perhaps: global warming on venus in perspective Fact is, every planet, everything is still changing. In nature there is no constant.(There is perhaps for a certain period, but it will always change) And fact is that no scientist wants too lose their funding. Don't forget that the earth once was flat(although their was proof) and after that that the planets and the sun were turning around our planet. This is the same story(in my opinion).

I wish I would learn my lesson...

contact the company from where you bought it(sprocket or other). They will normally give you a new link.
  13. wouldn't that be round? If you get at one side you come to the other side, like in our real world doing a full turn around the world. If it would be flat, you would just fell off, no? Anyway never encountered this. Good to know some people do . So if I wanted to create a mission with the sound of artillery, but nothing in the immediate vicinity, I could just put it on the other side of the map and hear it? It seems strange because I always thought that if you flew out of the map, you just kept seeing water.(or is it only sound doing that?)

    a Single Mission "dont" work

ok, I just played it again. You don't even have to board the truck if you come close it completes aswell. Now are all your objectives completed? you can check that when you are at the map. Make sure that you sneak into the base, as otherwise you will fail the objective to infiltrate the base, and then it might not end. Also, depending on the game mode(cadet/veteran) do you see the objectives, the yellow boxes that point at the objectives, otherwise you might want to follow that. if it is all completed and still not ends then you perhaps should restart it completely, and perhaps in cadet mode to see the boxes so you are sure you didn't forget anything?

climatic changes, what do you think about that?

Ok, we both agree the CO2 level increases. But not on what it does. Now that is the first point, it's the other way around. Temperature contributed to CO2 in the paleclimatic changes. To be more precise they did even react on eachother, sometimes CO2 changing and then temperature or the other way around. quoted from this site. Will the increased CO2: -Have little effect on our temperature because of effects that compensate by rejecting more heat - like an increase in reflective clouds? -Cause our climate to get substantially warmer? -Result in a runaway greenhouse effect like that on Venus? If you want more info about the greenhouse effect on Venus you might want to go here. My point is, nothing says that CO2(or greenhouse gases) is causing the temperature to rise, or will it let it rise in the future. My goal is to let people see, that the global warming thing is completely hyped, and that most scientists (working in global warming) gladly have the lot of money support they are getting(and increasing each year). As stated before, I would prefer governements spent more to other, also vital research. And what I hate the most is that these days, all politicians use it to promote themselfes (that's all I'm saying off politics before I get   )

There is no AI in the mission Night strike, you are alone. But could you try to explain it a bit better(you might even want to use babelfish or something) because it's really hard to understand

climatic changes, what do you think about that?

hey again, Well you made a nice list of all things. There is a relation between the current temperature rise and the increasing CO2 level. But is it influencing the temperature? And how come the CO2 level rises? The humans produces a lot of CO2, but nature itself produces more then humans... I think that the temperature controls the CO2 levels. Perhaps it has to do with an increased activity of the sun(which is quite hard to measure, as we don't have much data about it from before the seventies.) and yes, we do know that on other planets, temperature has increased aswell.(see previous post) Because of this CO2 could have been released from the oceans for example.(this is just an example/theory! Also a vulcano eruption only cools the planet for a "short" period, being, depending on the power of the eruption, 2 to 20 years(maybe even more, because som eruption were really powerfull). Also a huge amount of CO2 is being catapulted in the atmospehere aswell, so if you 'd say that CO2 would warm up the earth, why wouldn't it cancel the effect of the ashes? I'm talking of CO2 a lot because people blame only CO2 for the global warming. edit: Just found this pic: In here you can also see methan (CH4) and solar variation. There is one thing I'm sure of: the future will give us answers .

    Adjust  joystick forcefeedback level?

you can adjust the force feedback in windows itself, in the control panel=> game controllers, select your joystick, click properties. Then at the bottom of the screen you have a settings button where you can adjust the force feedback. I hope that will help

climatic changes, what do you think about that?

So here you say that the sun can impact the weather, if it does that, why can't it impact climate? The sun isn't a constant thing. It changes all the time. Your barbecue story in T-shirt in february is true for this year, it was a warm winter in most of europe, but in the US, they had a really cold winter. And previous year was also cold here. Also temperature hasn't increased only on eath. On mars, and I think even other planets, temperature has also increased from 1970(the start of the rising) to now with approximatly the same temperature of 0,5°C on our planet. source This might point directly to the sun again. CO2 is perhaps rising but it's not affecting temperature. The temperature decrease from 1940-1970 is a very important timeframe which doesn't fit in the CO2 rises, temperature rises theory.

climatic changes, what do you think about that?

In my opinion, the debate about global warming is important, as a lot of people are just plain wrong. I'm not doing this because I don't want to change my habits or anything. I want that the huge amount of money that is going into the research of global warming partly goes to more important research like processing of nuclear waste or pollution or agricultural improvements, faster computers, space-exploration,.... @Red kite: it was my pleasure . I'm always happy to support people that(I think:p) are right. And I'm happy to share my knowledge, what some people luckely appreciate

climatic changes, what do you think about that?

Well partly cows are indeed guilty! We are guilty, all life is guilty. You and I are made from CO2! So it's logic we release CO2. Even if leaves fall from the trees in autumn, while the nature is processing them, they are releasing CO2. Â Without carbondioxide we wouldn't even be living. Also vulcano-eruptions release a massif amount of CO2. A lot of CO2 is stored into the ground, and then I'm not speaking of the amount of CO2 that is stored into the oceans. Give me 1 good reason why life wouldn't produce more CO2 then industry, knowing there are more then 6,000,000,000 people on earth, and a LOT of animals and trees aswell. I don't know the exact number an animal or human produces, but if you count that up, you get a bigger number then industry which is at 6,5 Gigatons of CO2. Â I think the amount life makes is at around 150 Gigatons of CO2. It's not a theory, it's a fact...

climatic changes, what do you think about that?

@walker: yes, CO2 is related to temperature, but CO lags 800 years behind temperature. So first you have an increase in temperature and only after 800 years you have an increase in CO2. The fact that temperature changes happened is not irrelevant. The temperature only started rising again after 1970. Before that, from 1940 to 1970 the temperature decreased, that's 30 years that the temperature decreased, and this in the post-war economic boom, where the industry grew incredibly fast, with a huge increase in CO2. CO2 doesn't influence temperature, but it's the other way around, temperature influences CO2. Also do you know who/what emits the most CO2? If you think it's us humans, you are completely wrong.
