Do you have the same problem with other games or programs? It's a strange problem. Could you perhaps try to ping to the server you are connecting to, or to do a tracert to it? Of course for that you'll need an ip-adress or DNS-name(don't know if you can find that)

you should try to put -maxmem=512 in the shortcut, to do that, right click on the ArmA shortcut, and click properties. There you should see Target with a box with something like: "H:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" Â in it. Just type -maxmem=512 after it. like this: "H:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" -maxmem=512 it's not 100% certain it works though. There is an existing thread about aswell here

you should disable the automatic reboot to be able to see what the blue screen says(as I suppose you get them prior to the reboot). You can do this by going to the control panel, and there to system. There you go to "advanced" and then startup and recovery settings. There should be a phrase saying automatic restart, and just uncheck it. If you get back a blue screen, you can just write down what it says, and then reboot manually. without the error there are thousands of possibilities... although if it's only in multiplayer it might be caused by a firewall or something. if you have the error, you can post it in here or google it.

well, what error do you get? Latest drivers of everything? You said that it worked before without a problem, so it doesn't seem to be the product but the user...

MP crash (CTD) error 0xc06d007f - any clues?

Do you have any firewall or antivirus program running? If yes, try to disable the firewall or real-time scanning for a while and see if it works then. -
I don't think it's starforce. How could that possible affect Arma when it actually launches? Starforce is bad, but not in that way. Do you hear any sound/music when you start arma and get the black screen? Did you change any (video/audio) settings in arma before it went black? if yes, you might perhaps check the config file of arma (ArmA.cfg) and check if everything is ok, perhaps even try to change some things as the resolution and the refreshrate to a lower value. The weird thing is that a re-install didn't do anything, so it might be caused by something else. Perhaps you could try updating your graphic drivers.

you can't. You need third-party software like FRAPS for example.

I'm not experiencing a dead zone as you describe in point 1. if I move my stick slightly down, he reacts fine on it. What joystick do you have? Also did you install any software with it, and are you using it? I agree on 2, they could perhaps implement it. And finally, I can't compare it to OFP, it has been a while that I played it, and it's not even installed anymore Â

works great on: CPU: AMD 4600+ s939 motherboard: asus A8r32-MVP deluxe RAM: 4*512Mb pc3200 (twinmos) HD: RAID0 500GB(WD caviar 250GB) and seagate 200Gb GPU: gigabyte x1950 pro PSU: enermax 380W DVD: optiarc AD-5170A sony DRU-710A windows XP SP2 Arma european version(505 games street) -
well, you should be able to buy a geforce 8500GT or 7300GT(nvidia) or an ati x1650 for +-75$. Those support pixel shader 2.0.
-
also are you using any mods or addons? (like for example FDF sounds)

English language version its all czech !
Kode replied to Holden_McGroin's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
normally you should be able to change the language of the game in the options menu to english. After that you need to relaunch the game and it should be in english. If that doesn't help, contact the company from which you bought it. -
I would be quite happy with it, new island, new campaigns, new units. Considering the price of ArMa to other games it was cheap. So I would happely buy the expansion aswell.
-
in the changelog of patch 1.08 it's written that that issue is fixed. So normally you shouldn't see it again  . So there is strictly no reason to shoot at a helicopter unless it's an enemy one.
-
could you also post the content of C:\DOCUME~1\Admin\Locals~1\temp\d52a_appcompat.txt here?
-
do you have the latest ATI-driver installed?
-
first off the game hasn't been in development very long. They only started 2 years ago.(note that it has already been released for 6 months) Also the game doesn't take advantage of dual core, still you will see a small performance increase with a dualcore CPU(something like 10%). Saying a single CPU performs better then a dualcore is plain wrong...
-
shouldn't you post that in the existing evolution thread? It's located right here
-
Install 1.08 patch right now or wait for fix?
Kode replied to BF2_Trooper's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
If all servers are switching to 1.08 that means that the patch is working correrectly, and the error is located on your system in some way edit: typo -
but not according to the site: ArmA: Combat Operations by Atari Boxed and download Version 1.06 To be released soon! source
-
you have to contact the publisher because they are the ones that put securom on it. So it's reasonable that they are responsible and not BIS, as they have nothing to do with it...
-
that's because you have used the europeon patch. You have to wait for the atari patch to come out, which will come out shortly.
-
I've noticed some servers already have version 1.08...where are they getting the patch from
-
It really doesn't make much of a difference, if you got an older version it's good enough. Uninstalling the CPU doesn't do much either. Perhaps the only thing that changes is that it won't go to a lower frequency (if you even utilise that)
