Just a little one I set up using Blackblood's UK Desert Troops and the SJB Tears of the Sun Sig Sauer

So just because I'm not a gifted addon making mod leader, means the Falklands Mod isn't successful? I think I've done a pretty good job at making the Falklands Mod one of the leading mods around at this moment in time... Jeez dont take it personally   when posting in a pretty general thread you have to be pretty general in your observations. One appearance in a PC mag and you think your the dogs bollocks..... Well, they're the first mod to do a working V/STOL jet, and everything I've seen of theirs has been really high quality, so I'd say they were the dog's danglies mate. Or is it just jealousy because your mod didn't get a mention in PC Format?

What's the big deal with you and British units? I mean, the subtitle of this thread is "any request met," not "any request except for this, that and the other"

Shouting "EVERYONE ON ME! GO, GO, GO! COME ON.... guys? Why aren't you running with me? Bloody hell lads, what's wro-" on TS just before I get stitched by a machine gun nest that everyone apart from me had seen, but neglected to mention  I'm a well-rounded soldier and an alright driver. Most comfortable with a 3.5x or 4x scoped rifle as opposed to a sniper rifle, and I used to have an incredible knack for shooting choppers down with LAW launchers... racked up three in one game once, two of which were bearing down on my squad with guns blazing
-
I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Gazelle is primarily used for recce. It's not really built to be zipping around up the sharp end with machine-gun pods strapped to it.

Strange but true: the Scorpion and Scimitar CVR(T)'s (not sure about Spartan, Samson or the others) have a lower ground pressure than an infantryman. I know this because my old man used to be equipped with Scorpions, and he said he's driven through boggy terrain with no problem, while grunts were stuck up to their waists in it

That's grass? It looks like someone's been arsing around with the spraypaint tool in MS Paint if you ask me

I didn't really go a bundle over the last release, but this is really good! The explosion effects are probably the best I've seen so far, and the touches like the new skies and the overtorque on the helicopters really add a lot to OFP
-
Uh, I'd scream in horror and proceed to crash into the ground and burn to death in the wreckage, because I've never been trained how to pilot a helicopter gunship Â

Fame at last! I was driving the patrol boat closest to the camera

Nicely atmostpheric pic... Although I'm guessing the mustache was brushed on? Cheers mate. About the 'tache, that's my custom face. Helps to look different in MP, so your squad knows who's leading

OFP2: Takes all the nasty bits like dying out of modern warfare OFP2: "Oh no... SOLDNER... is down!"
-
Ah, good old ninja-style black op. How I've missed you.

I'm plain old Kooky, although my tagged-up OFP name is [CSM] Kooky [VCB] (Company Sergeant Major, Volunteer Commando Battalion). And just in case anyone nabs my name, I have this... ...slightly edited face... ...to make sure people know I'm the real me Â

OFP2: When you absoulutely positively have to shoot something in the face with an assault rifle OFP2: So close to war, you'll get flashbacks and tell your grandkids you did this all for real

Hmm, I'm not keen on this at all. I don't mind playing games or watching films about wars or events once they've dropped out of the public consciousness (give it about five years). For example, the Gulf War and the Russian/Afghan War I can deal with, but not the Iraq War or the recent conflict in Afghanistan... The first two are modern history, the last two are current events. The day when new reports about war become entertainment will be a sad day alright Â

Just my 0.02 USD: Can you use a proper altitude warning sound effect instead of the current one? I'd much rather hear Bitching Betty than Bitching Brian Â

Wow, I'm really impressed now I've had some time to play with them. I like the reactive armour explosions when one of these beauties takes a hit especially, and the turret getting blown off... that's a wonderful touch. First time it happened to me was one of the coolest OFP moments I've ever seen: my resistance team was defending the ruins of a town against the Russians, who were rolling BTR-80s and BTR-T's against us. Due to the fact that armoured vehicles don't last long in built up areas, I started racking up plenty of kills with my RPG-7, until the ammo crate at my position got emptied. I decided to run across the main street and to grab some rockets off the body of a dead RPGer, only to find myself almost getting squashed by a BTR-T. I fluked it and managed to grab the rockets I needed, before putting one into the skirts of the BTR-T. The gunner took his time swinging the turret round, and I put another in the side. Just before the 30mm let rip, I decided to fall back, but he tracked me with the cannon until I got behind a building. The BTR-T rolled up to the street towards where I was hiding, so I burst out of cover and loosed off my last rocket, and knocked it out. The crew got out an were just about to get away before it brewed up and killed them. The turret was blasted off and I watched it, not believing my eyes, until it landed about six inches away from me!
-
Just curious, which island was used for that second shot (the BTR-T in the grass)? The first one looks like Catsh*t's Afghanistan island.

"Don't worry boys, they're miles off yet!" Â

You sir, are a saint. MP shotgun antics, here I come!
