  1. after you have placed the IED and blown up the first SUV, walk up to it and you will find the two un investigators lying wounded on the ground. Shoot them.

Hello, I have the problem with the PMC mission named "Deception". I killed Dixon and I have to place device (IED) to the road and kill investigators. But everytime I place device and kill the investigator's SUV's (THEY'RE TWO!!!) nothing happens. So I tried to get out of vehicle and shoot out the investigators but they everytime kill me or Asano say me that I reveal and then helicopter arrive and kill us. Please do a tutorial for me

    i'am  (confused) !!

I tried to do this mission 100x times but fail

ps. admins please move to official missions thread

  2. Well I finished the campaign with no problems or bugs encountered and no hiccups or stutters with video playbacks. I must be doing something wrong! I thought the camaign was great and it just goes to prove that BIS are catering to very different tastes with each new camaign they bring out. As for this one I reckon it was designed with the minimum amount of controling AI and as such it was very welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed this campaign and consider my money very well spent indeed > Well done BIS, its nice to know that you also include the less than hardcore gamer in your design criterea.

I went with Reynolds and saved the world from economic metdown. So this time I will try the other ending :)

  3. Title says it all as the rules say it should?

Got Arma 2/OA/PMC installed, but when trying to run Combined Arms I get the message as in my title.

Getting a little pissed off, as Arma 2 has never worked properly, and even though expansions/DLC's (and the patches that come with them) promise to fix things, they only get worse/ they don't even work at all. After waiting for (let's blame them for it) Steam to fix the PMC DLC from not even being activated to now it still not working is just too much.

Especially since the gaming industry still is somehow untouchable from the most basic consumer rights of actually getting what you pay for, or getting your money back. (Strange how companies can sue eachother over the smallest pieces of "stolen" code when employees swap jobs, but selling false/broken feature lists to consumers is completely legit as long as you can prove it's in, but bugged with an airey promise of fixing it.)

I don't want to hear how I'm supposed to delete everything and during reinstall copy files left and right while I'm running shit as admin and changing .cfg files to get it all to work. I shelled out over 80 bucks for this softwarepackage and it needs to $^#@^% work.

Just letting you know this is the problem causing me to stop playing, as this wasn't yet among the many problems posted here. Have fun, the second they change laws I'm coming for my money.

You did apply patch 1.56 before applying PMC didnt you?

  4. Well I am currently playing through the campaign and I am loving it. Its great to get back to basics and not have to faff about micro managing the AI.

I cant understand all the negativity about the campaign being included in the lite version. If you want to play the game with such crappy graphics then you are welcome to it. Me? I prefer the paid for download with its crisp grahpics. Before I bought the game I knew the content and had made the decision that it was worth the price. It doesnt matter what was contained in the patch, for me the decision is based on what was in the PMC DLC and in my opinion it is worth the £8.

One more thing, bear in mind that DLC is still relatively new to BIS and they are still finding their feet and on a learning curve when it comes to how to best implement it so lets lighten up a bit on the accusations of BIS ripping us all off on this particular DLC. BIS have never sold their customers down the river in the way many other companies have and I dont expect them to start now. Its not what they are about.

There are things they may not get right first time but at least I am confident they will learn from that and improve upon it . Its all to easy to whinge and forget all the great content that they have already provided to us for free, so lets cut them a bit of slack in this regard. they have done enough positive things in the past to have earned that much at least

  5. Hi guys,

I guess it's not the proper section for such a question but I don't know in which editing category I should ask this.

I'm also quite sure this has been asked/answered before but I couldn't find any relevant thread when I've google it.

So my question is how to link 2 (or more) maps together. IRCC this was made in the 1st mission of ArmA2. You started on the LHD (utes) then flew to tchernarus (with a loading screen inbetween).

What I'd like to do is linking all the desert map together : Takistan, sharpur, avgani, Afghan Village,... For example when you'd reach the northern limit of takistan a loading screen would pop out and you' be "teleported" to, say, the southern limit of Avgani. On Avgani once you'd reach the eastern limit you would be teleported to Afghan village and so on.

Is this even possible ? If yes I guess all the object/units/triggers,... would desappear from one map to another and thus if you'd come back you wouldn't find the map as it was when you left it.

    Thank you

You mean like I suggested here? http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=101466

Yeah I agree it would be great.

  6. Thanks for your answer Warrior X, Actually the more I think of it, the more I like the way you did it. After all, the guys out there back in the day couldn't pick and choose the make up of their squad when they were in the bush so neither should we be able to.

Thanks to each and every UNSUNG MOD member. I am loving this mod.

@Snafu: If you enjoy reading about 'Nam stuff you really should get "Matterhorn" by Karl Marlantes. It really brings out the reality of what it was like to be in the midst of that hell. After reading it I have nothing but admiration for the men who served there.

  7. Tried again and this time the crew did attempt to fly back to base after I told them to. Trouble was it flew into a tree and blew up! Mind you it was a tall tree lol. Re the first incident of the crew disembarking, I hadnt taken any fire that I was aware of but as it didnt happen the second time I reckon its just one of those wierd ARMA flukes.

All in all, I am having a ball. One thing though. when I am being given replacement troops, is there any way that I can choose a medic? I lost my medic on a patrol and when I got replacements, none of them was a medic.
